Saturday 21st January was our first visit to this place. Did not expect much, especially after reading the menu, and noticed the items were on the pricy side. Nevertheless, after ordering two New York Steak, my perception changed for good. Chimichurry needs more work, yet still tasty. Overall, it was a good experience, great customer service, and reasonable fast delivery.

My first time eating here. The food and atmosphere was good. Our server was attentive and great as well. The live pianist was a bonus. The only thing I didn't like hence the 4 star is the table they gave us was very small oval shaped table that I found was too small for 4 people. It would've served better for two people but not 4. Other than that I recommend the restaurant.

Attended the Burnaby Villa location of Atlas 2 weeks ago. Been there many times but this was the worst experience. Very noisy. Drink service was very poor. Worst martinis we have had in years, glass half full and waited 15-20 minutes for the expensive drinks. Food was not good this evening. Server had a bit of attitude and needs to be more professional. She need to comb and wash her hair before starting her shift.

For the price, it is very decent to add on, prawns, scallops, and fois gras to your meal. Under 20 dollars! The lobster bisque here is one of my favourite. Also under $20 with caviar and lobster meat in the soup. The only thing that wasn't 5 star was that the service was a bit slow for me.

In late 2017, Atlas Steak + Fish took over the former location of EBO in the Grand Villa Casino to bring us an upscale steak and seafood house centred around their specially designed, mesquite-fueled, Josper grill.

Arriving early on the weekend for their dinner service, we got a very nice table which faced out towards the piano and bar area. We were pleasantly surprised to have a pianist playing a mix of pop hits while we dined and we had a fun time trying to guess the names of the various songs he was interpreting with his own style.

After reviewing their tablet which contained their drink menu, we opted for the Imperial Pear ($8 for a single) and Zen Cucumber ($8 for a single), both of which were quite refreshing. Our friendly server also brought us out some pan bread with blue cheese butter. Let me tell you, this bread was really good! I didn’t want to get too full on the bread but it was served warm in the cast iron pan and had a nice, light crispness to the exterior while the insides were fluffy and perfect with the creamy blue cheese butter.

While you can get your Caesar Salad ($14) prepared tableside if you have at least 2 orders, we didn’t really want 2 salads so we just opted for 1 salad (which isn’t prepared tableside). This was a fairly traditional Caesar salad with heart of romaine, parmegiano-reggiano cheese, and a light Caesar dressing.

The West Coast Bouillabaisse ($30) was simply amazing! The seafood here (including black tiger prawns, mussels, clams, salmon, and rock fish) all tasted so fresh and I loved how big and plump the mussels were. But the real winner here was the rich and creamy San Marzano tomato and lobster broth.

For our side dish, we picked the Josper Roasted Vegetables ($8) which had a nice mix of asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, and Brussels sprouts.

This is what I came for… the 16oz Chili Rubbed Cowboy Rib Steak ($65) from 40-day aged certified angus beef. The meat was so tender, juicy, and flavourful… damn!

They’re known for their baked Alaska but we needed something a bit lighter so we went with the Frozen Trio ($10) which turned out to be Early Grey Ice Cream, Peach Sorbet, and Dulce Gelato with strawberries and pineapple.

Overall, dinner here was really good and the atmosphere was great for a date night.

We came back to try their lunch service in mid-December and managed to sit in the same lounge area. We were lucky that the same piano player was there so we enjoyed our meal with some live music. First off… drinks! We liked the Zen Cucumber last time so we ordered it again and paired it with an El Diablo with Sauza Silver Tequila, blackberry carbonated ginger ale.

As it was close to Christmas-time, they had a winter set menu available ($35 for 3 course meal) which included this Butternut Squash Salad as well as a main course of turkey breast with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts and dessert. The squash was quite tender but made for a filling appy.

I decided to order from their regular lunch menu because I wanted to try the Lobster Bisque ($10) served with seared scallop and roe. To be honest, I think this soup lacked the rich lobstery punch that I’m used to and the flavour was too muted.

The Turkey Breast turned out pretty good and I’ve always got a soft spot for Brussels sprouts. Odd since I never enjoyed them as a kid.

For my main, I opted with the Mussels and Frites ($19) OMG, these frites were amazing! They had a nice crispness to the exterior and they were sprinkled with a cheesy mayo-type dressing.

The mussels were served in a cast iron skillet and accompanied with chorizo in a tomatoey broth.

For the dessert in the 3-course meal, they brought out Crème Brûlée with Chocolate-Dipped Biscotti.

Overall, I’ve been quite pleased by the meals that I’ve had at Atlas. Personally, I prefer the dinner menu offering and enjoy the live entertainment that they have in the lounge.

Food: 9.7/10

Half-priced oysters: Happy Hour
Featuring fresh shucked oysters (ask for today’s selection) in shaved ice, accompanied by sauces, such as gin cocktail on the side. Prepared by the Garde Manger cook Yuki, this was a great execution to the appetizer with the chips.

Lobster Bisque: Soup
Featuring a scallop with black roe caviar presented in the middle, the lobster bisque packs a punch in your face when you experience its delicious and savoury taste of the soup. The bisque and scallop works together as a balance to the soup, as drinking the soup alone will not compensate enough for the taste and smell that seems to have been handmade, because of its great flavours and careful preparation in the back of house. Thank you for the wonderful soup. En Garde!

Frozen Trio: Dessert
Featuring matcha, mango and coconut ice cream, this was a refresher to the hot and satisfying lobster bisque that I have just savoured. I would definitely recommend this dessert after a delicious meal. Well done, dessert/pastry chef!

Drink: Henry Special

Service: 10/10

Another great restaurant with its friendly servers, bartenders and hard-working staff. The cooks, while working on the line, will be making sure that the food is well-served, including allergy-related accommodations. The selection of the menu has been careful made so that the restaurant can serve many people with a variety of dishes, while still serving top-quality food. The servers smile genuinely, and they are just as hard-working as the cooks and staff at the back of house. Lastly, the bartenders are skillful. They will whip up a great drink for ya. Thank you, Atlas Steak + Fish!

Atmosphere: 10/10

Atlas’ lighting, if not elegant, also stunning and fanciful arranged. Music is included, with occasional pianist that come and perform for the guests. It really feels like that you’re at home, with a warm feeling before you leave and during the dine-in. Great atmosphere all around. I appreciate it.

First visit to Atlas with wife and her friend.
Ordered the steak tartar, crab cake, chilled seafood salad, tomahawk steak medium rare, asparagus and mac + cheese. Got myself a whiskey sour and wife had the Atlas mule.

The star of the show was the tomahawk, but the sauce it came with was what made it stand out compared to other tomahawks I've had. Kim, out wonderful server did a great job making the salad and tomahawk sauce tableside.

I will be coming back here to try other menu items soon!

One of my friends had her birthday dinner here and everything was so delicious. I loved the grilled vegetables and the steak was mouth watering. I was still thinking of that steak days later. For dessert we had the chocolate peanut butter marquis bar and the strawberry rhubarb Pavlov cheesecake. Chefs Uri and Harry did an amazing job with the food and our server Brigitte was so friendly and attentive I hope to be seated in her table section the next time I go.

We celebrated my friends birthday at Atlas and it was a nice surprise to have the ability to have the Piano player playing while we enjoyed the dinner. The cioppino was well balanced and very easy on the stomach. The steaks where melting on the tongue and just about right. The grilled vegetable still had the natural flavor which is nice. We had the complimentary bread buns, with blue cheese butter. It's certainly a must try, because even blue cheese haters might love it. The waiters and waitresses are very accommodating and enjoy their job what makes dining there much more enjoyable. Rather happy people around you as people who hate their job.

Living in downtown Vancouver, I have been able to try most of the good restaurants here. My wife and I decided to try Atlas Steak & Fish in the Grand Villa. We were not too sure what to expect. Let me say this experience was incredible! The food was so flavorful, the presentation top shelf, the service (Wade) was outstanding! All the little touches made us feel like we were in Las Vegas. Well done!

We had a great dinner and time here for my birthday. Fitz was impeccable as our waiter and we really appreciated his hospitality! We’ll be back!

Consistently yummy food. The menu has changed but we enjoyed everything we tried. Love the happy hour 1/2 priced oysters too! We appreciated that they split our salad. I avoid gluten and didn't have a problem finding options here. Great service and it makes for a fun date night! Dinner and casino for the win

We attended a Birthday party at the restaurant last night. The food and service was excellent. The 6 oz. Tenderloin was cooked perfectly and so tender. Side vegetables were perfectly prepared Al dente, and dessert of Strawberry Rhubarb Cheese Cake was excellent.

Staff was professional and extremely attentive with beverages and food service. All in all, service was seamless for the group of 30-40 guests.

Amazing steak! The Keg doesn't even compare to how good this was! Also one of the best old fashioneds I've ever had!

The atmosphere is great, but the food is just average. If you are a vegetarian/vegan I would not recommend going. Waste of money. If u enjoy seafood on the other hand, u should check it out!

The ambiance is amazing, and the live music played is a really nice addition to feeling of the restaurant. The food was lacking, our calamari was cold and it just wasn't what I was expecting. We had to send a caesar salad back because it had bacon in it (requested one with no bacon) and the server caught an attitude with us and was cold to us all evening, it really set the mood off.

We've been several times a day it has been very consistent. The food is very good. The service is excellent and I like how quickly the food is served.

Usually, I don’t leave reviews but the food was so disappointing at this price! We decided to try this place last night for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere was nice, and the live piano was great. But it doesn't make up for the food quality!

Ordered the $125 Porter House Steak in medium rare and the whole steak was cut so thin in the kitchen like quarter inch each slice. The presentation was off with no sear on it and the steak was cut in such an awful way. Felt like sandwich meat instead of a steak, it had no bite to it. It was my first time ordering this cut, so I was not sure if this was normal, so I asked the server if they normally cut it this thin? She just told me they cut this before serving so it would be easier. It didn’t really answer my question, but I didn’t want to make the dinner uncomfortable. I've added photos so people can decide for themselves. Also, ordered other sides to go with the steak and nothing was outstanding. Actually, surprised that the mac & cheese was made out of blue cheese it was so overpowering.
