Halibut was nice and fresh, the batter was perfect, love the staff’s will come back soon for sure.

Halibut was so thin. Mostly batter and it slide right off. New owners, better before. Unfortunately won't be returning to this location.

I absolutely love fish and chips but this was the absolute worst I’ve ever had and I’ve tried most places in metro Vancouver. I had the halibut and chips and it was so greasy that I barely made it through a couple of bites, I even tried to soak some of the oil off with napkins however it did nothing to help. It tasted like the oil was off and as you can see in the pictures that the oil is clearly extremely dirty and isn’t changed regularly. When I mentioned this to the waitress she seemed very unimpressed. My husband had the same thing as me and both of us went home feeling sick and spent the night sharing a bottle of Peptobismol.

While it was very busy, we placed our order and waited over 50 mins before finally leaving the restaurant without ever being served. Other tables received their food before us, perhaps they lost our order. I'm sure this is an anomaly, but first impressions are powerful and we won't be back!

Friendly staff but bog standard food, piece of fish way too small for what they charge, chips were tasteless, usually if a place is all you can eat it translates to poor quality,

Good potion good service for take out but not a fan of chips that are cooked numerous times and tempura batter. Prefer real English style batter like me mum used to make. But the fish inside was fresh.

Every time I’ve been here it’s a Monday, I always forget it’s closed, I wonder how many other people show up on a Monday.

The food and prices are good. But you wait 30 mins beyond your pick up time or they forget x 3 something. Better to deal with a restaurant with some sort of quality control.

We arrived at 530pm, friday evening, and it appeared full for dine in - tables were quite far apart and distance followed per PHO - dinner for 2 dine-in, wild cod was the order - take out service took priority given the time - meal arrived 25mins later, but it felt like forever - perhaps better planning on our part for a later sitting may help - I recommend this place - will certainly visit soon!

Great place. Staff are very friendly and food comes pretty quick. I come here often. Wild cod is on point

The fish wasn't too bad. The two servers were very good but clearly overworked. The coleslaw was horrible. Tasted like cabbage, lard and sugar. The place also was quite dirty. I didn't look in the kitchen but can only imagine from the state of the floors and tables. Obviously Fraser Health has not visited in while.

You should try this spot! The young woman that served us was pleasant and efficient. The food was good. We both had 1 piece halibut dinner. The servings were generous. It was about $25 for both of us. And everyone wished us goodnight and Merry Christmas A pleasant experience all around.

Attention in here is great people is super kind.
Prices are great, portions are BIG taste good, proof of that is a lot of British people comes.
Lighting is bright and space is open, music is good volume so you can have a nice conversation.
Is licenced so you can have beer with your fish and chips.or the scallops Platte

Best Fish & Chips in Vancouver in my opinion. Great family restaurant. Food and service is great.

Very long wait, okay food but C-Lovers or Cockney Kings is much better for consistency and quality. Tartar sauce was mostly miracle whip.
01 October 2018 14:22
I am a C-Lovers fan.you can’t beat it. Period. So when I moved to Pitt Meadows with no C-Lovers close by. I was devastated. It took me a loooonnnnng time to work up the courage to try this place.which I think is the only fish place in this tiny ‘don’t blink’ burrough. Anyways. I’ve been back many times since. I don’t do cod, but the halibut is always delicious, I like the fries well enough and the prices are good too. The cole slaw is awful though, sorry guys.but it’s clearly not made with any sort of interest in making a ‘good’ cole slaw.it’s like you threw old mayo in a bowl with some random seasonings and hoped for the best. Seriously.find a real recipe, there are literally hundreds out there that actually taste like cole slaw is supposed to.

But I digress.the halibut is good, the cooks are fast and the waitresses are always busting their butts. They are great girls who always seem to go the extra mile, even for my kid, which is something I take notice of.

Oh.on that note.one thing that irritates me is that they only ever have one waitress on, so when it’s busy, as it tends to be at dinner time, the lone waitress really has her hands full (at least they have multiple cooks!) and nobody ever seems to help her.

Anyways I made this review because I wanted to defend the place because of other negative reviews that I thought were unnecessarily harsh.

Bottom line:
It’s really pretty good battered fish here. Always busy at dinner time and that alone should tell you something. Crappy restaurants aren’t EVER busy. Think about it. Also, those of you complaining about grease, get a grip. First off - it’s NOT greasy like you’re making it out to be. It’s actually pretty NOT greasy. And anyways, it’s freakin’ deep fried in oil, and you knew that before you crossed the threshold. Give us all a break.

Owners: please get a decent cole slaw recipe - what you're serving now isn’t cole slaw in any imagination.

That is all.
