Austins Fish and Chips

It's very yummy, the pieces of fish are big! The 2 piece halibut n chips is more than enough for 180lb me. My mom n dad and brother really like it too. Whenever my parents come down from Merritt they want Austin fish n chips. You can order online too if you don't wanna phone but it'll cost you a little extra because you'll have to use "skip the dishes" or "door dash"

Really great fish, not too much breading and fish is moist, super yummy! Their chips are very standard chips, so still quite tasty. The appys are good, but also very standard and not very exciting. Overall this is my favorite place to eat fish and chips.

Fresh and good size fish. Chips are fresh and just right. The owner lady was very friendly. Very decent price. My friends and I did some calculation that it will be a good deal we drive from Burnaby to Chilliwack just to have their fish and chips

I checked this place out just after the lunch rush so there wasn’t anyone inside besides myself, which I liked. The fish was that perfect blend of crispy outside and tender and juicy inside. The chips were also perfectly done, crispy and soft at the same time. The cook personally asked if i enjoyed the meal as did the server, they both seemed genuine and friendly. Service was quick and i really enjoyed the time spent there. Highly recommended. I’ll be back for sure.

We loved the fish, but the chips were really funky, tasted like bad oil, won't order fries again, coleslaw isn't as good as it use to be, trying c-lovers tomorrow

Best fish and chips in town. Large pieces of your choice of fish, so you don't overdose on batter. Service is always excellent. You can have a dinner or go for the all you can eat fish and chips. Nice selection on the menu.

This was our first time trying Austin Fish as we are new to the area and I can say 100% the best tasting fish and chips. Thank you to the cooks enduring the hot weather to supply your customers with a fabulous meal️

I quite enjoyed my lunch here. The prices were good for what I ordered. The food tasted good. The restaurant itself is a little rough in my opinion, but that's okay, it's got character.

First time ordering: We ordered the 2 piece cod meal deal via Uber Eats tonight.

For the price this was a great meal! Wasn’t sure what to expect but as we prefer a “thinner” batter on our fish, this was awesome!

Decent size pieces of fish and pretty good tartar sauce. The fries were good but the real star was the fish. Door to door we had our meal in 45min. When I also called the restaurant initially they were super friendly. We will be going back for sure!

Love their tempura batter. It makes their fish light and crispy. Also, their coleslaw is made with their own dressing, so it doesn't taste artificial.

Great food and great price. My first time there and I'll definitely be back. Very polite staff as well.

On my recent visit for the highly recommended Austin’s Fish & chips, I wasn’t let down.
The recommendations spoke highly of the establishment its hard working employees and the fantastic fish & chips.
The early evening visit with my “better half” was a throughly enjoyable experience.we were taken to a table by our server, who provided cool water, and after a short while, took our order.
The halibut & haddock were cooked to perfection along with the chips.
The food, as I say, was wayy beyond any one’s expectations, certainly mine.
Another food establishment which deserves full credit for their attention to cleanliness, staff attitude and food preparation.
I applaud the entire business and highly recommended others to go there to sample a varied list of brilliantly cooked food.

Good quality fish & chips at a reasonable price. The halibut was cooked just right with minimal oil saturated in the batter. Service was both efficient and friendly. I recommend Austins if you find yourself around Downtown Chilliwack.

The woman who owns it seems to work up front a lot and is very accommodating. They've made it through covid with all the authoritarian and constantly changing rules which is a miracle for most restaurants.
They do a ton of takeout. I was sitting there on a Tuesday which is normally a slow day for restaurants. Every table was full of at least two people and most had 3-4. I watched through the curtain as they made meal after meal and heard the dinging door buzzard as more and more delivery guys came in. It was incredible.
Busy for a reason. Its a must try.

We stepped inside Austins, and were asked to pick our own seat, but the majority of the tables were not cleared. We had no choice but to sit at a table in the middle of the room, which had been cleared but not properly cleaned as it still had food debris on it, and had a direct view of the washroom whose door was wide open.

We ordered one Cod fish & chips and two Pollock All You Can Eat which was on promotion. We ordered two Cokes with no ice but they arrived with ice. We thought everyone made mistakes, no need to make it difficult for the waitress. When we paid the bill, the waitress charged us for two Cod All You Can Eat instead of two Pollock All You Can Eat. The waitress then said to us that she didn't mention to us that Cod All You Can Eat was on promotion, so she ordered Cod All You Can Eat for us instead of Pollock All You Can Eat. We were fully aware that the fish we had was Pollock and not Cod. Make sure what you order is what you pay for.

During our lunch, the waitress allowed outsiders with no masks to use the washroom. This seems risky during the pandemic.

Great food! Price can not be beat. Under $15 for All you can eat cod and chips and pop. The look of the interior is not the nicest.but don't let that deter you, it is by far the best fish n chips in Chilliwack. Service is excellent also. I used to always go to C-lovers.not anymore. Austin Fish n Chips. Worth checking out.

Easily the best fish n chips I've ever had. Fries are tremendous as well. Price is fantastic. They give you unlimited tartar sauce and they have all the condiments on the table waiting for you. Can't say enough how great it is.

I don’t eat deep fried food very often but once a while when I’m craving for fat and sugar I’ll have fish and chips so I tried mostly every fish and chips in town. Well, I have to say it’s the Best fish and chips in Chilliwack. Fish and oysters are really fresh, well cooked and not greasy at all. Service is great as well.

We ordered 2 dinners of 2 piece cod
. The batter on the cod was nice, the cod was just ok.pre frozen I'm guessing.

The fries were just ok.taste of old oil and they were all end pieces.there wasnt one full size fry between the two orders.

All in all, a disappointing experience!

This is the place to go if you want good fish and chips super friendly staff I drove all the way from Nova Scotia to try them out and they did not fail.

Able to dine in again! Masks must be worn unless eating.

Consistently excellent fish and chips! They use a tempura batter, so the fish is light and crispy and doesn't get soggy. It also reheats very well. Fries are fresh and house-made. Most coleslaws that come with fish and chips are pretty terrible, but the coleslaw here is clearly house-made. Fast service and very reasonably priced (less than $10 a person).

My husband and I have eaten here a few times over the last few months and each order has been fantastic. We've only had the cod option for the fish and chips and each time the fish has been cooked perfectly. We've also had a few sides and everything has been really great. This restaurant will definitely become a new regular spot.

Restaurant is dated but neat and clean. Cod fish, chips and coleslaw was very good, and large portions. Good friendly service. Will be back.

Ordered take away through a delivery service. First time trying Austins and we were not disappointed. Fish and Chips, Fried Pickles and Onion Rings all arrived hot and fresh. Fish batter was perfectly added and did not hold oil from frying. Found everything not greasy and easy to eat. The coleslaw was crisp and fresh. Definately a place we will go again.

We get it, fish and chips are a staple of coastal areas. But this place offers more than just the standard fare. It offers specialties from Southeast Asia include takoyaki octopus balls, cheese fish cakes, and ebi mayo. Plenty of appetizers and different seafood options too compared to other fish & chip shops. Definitely worth a try if you want something a little different.

The food here is very good! The fries are not greasy and the fish is done with just the right amount of batter! Will be going back!

All you can eat at a good price. The fish arrived steaming hot with thin crispy batter, and service was fast for a Saturday evening.

Excellent cod and chips! Not as greasy as other finish n chips we tried before. The coslow is very fresh and crunchy. Will definitely come back again if in town.

We were greeted by an unassuming hard working lady that looked after us in a very professional manner without being stuffy.i came there because of mobile bandit coupon and was impressed by quality of their servings.
