Our flight was delayed and Avis was able to accommodate us and hold the vehicle. The gentleman who assisted us was very quick and pleasant. Pick up and drop off process was easy, vehicle was clean and had a full tank.

Avis as great, check in was great very friendly gentlemen checked us in & also out 2 weeks later. Will definitely rent from Avis again in the future!

Quick and efficient to rent and return the car. I was early for my reservation, but it was ready, no problem. The lot was located close to the airport, which was very convenient.

I asked the attendant at Victoria bc airport if the car is equipped with snow tires as I will be driving in Malahat & staying in Duncan. He said it is equipped with snow and mud tires.
I found out that the vehicle was only equipped with an all weather tires. I got stuck at a friend's driveway. Had to dig the car out.
I was sooo leary in driving the car because it snowed heavily in the first 2 weeks of my rental period.

In Victoria, BC I received an upgraded vehicle and the I found the service of Avis exceptionally friendly and efficient

Avis at Victoria Airport BC is always a challenge and this time was exceptionally so.
The staff was unpleasant, the car unsatisfactory and as usual the paper system was not up to the 21st century.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. No problems getting the car and quickly heading out from the airport.

- Car interior: you can see dirt on the carpet and finger print on the screen.food debris in the cup holders. 2/10
- Car exterior: although not significant, but there are many scratches and dents. Based on the check-out slip provided, i have to add more to avoid future liability. 2/10
- Check-out staff: nothing special, 5/10.
- Check-in staff: asked our feedback, i basically told them my experience above. Budget and National would give offer discount or code immediately, however, at least he thanked us for providing this information. 6.5/10

Great experience with Avis Car Rental at the Victoria Airport. Friendly and accommodating staff, very nice and clean vehicle. Rented 2 booster seats and a car seat that were all provided in a timely manner and were clean. Easy check-in and return process, and a reasonable price (used a Costco discount!). Would 10/10 recommend, perfectly happy with our experience.

The representative both when I picked up and when I dropped off the vehicle were very professional, friendly, courteous knowledgeable, helpful and very quick. They made everything so easy for me. The vehicle was clean. And comfortable. Overall I was quite satisfied and I would rent from Avis again.

The SUV I rented for 18 days was very reasonably priced, pick up and drop off were very easy as well. The SUV was very reliable and the AC was ice cold even when the BC interior temps hit 44 - 45 degs celcius.

The man at the counter was polite, kind and helpful. The instructions were easy, the car was clean and the car was well maintained. When returning it was easy, just dropped off the keys.

The service was quick and easy. Access to the vehicle was very close by. Avis counter was close to baggage pickup. Vehicle wasn’t cleaned very well and, although it was the same class of vehicle, it wasn’t the model we selected. In fact, they don’t even have the one on the website at all. Asked if we could use Aeroplan Miles to collect points and the agent told us the price goes up if we want the points. We found that a little absurd.

Overall a good experience thanks to the staff there!

Check that the fuel level is full and should show past the “F”. On almost all cars. Cost me an extra $10 for fuel

The price was great. The vehicle was better than what we had reserved (asked for a Dodge Caravan, received a Toyota Sienna). However, the car was not clean when we picked it up. Called AVIS locally, they put a note on our file. When we returned the vehicle, we told them about this issue. They made us for it by giving us a gift certificate against a future rental. This was a good gesture and full satisfied us. Would happily use AVIS again.

Quick access at Avis in Victoria. My car pick up was ready to go (pre-booked and confirmed on the app), even though I made a few changes at the last minute at the kiosk. Key is to be near the front of the plane if possible as it's a short walk to the kiosk after exiting the secure airside. Staff were friendly and professional and the car is easy to find in the lot, and is a short walk. Return is very simple as you drop the keys off on the way through to security. Overall highly recommend and the pricing was good.

Justin called me at one point and told me that Enterprise wasn't on site at the Victoia airport. I didn't know that. He suggested that I could change to Avis which was an on-site car rental and it was a bit cheaper. I really appreciate it that kindness. So kudos to Justin. When I return the car I had gotten lost finding the airport. Don't know how I did that. I was quite frantic because my flight was about 20 - 30 minutes away. I know that they shut the gates sometimes so I asked if they could email me the receipt and they were very good about all of it. I was finished that process in a matter of minutes. Great service.

I arrived at the Victoria airport last Thursday around 11am and went to the Avis counter to pick up my car. I was travelling alone with my two young children and the line at the counter was huge with a 15 minute plus wait - there was only one agent working. Our booking was made online and paid in full for an intermediate car for 14 days. I had a couple of Avis vouchers that I wanted to use, but the agent explained that because we had paid in full during the online reservation, there was “nothing” he could do about the vouchers and wouldn’t take them. So our credit card was charged for the full amount for an intermediate car.

Then he proceeded to give me a smaller vehicle than what we paid for. He downgraded us to a tiny Toyota Corolla HATCHBACK. Because my kids were alone in the waiting area I didn’t notice that was the vehicle he put us in. We walked to the vehicle with our luggage and a booster and a full car seat and I could barely get my children’s seats in the back seat. We could only fit one suitcase in the hatchback area and the rest had to go to the front seat that was now pushed all the way up in order to fit my kid’s car seat.

With two small children and one agent working, I didn’t even consider piling our stuff back on the trolley to walk back into the airport and wait back in line. I piled everything in the car and drove away to make the hour and a half drive up island to see my mom who was just diagnosed with cancer.

I understand that sometimes there isn’t the exact vehicle that you pay for available, but I’ve never heard of a company downgrade their customers for a vehicle they might not have in their lot. The lot had plenty of vehicles and I saw other people walking to their much bigger vehicles. Horrible customer service and experience. The least this company can do is give people the type of car they pay for or at least an upgrade!

Great clean cars, even was upgraded from a 300 to a BMW x1, I was a happy camper and friendly staff to boot.

The price was great. The car was ready for me upon arrival even though I was early. Easy return, no hidden charges. The booster seat was a bit on the expensive side. The staff was great and very helpful.

Great service and delivery to the Victoria FOB on arrival and pick up on departure. Nice up grade as per the Chairmen's Club deal.

The website gave me the price of $107 and I prepaid but when I brought the car back they told me I have a balance of $20. They started to argue with me that I have to pay the $20. The manager fixed the issue the next day though. I've booked Avis before several times and never had this issue. The rest of the experience was not bad, the vehicle was new and worked great.

My rental jacket was ready and they just handed me the paperwork and key and I was on my way. 20 seconds tops! Hallelujah!
