After visiting Canada on a trip, we were in a car accident and needed a one-way rental home to Washington. They were the ONLY car rental with this service and were more than willing and able to help accommodate us, SAME DAY! It was an incredible service, and I can not recommend them enough! Clean, nice jeep renegade to get us home safe.

My online quote was at a decent price, but they require this $700 deposit. What an insane idea, stupid place. Cheap on the outside, expensive inside. Beware everybody, stay away from this seedy run place.

I had a plan over the weekend but ruined by them. I reserved a car and paid through the website. But when I went to the front desk they said they didn’t have any. Even though I saw a couple of car keys that they had.

Rented here for 4 days. Mystery car turned out to be a Dodge Charger GT RWD. Front desk staff took a while for pick-up. It would be better if they had 2 employees at once. Drop off was quick and easy, no hidden fees. The vehicle was clean and in good condition.

Had a nasty experience with one of the staff. I am regular there and would continue as the owner is actually good. But the staff who works there is rash and very unfriendly if there is any confrontation happening.
I rented a jetta from there and had some issues with a sensor. I called them to change the car due to that issue. The staff told me to come and if there is any issues during his inspection, he would change the car for me. I went there, he took the car for a spin, then told there is no issues and would not change it. I told him about the engine sound and the air pressure sensor sign in the display. He wouldn’t budge like it’s not his problem since I already paid for the whole month. Since owner has told me the option to go to airport earlier, I ignored the staff and went straight to airport. They confirmed the issue and changed the car to a Malibu for me. That staff is rude and doesn’t know anything about the car. So be careful.

Rented twice for 2 weeks each, Charger, mid size SUVs, Corollas, Malibu, and Prius. Great price, fairly clean cars and helpful employees. Located close by Metropolis as well, haven't encountered any problems myself. Will most likely rent from here again next time I need to rent a car.

I have rented more than 10 times here. Aseem and Hamad Khan are the people I have usually dealt with. They have given me car upgrades even without requesting for it. I was given an SUV upgrade because Aseem thought the weather was too snowy to be driving a sedan (which I had booked). So much care that it Feels like a small family owned business rather than a giant corporate car rental company. Way to go Avis!

Worst customer service. Car was unclean from inside. Gave a Nissan Sentra for full-size car where CarPlay was not working properly. When complained about the service and car, the owner (if he is) said “yeah, it was weekend. Whatever is done is done. Okay, thank you. ” He gave me a receipt and sent me off. Don’t ever go to this place.

Aseem is a very experienced and professional individual. His customer service is out of this world. The cars were very clean, price is super reasonable. I've been to other Avis car rentals before, but this is by far the best location. I highly recommend to find Aseem whenever you are looking to rent a car in Burnaby!

I was well served at the counter by a man named Aseem. All you need was to provide your driver's license, ID, credit card and sign some papers away (to agree to their terms of use etc).

Overall great customer service! It was quick, easy and a fast exchange with my keys in hand. Aseem was cheerful and happy to provide us with a clean white Hyundai Venue at low mileage on the clock at 44000 kms. The car felt new and was very smooth to drive. I would highly recommend and would definitely come back again. I had no problems and soon enough I was handing the car back to Avis:)

This is the place to get you rentals from! Central location, clean vehicles, great service, I was having all sorts of issues, and Jessie was fantastic and went above and beyond to help me out, and of course with a great smile! Thank you so much! 11/10 would recommend!

I have rented at this location for years, every time I visit Vancouver. On the most recent visit, my flight was delayed a day into Vancouver/Burnaby and they were very accommodating to let me pick up the car the next day (luckily there were cars available - even though there were shortages every where else).

Very friendly staff and they were even able to keep me at the original rental rate even though the rates had gone up.

Update: I received a call from the manager at this location.

He was polite and we discussed what happened. He explained their lost and found process. I can see now how this could have been a fluke and the item I left could've been lost during cleaning.

I appreciate the sincere interest in resolving my concern and taking feedback seriously.

Their Payment options are very specific, credit card with pin only, car was well maintained and cleaned. Staff was nice and kind.

I highly recommend this location to everyone as i had a great experience with Avis recently. I couldn't find a rental at last moment and a friend recommend to this location where i met Aseem. Terrible service provided at this location. Didn't honor prior reservation stating some reason and then want to charge at extra rate when I was at the counter. Had one of worst experiences with AVIS over here, The reservation was booked for a special occasion and because of them, I was left out without any car because every other rental service were already sold out by that time. Apparently, this isnt the first time such poor service has been provided over here, one of my colleagues had already warned me about it but I still thought of trying it out. If only I could give a rating lesser than 1 star. Hope they will start treating customers properly!

Great customer service. Rented a Suburban for my wedding and was very happy with the truck. The car was clean and Aseem did everything possible to ensure I got the car I wanted and made the rental process easy and quick. I highly recommend them for any car you may need.

I rented the Durango from Avis Burnaby and it was the first time I rented from Burnaby, bit to be honest it was an amazing experience. I entered the store and there was a guy with cap (mid 20's) on a Saturday afternoon and my reservation was for an intermediate car but since I have been a preferred member, he gave me a free upgrade under the managers approval (Mr. Aseem) for the frequent rental. I would recommend this place for sure

I had a good experience to rent a car with them through aerplan. I added a few days extra but had to return early and got all money refunded manager was friendly when I picked up the car and a little fussy when I returned it was not happy that I didn't know that I should have parked the vehicle in the parking lot and come up with mileage and fuel photo.so keep that in mind.

The customer service personnel who checked us in and the other who checked us out were extremely professional. I would recommend this location for all needs (couple and large family). Because I have rented small sedans to seven seaters in this location. All of them in great condition. Overall they provide excellent customer service

One star is being generous. The experience Ive had with this company has been difficult from the start. I should have taken the signs to steer clear from the beginning. Started off calling about a rental since I was visiting from out of town and the airport had no rentals. Since I was stuck I went with the company nearest to where I was staying. Called and was told they had no vehicles but would be getting more and to call back. Call back and still no cars. This went on for 2 days of my trip. Finally go to the rental company only to find out they actually had vehicles and were lying about not having any. After finally getting a vehicle you're given the keys told to go to a car garage and basically hit the alarm to find the car. Car was given at 2/8 of a tank, went back and reported this and they noted it. What a surprise to find when I return the car I was charged $150 for not returning it on a full tank. Been waiting 2 weeks for a refund that I was told would take 3-5 days. Every time I call I am given the run around, my manager will call you back seems to be their favourite line. The manager calls and we get into a shouting match because he is on the road and doesn't have time to deal with refunding me my money. Poor customer service. Poor attitudes. Poor management. AVOID, especially if you want to avoid being stolen from.

The service has been helpful and friendly from the very first visit and has stayed at that level each time after.

Not everything they tell you is true. They lied to me about the refund if I return the vehicle sooner - i got no refund. Instead of an economical car they gave me a monster, then again lying it was a V4. I would avoid this place.

Have rented multiple vehicles from this location (Burnaby metrotown) over the last year an the service has been positive. Aseem is very friendly an helpful on getting the vehicle you need or want. The vehicles were always clean an full of gas We tend to rent on the higher end vehicles ranging from luxury suv to sporty sedans an they have been all brand new an issue free. I highly recommend all my friends here even if its out of the way because Aseem an staff are excellent. The price is better then any other in the city for the vehicle you are getting. 5stars.

This place is super unprofessional. I’d honestly recommend you go anywhere but here. It was super problematic to get our rental. To make matters worse they give you the rental with gas less than half.

A little honest review here. I had a little confusion with the payment on my end with credit card payment, I contacted head office and contacted my bank and couldn't get it figured out. The service was already good at the Burnaby location when I had dealt with them, pricing is standard for car rental company, market price.

After dealing with Head office about my concerns, I could not get a non generic response from them so I took it to the manager here, Aseem, and he quickly investigated and promptly gave me an explanation and answers on the hour of me asking him, after I had dealt with customer service for a month.

Might give 3 star for the car (not cleaned properly) but absolutely such negativity from staff and customer service. Honest review! BOTH AGENT AND MANAGER (worst) were so rude. Car was 2hrs late which I booked 3days before the pick up day (ample of time to schedule everything) and they don’t even apologize at all. They even blame you if you get frustrated with that bad service? ! Who expects a sweet approach if you were told that your car was 2hrs late and you have to adjust all your committed plans and the manager was screaming at you over the phone. UNACCEPTABLE!

Manager on this location was so rude. Does not know his business at all. Avis should disassociate themselves from such individual. I've been renting from Avis for years but first time on this location.

They don't know how to treat customers. I don’t recommend this location for the customer who wants respectful behaviour from the seller.

Amazing customer service, incredible manager and staff, best price. I visit this location frequently for over a year even tho I live in Surrey but Avis Surrey was so rude and other companies are so so expensive. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for great staff and best price.

Real bad sneaky customer service. Be aware of renting car from here. Record everything once you enter into the store. Because whatever they say is all lies and sneaky things.

If they dont try to figure things out, just call Avis or Budget.

I made a reservation a day before went there and waited an hour for the car to arrive. Eventually there was no car!

Nice overall experience. It was the newest car model with no more than 10k km and the price was quite fair. The guys at the counter were not the friendliest but at least they didn't try to psychologically break me down just to push some overpriced insurance. I'd definitely rent a car with them again.

I used to rent a car from this location when i lived in Metrotown. Now i live in Surrey and i am still renting a car from here. That’s how satisfying this place is. Not once did i have any inconvenience nor problem. Staffs are friendly and price is always the best compared to other places. Strongly recommend!

The reason why I gave 1 star is because of the car.warning: if you don’t fill up the car to the absolute maximum, they’ll pick on you.

The service is TERRIBLE! The car is rented under my husband’s name. When we first got the car, the gas was NOT full, and we were like, it’s fine, it’s acceptable. Before we returned the car, my husband estimated that only around $5 gas was needed so that’s what he did. We returned the car, and the owner called me after 10 minutes while we were having lunch, telling us it still needed 5L of gas, it was 35 degrees outside, he ran back to the office, filled up again, turned out only 1.5L is needed.

In the end we were happy we didn’t let he owner fuel up for us because he could just charge us whatever amount. Miserable service, won’t come again.

I had a last minute need for a rental Truck due to a mistake by another rental company. Being so rushed and stressed from figuring out what to do, I needed to call different agencies in the lower mainland to check for stock.

From the initial call to Aseem Khan (Agency Operator), he was extremely kind and helpful. He insured me he had a brand new Dodge Ram available but suggested that I go to his location asap.

Upon arrival he made sure to go through everything with me and even helped me with pricing (when he didn't have to). I was so glad Aseem was able to help me and my experience at his location was extremely pain free.

Highly recommended location.

Came across these comments and not surprised. Rented from these losers a few years ago and have never been back. Extremely rude customer service, even when you try to be friendly.

Our company rents vehicles every winter season and though I typically don't like dealing with rental companies, Avis in Burnaby has blown me away with their customer service. The management at this location is honest, hard working and truly cares about the customer. I know that when I rent from this branch, I have nothing to worry about. I highly recommend anyone to visit this Avis if you really want to be taken care of. Great job Avis Burnaby! Keep it up, we'll see you again soon!

The renting policy keeps changing depending who is working at the moment. Not a great customer service I would say, because not only it confuses us, they also didnt give any other alternatives leaving us stressed out.

As for the car, they had the newest car everytime we rent so that's a plus.

Paid extra for a midsize car and was given a golf. Not the impressed with this Avis location. Would highly recommend the Avis on Broadway.

Great communicating service and price, but negative one star is inside the rental van was so dirty especially food in the side pockets of the doors. I had to clean up before going to the trips.

Very quick and courteous and they had exactly what I was looking for reservations took about 15 minutes!
