For what I pay, I am always impressed with the cleanliness, food quality and level of service here. The service is much better than nearby burger joints if you catch my drift. Food is prepared quickly and accurately every time.

The drive through wait times are absolutely insane. 8 mins per order and 6 car wait… do that math.

Eaten here a few times now. Every time, I’m impressed with how well-oiled this machine is. Plenty of hard working staff, long lineup didn’t take too long. My order was punched in with an extra order of fries by accident but they refunded me and let me keep the fries anyway. A&W offers the best fast food experience out there, hands down.

This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! A&W’s service staff are great specially Glaiza as she’s friendly and approachable. Delicious dishes, and beautiful presentation. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

A&W efforts to reduce unknowns in their food and the taste make this a must visit place to eat. Management was easy to work with when I had a query out of the norm. Highly recommended.

The people who work at this restaurant are really kind and really focussed on excellent customer service. The food came quickly and was really fresh and hot. The restaurant and bathrooms were very very clean.

Breakfast has really gone down in quality. They're reheating stiff premade pancakes (like the frozen Eggo ones) and they've cut back the sausage portion. Not worth the money anymore, and poor quality at any price. For a company that talks a big game about quality in its ads, this is a real step backwards.

Just ok. The burger sure don't look like the juicy ones they show on TV. The prices are getting more and more expensive.

I think that was the worse A&W my partner and I have been to.yet lol They are definitely struggling with staff or something, we could kinda tell by looking at how busy the lady at the window was!

So impressed by this Fast Food experience! The service was friendly, and helpful and the food was good! What I was extra impressed with was the sinks you could actually wash your hands at before chowing down. You don't have to get into the bathroom just to wash your hands. It was a busy night (halloween) so it was expectedly busy but I will definitely come here again.

When you ask a Beyond meet with cheese and also ask to put only ketchup and mustard in it and they literally take everything out but the ketchup and mustard.
(No lettuce, no tomato) in my world. If I didn't ask to remove lettuce or tomato which comes included. You don't remove it by assumptions. 7.99$ for a barely naked burger. Had to drive there and fight a Karen in your drive-through. Greatest A&W experience.

Ordered 2 teen burgers without cheese or pickles and got one ok and the other with everything I didn't want.

Went through the drive through and got a teen burger and fries. The fries were ice cold like they were cooked yesterday. The burger was good.

Absolutely incredible place, specifically THIS location. SO gourmet. Literally get your food SO fast, fill up your fountain drink in your cup, and take a seat to enjoy your meal in such a peaceful environment with your besties. Food cooked to PERFECTION like how is this fast food? Staff deserve a raise they are out of this world. There’s no way this place exists. THIS LOCATION. The shelbourne PLAZA. Cedar hill cross & shelbourne, Victoria. LITERALLY omw back rn… will update later.

Better than average fare as every time I’ve ordered here, everything was cooked to order… including fries and rings… they are hot and crispy because they haven’t been sitting under the warmers. There always seems like they’re fully staffed too… makes for quicker waiting times.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my usual burger that I get here at the Shelbourne location one a week. I look forward to it actually, however it was so UNBELIEVABLY salty I could not even finish it. Sadly I had to discard it in the rubbish bin.

Lillian was very sweet and the kitchen was fast and kind. I appreciate how fast everyone was and the food was exceptionally good.

I ordered 2 teen burger meals with fries and a side of onion rings. Over $30. The burgers were over cooked and like leather. The fries were cold and limp. The onion rings were mushy and not edible. The only thing that did not disappoint was the diet root beer.

What a waste of money.never again will I buy anything from A and W.

Enjoyed our burgers, onion rings, and root beer of course. The restaurant appears relatively newly renovated. It was clean and airy. Maybe the nicest A&W in Victoria.

Good location. Usually fast service. A fast-food option that often tastes better than regular fast-food.

Me and some friends came to this location on Saturday December 11th 2021 (around 5pm) to get a quick meal before our final exam happening later. All was okay until I took a bite out of a chicken strip that was.very raw on the inside to say the least. Just a heads up to everyone to double check your chicken just in case:) I really hope I don't get salmonella.

I often come to a&w for the vegetation options. My go to meal is a cheese and egger with an added beyond patty, which I have been getting routinely for a year. Today I went through the drive through and placed my order, but I recieved something that looked very different than normal and that resembled sausage (and my sister who is not vegetarian tried it and said it tasted like meat, not a beyond patty). It was also in a bag that said animal protein rather than the purple vegetarian bag. I went back in to the store to show the staff and they immediately agreed that it was sausage, until the cook insisted that it was not, then they switched and started saying it was a beyond patty. I left and took a bite of this "beyond meat" but it tasted very different to me and I felt uncomfortable eating it. My sister went back in the store and asked them to make a new one and double check that it was vegetarian and she would just pay for the new one. Instead of making a new one with a beyond patty, they continued insisting that it was not meat. I have been a vegetarian for 8 years and I have had the a&w beyond patty many many times, and I guarantee that what I received was meat. I ended up not eating my meal and walked away without a new breakfast. I'm very disappointed with this experience and it has made me weary of returning

The service was excellent. The older lady is a very nice cashier.also the lady who grabs the food and pases it to you.
They're very kind and friendly.
I enjoy eating there the food is excellent.

Had to argue with the guy at the pickup window in the drive-thru when I asked him why my meal was so much more compared to my friend's. He was rude, unhelpful and honestly, a jerk. Not coming back if you can't explain nicely or use a pleasant tone when a customer askes a polite question.

Order was hot, fresh and good to go. Quick service too. 1000x better than the McDonald's across the street on all levels.

Love the Teen Burgers!

Went in to pick up order, was not ready.they said WiFi not working well and to be patient. People came and went and I showed them on my phone but they wouldn't make order. Finally order arrived then they forgot the add on's and onion rings. 20 min. Don't use the app in Victoria until they upgrade their internet. What a joke

They're in the neighborhood so I usually go quite often but I just can't anymore. Almost every time they forget SOMETHING. Usually sides like gravy or pies. The cost of food I pay for that doesn't get put in the bag is adding up too high. The only way to make sure is to open the bag at the window and double check which just assures that everything is cold by the time you get home. So frustrating.

Usually good. Today, not as good. Milkshake was not Smooth. Ice crystals in it and watery. Burger was OK. Fries plain, no salt and no salt in the bag. A&W is the only fast food joint I drive through sometimes.
Consistency should be better at this location. Cheers

I ordered teen burger, onion rings and a root beer. Burger luke warm and root beer flat and not very cold.

This is by far my favorite fast food burger joint. The price is right, it's quick and it tastes good!

Excellent service. The lady at the counter was friendly, polite and brought my food at the table, she offered my friend and I refills. I like the new looks and the menu's focus on fresh ingredients, no preservatives and antibiotics. Way to go A&W!

Cleaning restaurant gravy's good service was fantastic then A&W is the best place to have clean food

Slow and rude service, staff seemed completely stunned. And movee food from bsg to bag during covid protocol. Very disappointing

They are very organized. The food is good and the place is clean. Quite enjoyable dining there.

The root beer slush was not even frosted very good. Melted too fast. I won't order that again. I actually regret paying for 2 of them.

Food is good dont like the updated building. Really enjoyed the 80s feel it had before something you cant bring back.whish places like this would just update kitchens and leave some class behind.

It's just an unpleasant experience for drive through, nothing comment on their food, just the old lady who served me the food, seems like she does not want me to pay with my foreign credit card. Because I don’t have a chip one the card, so I need to swipe the card to pay my food. Due to COVID she need to take off the plastic on the machine. She look at me impatiently, she took off the plastic, Then she said if you have an Canadian credit you will have a chip on the card. I just don’t understand, what’s wrong with my foreign card. She only need to take off the plastic on the machine, if I don’t have a local credit card, Would I be treat like that every time at AW? Just feel so bad about the old lady’s attitude, i do not know her name, cuz she wasn’t has her name tag on.

Usually 5/5 was about a 10-15 min wait from getting in line to getting food but the sausage egger combo was kill.

They are doing a great job during COVID-19! I love their protection procedures. Perfect food, of course! Thanks.

Everything worked perfectly except having to call in to notify the restaurant when we arrived. Need an in app notification

Compared to most A&W places in Victoria. This place can be somewhat busier, but it looks clearer and modern. There is also a drive thru.

New renovated location. Storefront is a little confusing when it's busy though, drive thru was much simpler and faster.

A great place if you want to deal with staff who barely speak English and don't know how to run a till.

Good food, mediocre service at the counter. Staff might need more training. But I like the recent renovation at this location

Best fast burger you can get. Love the root beer float and the fact that their food comes from animals without hormones or antibiotics. Their lettuce and tomato always nice.locally sourced.

Service was not very helpful! I don't often go to a fast food restaurant, so I had no idea how their menu works and it's not clear from the ever-changing over-crowded display. I think I got ripped off, I paid over $17 for two burger and two drinks. Nobody was helpful in explaining how to properly order something. The food was not warm and tasteless. You won't see me again!

A redesign of their interior includes a hand washing station.right in the seating area. Perfect for families and practical for hygeine. I enjoy the promotional videos of where their food is sourced. Educational for all.

They didn't give me chipotle with the onion rings and the guy on the intercom yelled at me when I ordered an apple fritter and they didn't have any.

Very busy in drive-thru, so I walked in. Also quite busy! When I got my combos, I said thank you and left, put them in the car, drove away, only to realize I had not been given the drinks! Had to drive back and found them waiting on a different part of the counter. So by the time I got them home, not as hot as I would have liked, but otherwise fine.
