Friendly staff. Average food. Don’t don’t come if you’re in a hurry. Drive-thru took 25mins this evening and that is not unusual in my experience.

Manager don't know how to talk to customers, employees are good, food is also not too bad.
But the managers interaction towards customers are below Canadian standards.

This place has gone downhill fast. What was once good food and service is now slow and terrible. Quality is awful. Service is poor. They are unable to communicate clearly, food is slow stale and old. Hopefully corporate takes the store away and runs this store to the standard it should be.

Really bad location.
Bad food. Bad service. Not clean. Ketchup dispencer empty. Milk shake was the furthest thing from a milk shake possible.
Couldn't understand the girl taking my order.

Appalled at the low level of service, waited 10 minutes. The lady didnt apologize then proceded to put on a headset and take the next order. Worst experience at any a&w ever.

I have been to A&W comox and i can say i got the best service from them than i ever get from any other locations. Staff working there was very kind and helpful:)

So I've been here 3 times and if you're in a hurry definitely go somewhere else. There is nothing fast about the food. On average its been 10-15 min to get food. I asked if there would be a wait on the food i ordered at the speaker, they said no. I pull up to the window and they said it would be a 5 min wait. Ok, no problem. 10 min pass and i go in to see whats up. The food had been sitting and is cold. The person did not care at all. 17 min in total wait for cold food. Absolutely the worst service I've encountered in my travels. Never again!

Burger was very dry, very little condiments on it and tiny piece of lettuce. Onion rings were terrible, limp. I like A and W, but this worse meal I have had at an A and W

Had a terrible dine in experience yesterday. Me and a friend ordered the yam fries, witch are $5.20 now!
When the waitress brought our fries, my friends were basically empty with a couple fries in the basket. Mine had mostly burned ones that I couldn't eat.
We asked her to remake them and she only brought one basket of fries. Again, they didn't look like there was much in them and alot of small burnt ones. I asked her that I also asked for mine to be remade. She said that's all she could do and rolled her eyes at me.
I've had bad experiences at this a and w in the past, but this was the last time I'll ever support this location. I've never had such awful customer service. It also sounded like they were having problems with the drive through so I highly recommend not going here to eat. Seems like it's run by a bunch of teens that don't really know what they're doing.

Comox location always tastes less fresh and than the others in Courtenay. The others get 5 stars.
Update: Tried it again, no seasoning on the onion rings at all.

Have had problems with missing items in the past, so always check before leaving, but last time I ordered onion rings they were pale and undercooked. Because it’s inconsistent, (too many times to make me feel confident I’ll have a good experience), I’m not going back to this restaurant.

The spicy chicken burger was cold inside, there was nothing else in it. The yam fries were tough. The teen burger had nothing but meat. Pretty awful.

Never open on time, slow service, run out of things and no signs to let anyone know till you get to the window.

Got my order wrong then wanted to charge me for their mistake, no apology or anything, never coming back.
