A&W Canada

This is my favourite of all the chain burger places. The buddy burger is great value as well as flavour and two of them are a meal. Teen burger and spicy mama are also excellent and they do a great beyond burger. Onion rings are superior to fries, though fries are obviously available. The seasoning on a&w fries make them superior to most of fast food fries as well if you do prefer fries.

Root beer being the best pop flavour also makes them stand out.

My only knock is their breakfast which sucks. Hamburger buns for the sandwiches, thumbs down. The sit down is decent in terms of price if you get it but not as good as a diner.

All Canadian Special with pancakes instead of toast at no extra charge, pre chilled mug for the tap water. Compared to Lillooet the next morning which had paper plates and wood utensils for dine in and cardboard cup for the water, no pancakes, while being a dollar or two more for the meal, this A&W in Powell River was excellent

I asked for a burger without cheeze due to allergies. The burger I received was obviously pre made with cheeze and they just remove the cheeze.
Theres was a significant amount of melted cheeze on there. Ended up tossing it out.

Fast to get my order taken, fast to receive my order. Four burgers and a pie. Hot and fresh food as well.

Breakfast was done well and having it after a long time was indeed great. The lady at the counter accommodated all our requests and made out day!

Visiting here and just arrived today! The NICEST guy at the drive thru window helped us just now. 5: 30pm Monday August 21st. Please give him a raise, he deserves it. Great customer service skills.

Powell River A&W just started making milkshakes again The one I had today was the worst shake I have ever had. It was very thin and the flavour of chocolate just wasn’t there.

Delicious food, the sauce on the burgers are amazing, and the poutine had effort put in, instead of just throwing it together and having pieces of cold cheese and fries without gravy. They are super quick, I ordered and went to wash my hands, and as soon as I sat down it was ready. You should try their frozen root beer which even has less calories than the normal!

We were visiting Powell river for the first time. I work at A&W Victoria so I am always excited to visit A&Ws. I was very impressed! Obviously the food was great, all employees were very friendly and oh my god the entrance was really cute!

Went through the drive threw this evening, after placing my order the cost on the screen said $17.25. Got to the window and the lady/girl said it was $22.40. I asked why the difference in price and she said they had a price increase. I asked why the prices are reflected on the screen outside and she completely ignored me. Asked a few times and still no answer. Feel like I over paid for my meal.

Fast, friendly, with good food. Typical a&w experience. Notably the only fast food restaurant in the neighborhood where you can be reasonably sure you'll be hanging out sans crackhead.

Will never, ever, ever, go here again. I work in a group home and had someone with me who is a person with a disability. After being exceptionally rude, the woman working the drive thru (older, glasses) looked at him and asked if he was a "re***d". Never, ever, will I support this business again after this absolutely disgusting encounter.

Clean and great service. Find their All Canadian breakfast hits the spot - and doesn't cost near as much as other family restaurants.

Order wasn't done right, returned and made over. An extra wait of about 5 minutes. Also, no apologies were extended, but they were very polite.
