B C Hydro Seton Lake Campsite

This is a great spot for an overnighter and the lake is about a 10 minute walk. It's free to stay.

Beautiful FREE campground! Nice area close to lake where you can swim. The camp is surrounded by mountains. It has water and toilets. The closest store to buy food is gas station located 3km from camp site.

I've camped here twice this summer and never had a problem getting a spot. It's been a lovely stay each time

Pretty hard to beat free camping, especially in such a stunning location. Pit toilets and small campsites. Large overflow area for big rigs. Some great giving and a couple of short walks.

Works perfectly for a quick stop or for a week. Hiking and Fishing are awesome if that's your jam.

Good place for a visit. Lots to do nearby. Web site very very misleading. The lake is about a 15 minutes walk from the closest campsite. Said dirt bike riding? Closest riding 10 minutes down the highway?

This campsite is ok if you just staying over a night to rest.not much to do and not really anything to see.yet if u go over to the lake its quite nice.

Very good campsite. Free camping and a well maintained site. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

It was closed when I was there for a hike in mid-march, but it appears to be a large, well cared for campsite.

The nearby seton canal is very cool. Lots of hiking and walking options from easy to difficult right there.

Unfortunately this campsite is closed due to Covid at the moment. HOWEVER, before I knew that I was planning on staying there, so I did drive there and still had a look around. All of the campsites are well maintained and it's just a really nice quiet spot. There is a little river at the bottom of the spot and huge mountains on either side to create the valley your in. I can't wait until they do open so I can stay here.

Very well kept sites. Privacy is okay and the campsites aren't too exposed to the elements. Clean washroom facilities too. Close enough to Lillooet to grab a bite to eat at any time of the day.

Perfect summer camping opportunity, mainly geared towards small vehicles/small trailers/tenting, but has a few sites for larger trailers. Trust the signs and DO NOT take your big trailers down the small vehicle roads

Beautiful grounds with lots of hiking trails right out of the grounds. To bad it's closed. I do hope COVID doesn't keep it closed all year!

Drove all the way from Vancouver just to find out its closed for the summer.

Best camp ground in B. C.with a 15 min walk to the lake for swimming. Camp ground well cared for and clean. Discovered it 8 years ago and return every chance I get several times per year.

I really don't want to rate this place to high because it is so awesome that I want it to stay a secret. Clean and calm and very relaxing. One of our new favourite spots in BC.

Beautiful free campground. The staff running/checking on it are super nice. They sell firewood aswell. Toilettes are clean. You can go for a nice walk along the creek or just go to for a swim in Seton Lake (walking distance). Lillooet is close by and there is a petrol station with really good sandwiches:)

Pretty Great until a Brand New Hemi Truck drive right into us while Stopped against traffic on a one way bridge. Accidents happen, but that is why we have Insurance.

Nice free camping location, we stayed in a small tenting site in a van. The campers around us were polite, courteous and respectful of the campground's rules.

Toller Platz, umsonst besser als so manche teuren Campgrounds. Schwimmen und Angeln ist ebenfalls am See möglich.

This is a very nice campground! We enjoyed our 2-night stay in a tent at the BC Hydro Campground. While there is no electricity, there is water available at the campground. We had a clear night and the stars were AMAZING! It's hard to believe that there is no charge for staying there. The whole place is quiet and clean.

A wonderful well kept free campsite. Bathrooms and garbage. No showers lots of spaces to drop in. Get there early. A lot of the campsites have fire pits and picnic tables

Great place nice and clean and who ever was taken care of the place was friendly and informative.

I love this free campground! Don't miss the lovely trail which starts near the closest one lane bridge.

We stayed labour weekend and it was empty but for a tent and one car. Parked a 30'RV in the main area and only one there. They have a large caged area for fire wood so it was rude not to to have a camp fire despite the light drizzle. Woke up to deer grazing out side the door. The creek was lovely at dawn. Would recommend out of season but suspect busy during the summer. Oh and it's free. Just watch out for Cougars! !

So nice and free. There are some smaller spots under trees and one big place for heaps of big rigs.
