Minced pork, grilled pork and Vegan chicken banh mi was amazing! Great service with a family run vibe. The bread was perfectly toasted and everything was so fresh. Thank you for a great experience, we'll be back

Favorite bamh mis downtown! Authentic, great value and delicious. Casual spot but owners provide great service (wiping down tables even when busy etc). Check it out!

The food is tasty, the vegan option is appreciated, but it doesn’t fill at all and for 10 bucks it’s not a good deal. Im still hungry while typing this.

Got the lemongrass chicken, I certainly enjoyed it, but I was still hungry afterwards and could have easily eaten two. Felt like there weren't enough ingredients.

When it comes to downtown lunch I'm really just looking for something quick that will make me feel the most full for the least amount of money and this doesn't seem to be it.

Delicious viet subs! I got the Cold Cut Dat Biet sandwich. The bread had a nice crispy outer and soft chewy interior. The pickled garnish had really nice flavors and tied the sandwich together. The portion was big and the price was good. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a stop for a quick bite. There are a few tables inside and the place was clean.

I usually go to the other 3 Vietnamese places in the area so thought I’d try this one. Had the pork salad bowl. First off I couldn’t believe they had no sauces on table. Isn’t this a given at these restaurants? The veggies tasted like they were pickled (not good) & portion was almost half the size of any other pork salad bowl I’ve had…… & even though I was eating in; it came in a to go box with a plastic fork. The man was nice which is why I gave an extra star or two.

Only sandwiches. No peanut sauce for salad rolls. A few other options would be nice. Food was tasty.

I’m Vietnamese and this is the only place in Victoria that I go when I crave my Vietnamese bánh mì.

My favourite is the cold cut special.

And try their dessert called Chè, those are my favourite dessert.

Just tried 2 (of the 4 available) vegan bahn mi options at Bahn Mi Ba Le downtown and would 10/10 recommend. We’ve been searching for our go-to place and have experienced a couple flops. Not Ba Le - it was yummmmmmm so good. We had the tofu (#3) and vegan chicken (#11).

Delicious banh mi, they also make tasty smoothies. The husband and wife who run this restaurant are also very kind and hard working. I would recommend pretty much anything off the menu.

I can't say enough good things about Ba Le! The staff are lovely and friendly. Food is delicious, fast and reasonably priced. Just thinking about those sandwiches now is making me hungry:)

My girlfriend has told me how much she loved Bahn Mi since travelling SE Asia and how much I would love it. She was craving it so we looked around and picked this place because of how authentic it looked, the excellent reviews, and the many vegan/vegetarian options (my gf is vegetarian). Overall we were quite impressed! I got the crispy pork and she got the vegan “chicken”… both were delicious! Bun was toasted just right with a perfect balance of crisp, fresh toppings. We also got some fresh salad rolls and the peanut sauce was spot on! Only paid $8 for each which is a very reasonable price for how filling and tasty they were. The lady working there was very pleasant and food was made quickly. Definitely will be back!

Super delicious everytime! Wish they deliver, I would order all the time! Great vegan bánh mì, especially bò bít tết chay. Hope they continue to have more vegan choices in the future. Also very nice customer service! Go here instead of Subway, u wouldn't be dissappoint!

Solid solid solid. Authentic. $8-10 for an excellent banhmi. Now I’m curious about their iced coffee.

These Vietnamese subs are absolutely delicious! My go-to is spicy lemongrass chicken with extra pickled veggies. Everything is so fresh and tasty, and the bread is divine. Prices are excellent, too. I HIGHLY recommend!

This is a sandwich your mouth is waiting for. Carnivores have converted to the vegan spicy “chicken”. I saw it.

I asked the owner to make me 2 sandwiches, his choice, and we ended getting the Lemongrass Chicken and Grilled Pork. Both were amazing as well as the owner (and his wife?) being lovely folks. My wife has been to Vietnam and said that they were top tier Banh Mi, highly recommended!

Absolutely love this place. Really good bánh mì made with fresh vegetables, delicious baguette, and tasty meat. My favourite is the #6 with no sauce. They have the best Vietnamese spring rolls in Victoria. The owners are very friendly as well! Highly recommend it.

The best! These sandwiches are SO delicious! If you haven't had a Vietnamese sub, try one today! If you have, you haven't had one this good. I'm from Toronto, there are tons of shops that sell similar Vietnamese subs there, I'd eat them a couple days a week - but NONE come even CLOSE to Ba Le. They are doing it right, it's the best thing you'll eat in a long time.

Like having your favorite Vietnamese dish in a crusty fresh baguette. I just had #2 and I'm coming back for #4!

The first time I went here I remember being unimpressed and confused about the positive reviews. I believe I had tried the grilled pork.

However, due to Covid and dining restraints I have been back twice and tied the cold cut and viet bacon sub. I’m very happy with these subs and baguettes they are served on, soft and crispy. Definitely worth checking out this little shop.

Classic Cold cut reminds me of the Ban Mi I get in Vietnam at the street stalls. Takes me back to the homeland.

Also only place in town to get an authentic Che Ba Mau "Three Colour" (dessert/drink with sweet beans and jelly) like bubble tea but much better.

Owners are great. Food is made with care.

Been going to the original location on Fraser & Kingsway since I was a wee one. So happy to see it branched over to Victoria! Awesome, fresh pate and bread, friendly owners. Will always be my go to for authentic Vietnamese banh mi. Check it out

Finally there is a great and affordable banh mi place in Victoria. The breads are nice and crunchy, combining with the butter, meat and fresh vegetables making these sandwich sandwiches so tasty. Make it a combo with salad rolls are highly recommended.

So glad that a good banh mi place has finally opened up in Victoria. The sandwiches here were great and the thai iced tea and salad rolls were pretty good too. Very fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced.

Good flavours, excellent bread and decent prices. I've had three of their sandwiches and all we're tasty. Gets busy at lunch time but orders come up fast and the line disapears quickly.
