Had a great time here our coach Saaya made everyone enjoy the night! No matter how bad you are she helps you out and keeps giving you advice to eventually hit which we all did multiple times thanks to her support! Thanks again Saaya!
Our coach Saaya made everyone feel welcome with whatever axe throwing level you are at! She created a fun environment had an excellent playlist! Would come here again! I suggest bad axe to fulfill your axe throwing needs
10/10 experience! Booking was very easy, and customer service emailed back immediately to any questions I had, even on the weekend. It was my first time axe throwing, and our Coach Saaya was great in making sure we all had a good time. She was super supportive and reassured us that there was nothing to be scared of as long as we follow the safety guidelines. Will definitely come back again!
Great first experience for bday party! Coach Saaya was very sociable, kind, and honorable to the company's policies. She was a great coach that treated everyone with an equal amount of respect.
Fantastic experience with my two boys! From the moment we walked through the door we were met with helpful, knowledgeable, encouraging staff that made our time at Bad Axe both enjoyable and memorable. Thank you to the staff. We’ll be back.
My husband and I took our teenage nephew for the first time yesterday afternoon and it was a great experience. We were shown how to throw the axes and he kept checking back in to see how we are doing and offering tips. The axe throwing part was fun and we will definitely be going back. You can bring your own food and they had a vending machine onsite for drinks if not.
I had such a great experience. Our coach was Mo who was extremely pleasant and full of knowledge. Thank you for making our time here amazing. I would highly recommend this place.
I brought my group of friends out for axe throwing, Our instructor was so fun and knowledgeable. We had the best time and it was a great place I would definitely recommend going and checking it out! Super cool!
Attended a Christmas Party at Bad Axe. Had an blast! AJ was an amazing host. He was very attentive to the group, constantly walking around helping and giving pointers. I look forward to going back.
What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. First time for my husband and myself. AJ greeted us and gave us fabulous instructions and made us immediately feel at home. I would totally recommend this establishment.
The staff here really make this a great spot. Its a no frills ax throwing spot with focus on a fun and safe experience.
Great for beginners! The staff will teach you how to throw and give tips to correct your form. They provide fun games and challenges to mix it up for your group.
The walk in times are a little limited but if you are a group of 4 or more you need not worry you can book in advance!
Had a great time. We booked a timeslot. There were 4 of us. We learned how to throw first. Then we played some games which were really fun. Time went by so fast. We had Ana amazing time. Can't wait to do it again.
Fun to visit in groups of 6 or 8. Tons of time to practice your aim. After practice you break into teams for a fun few games that I won't spoil for you here. And there's a cool suprise at the end for the daring individuals.
Was an awesome experience; party of 7, playing some team comps. The guy working there explaining the do's and don't was professional and made our experience the better.
Lots of fun! Walked in on a whim with a friend and was able to get in on a busy Friday night. Friendly staff, thorough orientation on safety. He also took the time to gives tips along the way if he noticed we weren’t quite nailing the board. 10/10
Had a great experience and a ton of fun. The coach gave us lots of great tips to be successful. It is all in the legs so don’t worry if you don’t have strong upper arms.
Experience was just okay based on price. I was frustrated that we paid for the “coaching” but the only woman working was so busy with 16 patrons, no one really received the coaching they paid for. It would have been more fun and less frustrating if the staff actual coached, critiqued and assisted people on how to improve. I’m sure our experience would have been better had they been properly staffed. It was still fun but it could have been so much more. The group beside us were drinking and took their masks off with no enforcement?
We went for our friends birthday…we brought some wine and snacks. The host was professional and was a patient teacher for us newbies. We had a blast and will go back again! Great venue.
Overall fun experience throwing axes. We played games that were fun and learned some trick throws. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The facility was empty except for my group, we should have done a walk in, much cheaper. This is a pricey activity which we’ll probably never do again.
Excellent time with our friends and A. J.our host was extremely friendly, helpful and personable. He helped us and made sure we all had fun. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a great night out and wanting to try something different
Never had the opportunity to go. Planned a date night but was only able to make a reservation with 4 people. Called ahead of time and was told that walk in started at 6. Arrived a little before 6 and there was nothing available for walk in until 8 pm. Drove from Chilliwack and was pretty disappointed to say the least. I understand that it was not their fault but maybe let groups of 2 also be able to make reservations.
Had a great time throwing axes on Friday! Went as part of a friend's birthday with none of us having done it before (outside of camping, not really the same thing). AJ was super helpful and friendly. He made sure that we were safe and gave expert advice. Highly recommend for a fun and cheap night out.
The staff was really knowledgeable and fun! Our group had so much fun with the games! Definitely going back and would recommend it to everyone, tons of fun.
A novel experience with experienced, professional, and courteous trainers that prioritize safety and maximize entertainment value. The ranges are a bit small, but it only adds to the local appeal and ensures the staff can keep everyone safe.
Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was so much fun! The coach showed us safety tips and taught us how to throw and helped with correcting stances and holds. We had a friendly game of 51 and then she taught us 5-6 trick shots. Super fun and I will definitely be back!
Staff were nice, space is fun and they can host a fair number of people. It would be nice to have more objects to throw like knives and different sized axes. Also would have been nice to have more direction in terms of throwing styles. We got shown 1 trick shot but it would have been cool to see more. Fun experience for sure
Go to the Urban Axe in Coquitlam instead. Can't even check if there are spots available on any day. They don't allow reservation for less than 4 people so it says to check time slots for walk-ins but it doesn't show anything, even checked on a computer but still the same. 2 hours later, still the same.
Would not recommend this place to anyone. They cancelled our reservation an hour prior to us arriving. We had already selected an open time slot on their website on the day we were going payed for it. Said they require “48 hours. ” What exactly do you require 2 days in preparation for throwing axes? Every other place I’ve been to has booked us on the same day with no problem as long as a time slot is open. Extremely unprofessional and a waste of time.
What a great experience. We were put at ease immediately by the host's friendliness. After explaining the safety rules, we were taught different throws and had the opportunity to practice them several times before we played a friendly game of 51! We had a blast and it was a great introduction to the fine art of axe throwing!
The website said walk-in for $26 or reserve for 44.we called ahead of time to confirm they were still accepting walk-ins, we drove an hour and a 1/2 and it was closed.apparently you have to schedule your walk in. To me that defeats the purpose of a walk-in basis What a disappointment. Never going back.
What a great time we had axe throwing at Bad Axe in Surrey! None of us had ever done axe throwing before and really appreciated the time the staff took to make us feel comfortable before we even entered the lanes. He kept an eye on us and was ready to offer help and suggestions when we had any difficulty. Loved the fact that we could bring in our own snacks and beverages. Felt completely safe with all their Covid-19 protocols. Will be back again in the near future to do this again!
Awesome experience! Good orientation on how to throw, and they keep the place clean, and just make it an awesome experience. I’d recommend this sport, and the spot. Thank you!
Call to make a reservation. We were lucky they were open for a reservation and we were able to walk in.
I was there with my girlfriend last night at 9-10pm as walk-ins. The axe throwing itself is great, however people should be wearing masks. The trainer was wearing one but made no effort to ask people to wear one and there were two groups of ten who weren't wearing masks. They had both booked so it was a crowded room and the door was kept closed so the air wasn't circulating. There was no sanitizing of the axe handles while we were there either. I had been to Bad Axe Throwing several times but we felt unsafe with the lack of safety protocols enforced at the Surrey location. We won't be back during the pandemic.
