Was really excited for laksa but they didn’t even provide enough broth to cover the noodles…. Disappointed

Très bons plats Thaïlandais. Plats bien relevés et goûtaient les plats déjà mangés en Thaïlande. Ils ont de la Tiger Beer de Thailande.

Friends recommended this place but Every Single dish was much much better than we expected. Service was phenomenal; Ken explained in such great details and was wonderful!

Beautiful space and great menu, we ordered three dishes (the beef rendang, the assam fish curry and the turmeric spinach), and each of them was really tasty. I don't think the rendang tasted authentic, but the meat was tender and the taste was still really nice. Our server was a real joy to deal with, all in all a wonderful dinner experience!

The food was overall pleasant and well-presented. The roti was soft and crispy, with a flavourful coconut curry which was really nostalgic. Fried pork belly was light and crunchy with a sweet and sour sauce to complement it. Kung pao chicken was flavourful with subtle peanut flavours but not spicy, and the rice was fresh.
It's on the pricier side but the quality is worth it.

Came in during the early evening. Great service and food. Love the flavors. The only thing I didn't like was that the lamb stew meat was pretty dry and tough to eat. Best thing I had there was the eggplant fries - please tell me how it's so crispy.

Simply delicious. First time trying Malaysian cuisine, but if I wasn’t from out-of-town, I’d be a regular here for sure! We tried the 7 course sampler, lamb stew, kung pao cauliflower, and mee goreng. Everything was sooo good without exemption. Nothing too sweet or too salty, either. Our server, Ken, was also super nice and informative regarding the menu and portions. Two thumbs up and a high five to this joint!

We ordered a take out from here on our first night in Vancouver. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the Mee Goreng and the Fish Fillet caramelised with ginger and garlic. Both dishes had such a delicate flavours. We would definitely recommend!

The service was also prompt and our take out was ready exactly when the restaurant staff said it would be.

Personally I tried the kung Pao cauliflower, the roti with a curry sauce and the eggplant fries. The eggplant fries were very soft and tasty but too many would upset my stomach. The kung Pao cauliflower had a nice flavour profile but I asked for extra spicy and it was hardly spicy at all aside from eating the actually few chili peppers. It didn't seem like capsicum was added at all. The dish was very sweet in nature and I found the sauce to resemble the texture of sweet and sour sauce which was a bit overpowering. If that's what you're looking for you might enjoy it but that was not what I was looking for. The best thing was the roti with the curry sauce which I drizzled over the roti and ate it like that. That was the highlight and if I were to get anything there again, that would be it. Just a little snack. I wanted to like it more than I did but if everything was as good as the roti it would be 5 stars.

Came here for happy hour. Not busy at all. Ordered and loved the ramen. Tried a drink with the rice wine. SOOOOO strong. Thank goodness for the flavorful food to be able to mask the taste.

We loved the authentic flavours at Banana Leaf. A delightful place with lovely artwork and stunning food. This is a restaurant that really cares about their customers and it shows. The service was honestly impeccable and the dishes were tasty. A sincere thank you to Vivien and crew. We'll be back.

Banana Leaf doesn't disappoint when it comes to fine yet no so pricey Malaysian cuisine. Great house cocktails as well.

Tried the Singaporean Laksa. Tasted very authentic and was very well prepared. Loved it. The staff was also super nice.

Good but too underseasoned to be authentic. Also ordered a drink which if had any alcohol it was nil.

Tasty, great amount of food, good price. I tried Singapore Laksa a mild spicy coconut soup with rice noodles and great variety of toppings (chicken, eggs, etc.). Friendly staff

It is the most awful restaurant in the city. You will pay a lot with your health and money for the awful food the give. The worst food, no taste, no quality, awful service and I got sick right after them with throughing out all night, the food the gave. And feeling very sick, not being able to do nothing the day after. If you don't want to spoil days of your life, your stomach, your health, never go there. Hope everyone will know this.

Food was not bad overall.
But we got the English bay box… it didn’t come in a box it was served on a plate (maybe because it was dine in?), and the items inside weren’t hot… it felt a little strange the satay was like luke warm

The ribs were fall of the bone juicy and tender. Eat with a bowl of rice and highly recommended.

First visit, and it was a great experience. Food was amazing and delicious. Will visit again.

Of all the restaurants I visited in Vancouver during this trip, Banana Leaf was definitely one of my favorites. Every single dish we ordered flavorful delicious meals cooked to perfection. The prices are very reasonable and the variety of the menu offer something to to everyone ranging from vegetarian to seafood to meat dishes. The service was quick and friendly and most of all you get bang for your buck. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody who enjoys authentic Malaysian cuisine

Delicious and filling. Some of the dishes can be a little heavy so they can be tweaked a little bit but otherwise really good and many variety of dishes. The drink they have with the 3 layers was good too.

Always love Banana leaf. I got the. Assam fish? With a side of rice. A little spicy but really lovely flavours and veggies.

The best Malaysian Restaurant I have visited! A little pricey but the food and spices are delicious. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick.
