Best urban salt water swimming area in Victoria. Tested waters are ten times cleaner than local lakes and do not have toxic algae warnings so common in lakes. New swim dock installed in 2021 has greatly increased accessibility to all. As well, nearby Tree Island installed in 2020 has been a magnet for swimmers and paddlers alike.

I used to live in Ontario, and be jealous of people who had pools. Now I live in bc, ten minutes walk from this gorge, and feel bad for people who paid so much money to get a fraction of the experience I get. And it's free.

Good playground. Wood chips. Fenced in with gates. Parent bench right by the main gate makes it easy to watch for bolters. Only complaint is that there is no shade at the playground.

The place I met on my way to the Victoria West Community Center. A beautiful Gorge water way and a nice Selkirk Trestle bridge catches the eye.

I love swimming here in the summer and the playground is nice, but I wish there were public bathrooms.

Great spot to play field games or have a picnic.
Access to the water and swimming too!
There is a bike trail connecting this park to the rest of the city's bike network.
Tennis courts are here too.
There is a floating platform with a tree on it floating not too far from shore and you can swim out to it.

Great playground, not sure why it needed to be caged, plus one of the handles is broken so can only access the playground at one corner.

Nice park but there are tons of cyclists especially eBikes whipping through here at high speeds, also a lot of sketchiness, but catch it on the right day/time it would rate higher.

Accessable by car, foot, and bike. Great walking and biking trails in the local area. Play structures for children, and benches for sitting. Ocean views.

Beautiful campground, quiet surroundings except for the quarry that sometimes runs all night long. Bring ear plugs.

It's a lovely park, with varied topography, a community orchard, and even small coves from which to launch a kayak or go swimming. Vic West Community Centre is there, too, nearest Craigflower Rd.

This park is excellent for younger kids. My daughter is 2 years old and she was in love. The park looks right over the water so it's so beautiful to hang out here on a nice day.
