Banh Mi Saigon

Their subs are good but the customer service is horrible. It was decent when they were newly opened but it’s gone downhill since then. Lots of other places to buy subs in Vancouver

BEWARE. They are not food allergy friendly. You tell them about a food allergy and they will continue to contaminate your food because they don’t care.

Best Banh Mi (Vietnamese sub) in Vancouver, bar none. Take out only. The bun is soft, yet crunchy, moist and delicious. The protein selections are great, everything is just plain yummy delicious. And there's almost always a lineup.

Called for 8 subs, called again and kindly asked for them to be cut in half she said to busy then hung up. Called again and I asked to cancel order and she said “cancel bye” lol okay?

This place has definitely gone downhill from when it first opened. They do not teach their workers anything about food safety or know how to serve their food during the heat wave. Spent over 20$ for a viet sub with spoiled meat and as well as a bacteria spoiled drink. Def will not come back again after that experience.

Solid sandwich. However some of the pork use in the sandwich has a very strong pork stinks which is a common issue for pork in NA

Fantastic banh mi! Definitely recommend the special roll. The baguette is so crispy and the meat is fantastic. Will definitely come back for more!

Bánh mi xíu mại taste nothing no flavor? Next time u doing better ok and desserts banana with tapioca pears not good too

Sandwiches is good, but I don't like hard sale the drink or some snack, especially gave me two same drinks with sour banana.

Got all wrong of what I ordered even though I repeated and repeated. I ordered 1 regular and 1 with only Mayo, Paté and Viet Ham. So simple but they failed…. They all try to up-sale and forgot what customers order. I will not buy unless there’s nothing else to eat…. No customer service at all…

Order three chicken subs and told them no hot pepper. Gave them to my kids for school and all three were crying. Not going back again.

Always coming here for banh mi and husband loves their meat loaf ones. This time I saw a dark drink on the front counter (no idea what it was) and ask to get one (cashier lady was nice and told me should get two, while I was thinking to try one frist).

End up it was grass jelly and chia seed drink … and it is good (sweetness like bubble tea level). I should had bought two.hubby loves it and we were fighting over the one we got

Double queuing, cash-only place. We tried 3 different bahn mi and enjoyed 2 of them. Perhaps not quite filled as much as competitors but the bread is very authentic. Certainly great value for money, but unless you are in the neighbourhood with time to spare, I wouldn't make a special journey

It's alright. It was my first time. My husband and I had a hard time eating the sub because the bread is like rock solid. Felt like my gum bleed biting into it Bread. But otherwise the drink desserts are good

Heard lots about this place having the best Banh Mi. I showed up and people were lined down the Block - always a good sign. The line moved quick and I got a very affordable chicken Banh mi. It was very tasty, especially for the price. I get the hype! Its still not as good as the best Banh Mi I've ever had (in Calgary) but definitely the best I've had in Vancouver

They have lines marked off outside to allow for social distancing and a speaker so you can hear your number being called after payment. It’s a cash only place and worth the weight. They have a breakdown of the sandwich ingredients in English so you know what is in each sandwich.

Quick service, great price, delicious bread but chicken sub was mediocre overall, lacking in flavour. Place was busy with people coming constantly so perhaps the other subs are packed with much more flavour!

This place is a gem, all Banh Mi all the time. Seriously though the menu is pretty much only sandwiches, which are delicious. For $6.60 you get a tasty sub that’s almost the length of your arm. It’s all served up on some delicious in house baked bread.

Legitamitely the best banh mi I have tried ever. (Having not been to Vietnam, but I feel like this is very close) Very nice pickled veg, mayo, freshest cilantro, and crispy in house baked bread! What's not to love? ! Love the special sandwich the most! This place is a gem and they love it when you call ahead for big orders. Friendly staff!

Cash only! The taste was amazing, cheap and the stuff that worked there was super duper friendly and I love how they recommend things to me that’s popular, and when I didn’t have cash, the old lady at the cash register also told me where to withdraw some cash. Will definitely come back!

I was working in the area and saw this place and decided to give it a try. Absolutely fantastic Banh Mi! The bread is perfect, the lemon grass pork was so flavourful. I highly recommend this place

Once you try thei banh mi you’ll probably never want to go anywhere else. Hands down the best ever! #9 grilled pork is the bomb. Getting hungry just thinking about it!

Easily my favourite banh mi place in town, and based on the long (but fast moving) line ups that are there all the time, I’m just one of many who love this place. I’ve enjoyed every item I’ve had on the menu.

Their bread is fantastic, their House Special is something I crave on a regular basis and every time I eat their Patte Chaud I become the food critic in Ratatouille, transported to Mumbai, 10 year old me returning home after school the Goan/East Indian patties my mom would by from Hirsch Bakery.

I shall dream of the sandwiches here. They were so good, I didn't even take decent photos of them. I had 2; the special and the lemongrass. The bread.the bread is amazing. Thin and crispy shell that just cracks when you bite into it with a soft and fluffy but satisfyingly chewy inside. The bread is amazing. The sandwiches here are godly. The price was like 6 or 7 dollars for a sandwich. An extremely good deal as they are very long. 2 sandwiches will fill you up for a full day.

My FAVORITE banh mi place in town and the ONLY place where I will get my banh mi when I'm craving it. I always get their #1 which is the one with everything on it. They make their own bread and meatballs which is the best part (in my opinion) of their banh mi. I haven't found anything remotely similar to their meatballs at other banh mi shops. I suggest ordering ahead of time since there is always a lineup up front and it is always busy during lunch time. If I could give this place an extra star, I would.

Been here a few times because it taste great but lately they seems to be skimping on the ingredients. Ordered the chicken but there was barely any chicken! Disappointment.

This place used to be good but unfortunately my order today wasn't very good. They're bread is very good but there was next to no filling inside the sandwich! My order didn't fall between a busy lunch hour rush. It was first thing in the morning at 9am! And they're already cheap with the ingredients. Of they continue like this I don't see this business being very successful.
As for their customer service, it's not a place to go to and expect service with a smile. So if you're looking for that, this is not the place to go to. And the cash only thing is a bit annoying especially in the wake of this whole pandemic thing and 99% of businesses were not accepting cash.

First time eating Banh Mi and was not disappointed. Subs are delicious and the price is amazing. If I lived near this place I'd go almost every day

This is one of my favourite banh mi places. They make their bread on site and it's always crispy, chewy and fresh. Today I had the special, cold cut, lemon grass pork and meat pies. Arrived at 9: 45 ish and it wasn't super busy. There was one person in line ahead of me and I had ordered and received my order within 5 minutes. My favourite was the cold cut ($5.50). There's less filling than the special but I love that the cold cuts let's the pate shine. The meat pie and lemon grass pork banhmi were okay. The meat pie filling was very creamy and soft. But I wouldn't order them again. Would definitely recommend their banhmis.

Good subs but the cashier lady's service was atrocious. She made a stink about accepting my change as I had more than 10 coins. Who does this? Cash is cash. Won't be back.

Really well priced banh mi. Good selection and so far all the ones we've ordered have been very tasty! Would highly recommend the lemongrass pork which is very flavourful. There is usually a lineup basically throughout their open hours.

Nice and tasty subs. Make sure you call to order when busy. If you walk up and pay the customers who called will get their orders first even when you arrived first and some order 10 subs at a time.

Massive sub serving. I am quite picky when it comes to subs but I absolutely love this place. Only downside is cash only so be prepared for that.

I have lemongrass pork banh mi and it was the worst banh mi I've ever had. Meat tasted like fish and it was salty. It was just disgusting.: (

No doubt that their queue is always long. I ordered number 1 and the bánh mì is so huge with lots of ham and meat. Their pickle is exceptional, really authentic Vietnamese food. The tamarind juice and sugar cane juice are fresh and amazing after a bánh mì feast. Worth trying!

Finally made it to Bahn Mi Saigon. Took 25mins from lining up to picking up my sandwiches. #1 Special Bahn Mi was very good. Bahn Mi were bigger than normal. Was it worth the wait? YES!
