Bánh Mì Très Bon

I'm not their target market. Overpriced banh mi that doesn't taste authentic. I am probably comparing it to banh mi Saigon on victoria Dr that charges almost half the price and tastes 100x better and is larger in size. $14 for a tiny chicken banh mi the size of my 2 fists together. It was freshly made but doesn't taste fresh or have that viet pickled taste I was hoping for. Would never go back. This is good for someone who wants to sit down somewhere nice, take their time leisurely and spend time with a child or something.

Went for the vegan pho & rice rolls. YUM! Highly recommend visiting for their delicious, piping hot food and cute ambiance.

Took my family here to try because it was one of the restaurants on my list to try. Overall, unique presentation of the food but taste wise is mediocre. We got the bún riêu, lemongrass chicken with rice and phở tái bò viên. We found the food to be a little bland. Service was okay, waiters/waitresses are not very attentive and I feel more training is required.

We asked for hot water and one ice water. The waitress spilled a glass of HOT water on my hand and my cell phone as it was on the table. Phone hasn't working properly since then.will probably have to get a new phone. I tried to keep calm because I didn't want to make a scene. The restaurant manager/owner gave me aloe vera to put on my hand but felt the restaurant could've done a bit more in the aspect of "compensating" me for the experience and the burn on my hand. Good thing I wasn't carry a baby or had a kid with me otherwise the situation could've been worse.

She got my phone number after we paid for the bill because she wanted to check up on me. I left and went to get polysporin because I had to go to work after so wanted to make sure I treated the burn.

The next day, the lady called me and asked how I was doing. I asked her if she would reimburse me the money I spent on the polysporin, which she agreed to etransfer me for. (yet to be received)

1 banh mi not worth paying for $16 including tip and if u pay card i was forced to pay tip lol.only make sence if u dine in then u pay tip.total rip off, last time i ever eat there

Nice little place, the buns are delicious. Tried the mini trio and it was pretty good to try 3 different sandwiches.

The food was good but a little over priced for what was offered. I got the Chicken Pho off the menu. I would suggest the appetizers and the plates.

Few years ago I regularly visited this spot just for the banh mi jambon, it was a lot cheaper back then.

Today I went back for the first time in three years to experience it all over again, the banh mi did not disappoint. The spring rolls I ordered were delicious, but I would suggest adding a bit of spice to the rice paper to make it less bland.

The Vietnamese coffee however was underwhelming, even with the addition of condensed milk it felt like one of those 3-in-1 coffee packets you could easily make at home. Was also expecting the cup to be something like those in Vietnam (drip style).

Perhaps due to popularity (and covid) the prices have increased a lot, it can get really busy most of the time. I came alone so I could get a bar seating by the window easily, but for a bigger party it’s better to book ahead.

It really liked their bánh mì and pho. We got the Phoenix prawn and it was so crispy and the sauce was very different from other Vietnamese restaurants and I really recommend that you give it a try.

We got the lemongrass bánh mì and the fish ball and beef pho and they were both delicious. I highly recommend the lemongrass sandwich. I’ll definitely come back in the future for other things on the menu!

If you're looking for a boujee place for pho, this is the place. Presentation is on point. We ordered the pho and bun bo hue. Absolutely delicious. Meat is great quality. We also ordered the mini crepes as an appetizer but it wasn't a hit. It came after we finished our main course and it was too hard on the outside it would stick on your teeth. Flavor wasn't strong either.

I really enjoyed my Vietnamese sandwich and the decor was lovely. Service was minimal but friendly. One star taken off as was taken aback to see service charge on machine starting from 18% when server simply handed a sandwich and glass of water. Seemed a little excessive for basic service.

The worst beef noodle soup ever in town! The soup isn’t flavorful and the beef tenderloin is under cooked, to say the least. Price is much higher than other comparable ones, not worth the visit. To be fair, the interior decoration looks good. What a waste of money, won’t be back.

Great Vietnamese restaurant that was recommended by my Vietnamese friends. It was my first time having bun rieu, and it was definitely a satisfying food experience. They also sell cute character macarons.

Food
This was my first time having bun rieu and it was a great experience here! The soup had a good tomato and seafood taste. I would definitely get it again here and want to come back and try their pho as well.

The beef and pork tapioca starch dumplings were also very good. The tapioca starch casing was a little bit on the chewy side and made the dumpling interesting to eat.

Atmosphere
The interior design is nice and cute. The food came out on cute trays as well. A casual atmosphere to enjoy a warm bowl of soup or have a Bánh mi sandwich.

Pricing
A little bit more than your average pho place as the soups ranged about 15-20 CAD. Overall the quality is good and worth the price.

Service
Staff was extremely friendly and the food came out very fast. They always asked if we needed anything and were helpful in splitting the bill among multiple people.

Other
The parking lot is shared with a variety of other stores and so I utilized those.

Pretty good, a bjt pricey fir Viet food. More if a fancy version of Pho and Banh MI, like with a French twist? Was nice though. Not sure if I would come again though!

Really bad services and the food is tasteless.

Very garbage pho restaurant.noddle all broken and the soup is honestly NOT GOOD. Very very pricy, it's nowhere near the quality of it's food. Heavily do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. They have a nice renovation though, but the food just a huge disappointment!

Ordered the sandwich and the taste was delicious. I definitely will go back to try other foods.

Comme si comme ca. The restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated but the food is expensive and bland.

We got the Bun Rieu, a bowl of pho and a banh mi. Everything lacked flavor. I really wanted to like this place. The staff are very friendly but I wouldn't recommend the food to anybody.

The service was attentive and the food was well executed. They have all the classic Vietnamese dishes you would expect.

Went here with a group of five. The meals came out one at a time rather than altogether and one dish came so late that the first dish brought out was already finished.
The food itself was fine. We tried some vermicelli bowls and some banh mis. The bread was good and the vermicelli was well cooked but I have eaten better vietnamese food in Vancouver before.
The desserts looked better than they tasted. All of them were bland, oily, and tough.
I wouldn't go out of my way to avoid this place but with so many options in Vancouver I probably won't come back.

We ordered our food but totally missed. Even asked us if we are ready to order just thinking that we just arrived. We actually seated and ordered long time ago already. Seated at the restaurant for 30 mins for nothing. Dirty dishes cart just right at the back of the seat. Not good.

So overpriced for mediocre food and the service is TERRIBLE! At least 3 waitresses saw me (eye contact) but no one came until 3 min later. They just stood there chatting. Take out order takes forever to make. Do not expand the size if your staff cannot take that many orders. Never gonna come back again

UPDATE the portion of the food is incredibly small for a $20 rice noodle. And they gave the wrong type of noodle for the pho we ordered. This is just unbelievably terrible.

Pretty disappointing with the lack of traditional flavours. The soup was lacking that hearty flavour and overall was quite bland. The decor was amazing but with the steeper price tag and stingy on the ingredients, it was not worth the visit.

Their beef pho is one of my favorites! Beef stew w bread is also tasty. Always ordered take out but their dine in environment is good as well. Service is fair wouldn’t say good and that’s why I would always do take outs.

Ordered two sandwiches to go and after waiting 25 min I asked the manager why it’s taking so long. He said the kitchen messed up and didn’t get the order so they were grilling the meat. However, the lady sitting at a table ordered in front of me and got hers in 2 min. Didn’t want to waste anymore time and asked for a refund. He couldn’t even get the refund to go through on my card so eventually he gave me cash. Also, $26 for two sandwiches? ! Not to mention the restaurant was jam packed with no distancing. Never ever again, go somewhere else!

The place is a bit expensive for bland food. The only thing I would go back for is the chicken wings which were nicely battered and fried. Unfortunately the bun had very light flavors where you couldn't really taste the meat or spread, and the crab tomato soup was not very spicy, nor could u taste any crab. There were large chunks of tomatoes seemed like a cheap way to add fillers for this dish. The positive besides the chicken wings is that the decor is nice. Wouldn't come back here willingly for food again.

Everything on the menu is ridiculously good. It’s like the chef knows all of my favourite flavours and made the menu for me!

Ordered lots of fun dishes. Everything tastes great, and very well presented. Lots of colour in the food, plates and bowls, and decor was really colorful too. Had a lovely time here.

There did is very good, but they are very busy. If you're getting take-out for lunch, be sure to order ahead of time.

Ordered lemongrass chicken sandwich ($10). The flavour was just as expected just like any other Vietnamese sandwich nothing stand out. But the portion was too small for its price. And the bun was not crispy enough. They got many pretty pictures, it's just a place good for taking photo for IG but the food was just ok. Mount Pleasant price at Richmond location.

Ambiance is stylish, new to me. Food are alright, i was disappointed with their beef on Vermicelli, the seasoning wasnt right, the wings is alright too cuz it had butter and garlic instead of the usual fish sauce wings, crunchy so you know it's fresh off the deep fryer. Iced tea lemon, apple and mango were good and not too sweet, they need to put more ice to make it look good on photos. Avocado smoothie was done right, not too sweet. The beef pho was delicious, the pork with Vermicelli and chicken Vermicelli were good as well, they seasoned those right. The service is an issue, we had the entree first then comes the appie and our drinks were last. I was wondering why everytime I come here, the food arrives in a backwards sequence.

Had the crab meat bahn mi special - first half was good, second half was definitely not fresh. My friend who I was with tried it and agreed. I also had their tiger prawn salad rolls (minus the pork), they we just ok. Service seemed good at first but she just dropped our food off and didnt really ask us how it was or even approach us after. If you are vegetarian or even pescaterian (like me) not many options. Would not go back.

I knew I had to try bahn mi, and this new Richmond restaurant has been much talked about and highly praised. My time had come! We had tiger prawn spring rolls (classic), mango salad (sweet and crunchy), and the bahn mi trio: crusty French rolls filled with a variety of meats (pork belly and ham, chicken, and meatball) and topped with fresh crisp greens. The meatball came in third, well behind the chicken and the house version. On our next visit, I will likely order a full-sized house sandwich. At $8, it is a full meal on its own. However, the surprise star of our visit was the handmade shrimp and pork tapioca dumplings. This appetizer was mind-blowing for its layers of textures and flavours.

Very nice Vietnamese restaurant that everything looks extra fancy. Price is just a tad higher than other pho place but it's worth it. You can tell the owner put a lot of effort on decorating the place, even on the wooden menu. Food was great, portion for the pho was a little small but it's good. It claimed the was no msg added yet the soup is very flavorful. I like the banh mi jambon, it tastes really good. I'll definitely come back again.

Presentation of food is amazing, and the restaurant design is very unique. Does not look like a typical Pho restaurant. I like how they also sell macaroons adding another uniqueness to it.

The pho noodles had bone marrow in there. Very unique and taste. However portion was a bit small and IMO the broth lacked flavour.

The Vermicelli bowl was just right in terms of flavour and portions.

Would come again to try the rest of their menu.

I’ve been here twice now. The decor is very cool, and the place gets a lot of sun, which is nice to sit and take in while you have a coffee. The Banh Mi dish I had was excellent, and I’ll be back to have it again. The pho I had on my return visit wasn’t the best though, even if it looked great. They have other soups to try though, so I will give soup another shot here.

Love their mini Banh Mis. Very authentic little Vietnamese cafe. Highly recommend the Banh Mis and mini crepes. Their pho is disappointing, however. Needs more beef strips and less prepackaged meatball.

Reservation for 6 however they didn't have a table ready and had to wait for over 15 minutes for a table - to be fair it's a small restaurant and it was peak business hours. Food was presented very well, majority of food was seasoned well and prepared in reasonable times. Only downside was the mini crepes, which was very greasy, and was next to bland, which was a bit disappointing. The Vietnamese sandwiches are a definite recommend. Cozy atmosphere with couches, lounge chairs, and dim lights constructs an atmosphere one might find similar to home. Price was a bit challenging, I personally would only come back for the sandwiches and potentially the bone marrow pho. Overall good restaurant, good to try

Came here for a quick snack and ordered the mini crepes and the tapioca dumplings. Both dishes were very good and nicely presented. Service was quick and friendly. Looking forward to trying more dishes next time.

Been here a few times and I love it! I’ve enjoyed the lunch menu but this time, my girlfriend and I popped in when they opened for a nice breakfast. Their egg banh mi and Viet coffee were amazing and we also indulged in their sweets.so glad I’m not too far from them

Best broth in Vancouver so far. Absolutely 5-star for the pho. You know what I mean. Just order the pho with bone marrow. Limited seats. You might go for late lunch after 2pm.

False advertisement Free Range Chicken Pho.

I ordered the "Free Range Chicken Pho" what I received was a bowl of soup that uses processed chicken meatballs with a bit of actual chicken. The broth and entire dish tasted of these chicken meatballs and it was the most unpleasant bowl of pho/soup I have ever eaten. When I asked if this was free range chicken, the staff assured me it was but that the meatballs came from elsewhere and they couldn't guarantee what they were made from. This is false advertising and they made me pay full price for it. I will never go to this place again.

Good food, but some of the workers are always in a bad mood. I've visited a few times now and tip well (above average). I'm not going to point out anyone in particular, but the owner should know that some of her young workers are far ruder than the norm in this city - and that's already not great to begin with.

The menu is thoughtful with progressive ingredients and a mind for sustainability. All of the dishes we tried were above-average for Vietnamese restaurants around Richmond.

It really is a shame that some of the teen workers here treat neutral/polite customers poorly. I hope they improve on that.

My first impression of this place was very pleasant. I walked into the restaurant to find a very clean and welcoming environment. The place had bright colors and the furniture definitely played a role. The waitress did an amazing job serving us which made me feel welcome. The menu itself is made out of this light wood and has a limited selection of food. When the food arrived, portions do not seem to convince me that the meal would be great simply because it is small. I had the Grilled lemongrass chicken on rice with the egg and my first impression wasn't the best. However the taste was exemplary, having a well balanced flavor of the chicken, saltiness, vinegary from the sauce, and savory. The beef tenderloin noodle soup has an amazing broth and a large bone. Broth is very light and has a good savory taste to it which adds on to my wonderful meal. However disappointment kicks in when I tried the Savoury mini crepes. The crepes lack a lot of flavor due to the amount of filling for each one. The crepes were also very oily as it coated my plate with a layer of oil. Overall I would say it is a delightful meal as the main dishes prove to be amazing compared to Thai Son. The quality is definitely better than most places and I would definitely come back, hungry for more.

Pho is pho.or is it? This place puts a unique elegance to Vietnamese food. The pho is served with a marrow-filled bone and a quaint bamboo tray. Other than typical papaya salad they have a tasty pomelo salad that super fresh tasting. The banh mi subs have great buns which taste like they're baked in-house. Only wish is that the subs have a bit more filling to bun ratio.

I absolutely loved this tiny and cute Vietnamese restaurant. The banh mi xiu mai is the best one I have ever had! Service is nice and helpful. The pho tasted super fresh. Very recommended place to go and grab some food!

This is my go to for Viet noodles- Bun Bo Hue. A cozy restaurant that serves bold flavor noodles! The best is the bun Bo Hue in town and the spicy seafood noodle. Hands down.
Just be aware there could be a wait on Friday evenings and weekends, but won't take too long! Must try!
