One of the best places to get sushi! Very tasty, huge portions and really cheap. There are only a few places like that in the entire Vancouver

Yummy sushi. Big pieces, almost too big, but filled with great fillings in the sushi rolls. Fresh, fast service and great value. We had about 50 pieces for $48.

Pretty good, especially for low income individuals (e.g. Me myself), as their sushi help you to understand your situation.

Probably the most well known go to for sushi parties on a budget. You don't get a better bang for your buck anywhere else. That said, the quality is severely lacking as the flavor of the fish and rice taste somewhat bland. The tempura was overcooked and greasy. Nonetheless, this place is well known by students as the go to for sushi.

Their website states 10% off for one day advance notice or 5% off for two hours notice. I guess they skimp that by not picking up any calls.

Idk. Their rolls are getting smaller and smaller imo. However the taste and price are still unbeatable. The pictures are 2020 vs 2022

Go to take-out sushi in Richmond! Their sushi rolls are HUGE. They give you a discount if you order the day before (10%) or 2hrs ahead (5%)

I've been coming here for years and honestly I always loved this place. It's near my house, cheap and big portions. But recently there has been huge inconsistencies with their food. Especially with the house rolls. I've spent thousands of dollars here over the years and they can recognise my mom or me whenever we order takeout so I honestly didn't wanna write this but the consistency is just garbage now. Either it's good or its not. Feels like gambling honestly. I'll let the pictures show and you can see if it's worth gambling yourself. The first picture is what I got today vs what I got a couple weeks ago. If it was just once where the house roll was just a fake crab meat roll I wouldn't have minded but this has happened more and more frequently as of late. Hopefully they can improve but I doubt they care about online reviews and I'm honestly done taking chances on this place every time. I rather pay more for better consistency.

Although it is hard to comment on the quality of the sushi, you'll definitely get your money's and belly's worth.

Great place for sushi and sashimi, just a little hidden gem. I'm still curious to try their udon noodle soup but consider myself a client!

Great spot for sushi party trays, especially because their portions are huge, making it really great value! I have been a fan of this place for many years and still go there to this day! Their trays (which come in boxes btw) are great for potluck parties and more. You would always get a “wow, that’s huge! ” kind of comment, guaranteed!

From my experience, their sushi has been fairly fresh and the service has been pretty good. You can call ahead to order and pickup is always very prompt. Just make sure you bring cash as they do not accept cards (but hopefully in the future?).

Thought we’d try something new but sad to say, our take out meal was very disappointing.
This place is quantity over quality.
Presentation was good but that’s about it. The wasabi didn’t even taste like wasabi.the shrimps were artificially pink.the dynamite roll was really unsatisfying.
We will not be back and we do not recommend this place.

Ordered this party tray for friends gathering! Their portion are as HUGE as always! Those sizes are impressive and you will never forget to order this for party, cause everyone will be satisfied for sure!
For the sashimi, not really recommended as you can tell they are not really fresh compare to other Japanese restaurants.
Anyway, it’s good to order their sushi and for parties!

Although I don't expect good customer service, the person who responsible for taking order at the cashier just give a very cold service.

Omg yes! These are huge! I got the veggie roll special. 3 rolls for $9.80 and they are absolutely worth it. Will be back again soon! Also forgot to add it's cash only.

Came here Aug 2021. Made an order through ubereats but they weren't able to accommodate a simple request of having the massage on the side instead of on top if the sushi. Young guys at the counter were unfriendly, looking passed off and not wanting to be there. Did not thank customers and they just looked annoyed.

Also saw a small cockcroach run behind the toilet.
Would avoid this place and go back to Gami Sushi.

Their house roll. Oh ma. *chefs kiss* so filling and it has everything you can ask for all in one roll. I go every month just for that roll. Everything else here is also generously portioned and well priced too. Good place to go for fast sushi.

Big portion and affordable price are the highlight of this joint. However if you looking for some fancy sushi, look elsewhere. This place is cash only. 10% off if order a day in advance. 5% off if order 2 hours ahead.

My experiences at Banzai over the last couple years have been absolutely wonderful! The portion sizes are sooo great for groups plus they’re affordable! Love you banzai big love?

I really like the sushi here but I found a sharp bone in my spicy tuna roll today which is really unacceptable. It almost cut my mouth.

Cheap and fast. Quality is better than you'd expect for this price point. A solid option for people that eat a lot of sushi.

Renowned sushi spot located in central Richmond, known for their generous portion sizes and reasonable prices.

If you're looking for a quick stop to fill a craving, or need a party tray for your upcoming gathering this is the place to go.

No other cheap sushi in the area compares, so unless you want something more refined or expensive, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We enjoy getting takeout sushi here when we’re craving large house rolls (great value along with a few other selections due to the size of the sushi). Service is a hit or miss, you will get rushed off the phone from time to time or get an unhappy person (usually the same guy) at the front collecting cash. But you can always count on your food being ready for pick up at the time indicated. Still cash only despite the pandemic.

Amazing Sushi, huge pieces for a great price. 1-2 orders will have you stuffed, but also so delicious where you'll be wanting more the next day

Has been around for ages and I eat/ordered here countless times. Best price/portions in Richmond. And ingredients are always fresh. What more can you ask for?

The rice to fish ratio here is insane! Their nigiri is literally like thin slices of fish on dense rice bricks. It was like eating rice nuggets. $23.00 after tax for the deluxe assorted sushi. You can easily find better deals nearby that includes a miso soup and tempura with the sushi. I mean. You will definitely be full but come if you are looking to get full off white rice.

The sizes of the rolls were HUGE, prices low and ingredients fresh. Surprisingly impressed with the service and quality of this hole-in-the-wall place. We did an order for take out and the food was ready pretty quickly, given the fact that we didn't bother calling in ahead - Highly recommended compared to the other sushi spots around Richmond!

Their prices have gone up recently and their portions on things like the salmon sashimi seems to have gone down. Food is decent, service is always lackluster. Been coming here for years. If youre looking for a good dine in experience, go somewhere else.

Great bang for buck. Wouldnt reccomend this place for people with small mouths since both the portions and size of the pieces are fairly large. Sometimes their fish could take a while longer to defrost, and they're cash only in the age of the card. Service is also pretty good even durring rush hours.

We're customers of many years and like the place for good quick service and quality of food. Its It's no super fancy though, but for such reasonable prices and sizes of portions it is just unbeatable competition. Staff is friendly all the time. Very comfortable location and accessible.

I used to eat here all the time to satisfy my sashimi craving as this place is best known for its quantity vs.quality and was decent enough. But this time I ordered the spicy tuna roll and it was super mushy and fishy in a bad way, not fresh and tasted like it was sitting out for a while. There was also two long hard bones found when I was eating it. I told the waiter at the end and am no longer returning here again.

Large portions, delicious sushi and quick service. The BBQ salmon roll was dry and had no flavor so I would avoid that. House roll, sashimi, futomaki, chop scallop roll all very yummy and flavorful.

Portions are smaller than expected. The prawn tempura was very thin for $10. Not much prawn or batter. Decent for a quick bento though.

If you love sushi and can make it to Richmond this place is an absolute must!

If you are really hungry and craving for sushi, this is the place to come too. The sushi are just gigantic and so it can be difficult to handle the rolls - they just fall apart after one bite. The ingredients are fresh. Unless you do a lot of exercise, you will definitely get carb overload eating here due to the sheer amount of rice they used to make these giant sushi.

BEWARE: might be bones in your sushi. Unfortunately, the roles we have ordered had fish bones left in the spicy tuna roles.

Good place to eat at with friends. Offers all-you-can-eat. Food quality is ok but better than Richmond Sushi. Staff were friendly but didn't engage much as they were very busy.

Rolls are too large to enjoy, every bite has to be broken down. Sushi portions are indeed huge and yummy. Food isn’t made to order, rolls are prepare. Cash only is a turn off. Price is low for quantity of food provided.

This place has large serving portions and it's a default for ordering party trays. The fish tastes fresh and the rice is good. I also have recommended this place to my friends. I normally pick up food myself out of courtesy to the restaurant owner who has to pay 20-30% to the delivery services. I was quite surprised today to get a rude response when I asked for water when I picked up my food. I'm an older person and the cashier was a young fellow. I was taken aback by his response. I guess once you're successful it's okay to be rude.

Simply incredible value. I love their classics. Appetizer sashimi, 5 pieces for $6.50? Salmon rolls for $2.50? It doesn't had the ambience of Gami Sushi but it is well painted and you cannot beat these prices imho. The sashimi pieces were huge and the maki felt the same quality as any other good sushi place.

Featuring extreme low price with unbelievable large quantity. I often ordering take out from this place, can't tell much difference on their sashimi and sushi rolls compare to other sushi place. Their nigiri and tempura are just so so if not below the average to me.

They are often busy, make sure you double check with your order so they don't miss it.

Overall, I would recommend this place to others.

Bad quality food and expensive price.
The worst thing is, they display the Rising Sun Flag. It is an offensive military symbol in many Asian countries of wartime past and recalls Japanese military occupation, oppression and wartime atrocities.
It’s considered as Japanese Hakenkreuz.

Portions are huge, but the sushi tastes terrible! You can tell that they do not know how to properly make sushi unfortunately.

Beware of the pickup time! The order arrived 30 minutes past the set pick-up time and made our event very rushed!
