Baoguette Vietnamese Bistro

Its actually the best Vietnamese food I've only ever had although I have only been to a handful of places.the bread was so fresh! And I was pleasantly surprised by the soursop juice.

Visit today for the first time, not too many customers but lack of staffs.we need to wait quite long in order to have our orders being placed!
food not bad but i think it is over rated cos' it's only a small shop, no decor and no service at all, when i go to washroom, i see the kitchen is quite dirty and mess! I won't come for the next time

Food was ok. My #46 dish ($17.50) was a tad underwhelming as far as flavour is concerned. Meat and pickled radish didn't have much flavour. Fish sauce dip for spring roll was a compensation for that at least. Next time I'll try their namesake, a baoguette (banh mi)!

Parking is metered street parking unless you go more than a couple blocks away for residential parking.

Service was ok. Taking orders was good but no follow up after bringing food with refills of drinks.

Dining room was not too busy but we were there kind of late in the evening.

Very DIRTY SMELLY place and bad customer service: lots of flies, staffs don’t even clean the tables after each guests. Staffs talk badly about customers thinking customers don’t understand their language. Food is below average.

Don't bother to order take out with them, waited for 1 hour and the server told me they forgot about my order

Other reviews were right, service was slow.painfully slow and of low quality. We even were mistakenly given someone else's food. No apology or info on where our food was. That says, the banh mi was good, no complaints.

Food is good but the service is just terrible. Multiple times, actually pretty much all the time, I had to wait for my order for so long because they forget to pack/make it. People seem to be lovely, but I wish they were more organized….

Piece of plastic bag found in the soup. Did not get a sincere apologize from the staff members - they were not surprised with this and felt like they didn’t care. PRETTY SHOCKING AND GROSS

Great food (hence 2 stars and not 1), but this short Vietnamese lady (the one that doesn't speak English very well - not the nicer lady who seems like she might be the owner) ran after me for tipping 10% instead of 15%.

Tipping is and should always be optional given that in British Columbia servers make minimum wage - and given the total absence of service she gave me when I was in the restaurant I was more inclined to tip 0%, but the fact that she ran after me for more tips sealed the fact that I will not be visiting this place again.

Service was not really good. My friend got a stomachache but I dont really care because I thought the food was good and I am okay

I ordered the #1 banh mi, chicken sub sandwich. Honestly, it was VERY good. Girl working the counter was friendly

Food quality is average but size is big.the path to toilet is wet and slippery. The kitchen is quite dirty

A Vietnamese restaurant that deserves a solid 4. Pork & crab meat noodle soup is awesome. The soup base looks thin but tastes really rich. The food in the bowl is plentiful and delicious - pork & crab meat ball and fish cake are house-made, well textured and tasty. The bean curb is not fresh enough or washed well though. Rare beef & beef ball noodle soup is another delight to the taste buds. The soup is very hot when served which is a nice thing to me. Love the taste and texture of the beef balls. The last dishes ordered is house special rolls. It’s a mix of traditional deep fried spring rolls and paper rich rolls. Truly amazing. Overall very happy with the food in this restaurant. Looking forward to the next visit.

We always go here to eat because we live in Kerrisdale, but today my wife ordered food for our dinner (January 6,2023 around 530 pm) the lady at the cashier is so rude. We felt disrespected and will never eat from this restaurant again. Customer service is garbage.

Good food, bad service. Was seated down and told them immediatly that we are ready to order. They told us to wait and ended up taking orders from other tables that arrived after us.

Pretty bad service. We had to wait about 20 minutes after they sat us down and ask them 3 times before somebody took our order. They took orders from people who came after us and ignored our table. Took a total of an hour since we got here to get our food and they sat us down pretty quickly. Very disappointing considering we always come here for the amazing food.

I don’t know how to complain about a bad restaurant here. Is there no consumer protection agency? For example, there are serious health problems, etc?

I walked past this Vietnamese restaurant in Kerrisdale many time and eventually I got the chance to give it a try. They have total 5 restaurants in Vancouver and this one is located in Kerrisdale Village.

The restaurant was spacious and tidy. They removed the tables in the center area so it is more spacious. The window seat with the W41th Avenue wire was nice, especially in a sunny afternoon.

My wife and I went there for a late lunch at around 3pm. We ordered the crab meat rice noodle and the Spring rolls and chicken rice. The crab meat rice noodle tasted good with the soup. The ingredients MCL using the crab meats and some tofu skins and tomatoes. They all matched well. For the rice, the chicken fillet was marinated with lemongrass and it was grilled properly awoke my taste buds. The fried spring rolls was crispy. The overall portion was sufficient for me.

For the service, it was generally OK. We didn’t have many interactions with the servers.

Overall the vibe was good. I will try more other dishes there next time.

The side soup on Uber eats is just broth and is $10. Label it properly and contact me for a refund/exchange please.

Delicious spicy peanut brother and fish cake broth. The spicy peanut broth is not as thick as I’ve had at another restaurant, but it was still delicious. The fish cake soup had large chunks of fish cakes. The service was a little slow since it was busy trying to manage dine in service and online orders. They also ran out of bean sprouts (this was at 7pm on a Thursday evening). They were attentive with refilling the waters. Would still return if I was in the area craving some pho. Thanks for the experience!

Decent place. I like their salad roll because they don't stuff it with noodles. Portions are very small for the price.
