Service, atmosphere and food was OK. I had higher expectation of the food based on the reviews. It wasn’t bad but also not exceptional.

My favorites were the basque cheesecake and wagyu beef tongue. Beef tartare wasn’t the best.

Amazing, staff, food and cocktails are top notch! Highly recommend. Jorge is a superstar! Gave us custom recommendations, very appreciated!

Trendy, over priced and over hyped restaurant. The food needed acid and salt. Everything was sweet and unbalanced. We paid $42 for the wagu beef cheeks and they tasted like old meat. The prawns were frozen shrimp from a grocery store in oil and garlic. The “scallops” are one scallop sliced in thin rounds to fill a plate with a sweet creamy dressing on them and grapes, the plate looks pretty but is severely lacking. This is not high end food. When asked how the food was at the end of our meal I said, “It was ok. ” The server apologized but that’s where it ended. A manager never came to speak to us and no adjustments to our bill were made. It didn’t seem like a concern.

We are in Whistler often. There are several better restaurants for value and quality of food in the village. Don’t waste your money here.

Try:
Barefoot Bistro
Quattro
21 Steps (Small plates only)
The Keg
Alpine Cafe

Really anywhere in the village is better for the prices and wait time to get in. Also, don’t try bringing your kids here, they will not accommodate a young child.

Trendy place, beautiful decor and atmosphere. Food was amazing along with the cocktails. Great service.

Great place. Beautiful dishes. Need to book here. Service is questionable at best but that wouldn’t take from quality of food. Can’t stand idiots visiting and happy everyone but they leave negative one because of some stupid issue that is not related to food. In other words this place is astonishing to be inside this village. Great job

We ate lunch here and walked around the village - a few hours later my mom who is 75 and has suffered a stroke needed to use the restroom - they refused - they were empty but the staff and management here are heartless - nice when you pay - but forget you an hour later - there are so many great choices in the village - avoid Osu - do it for your parents and grandparents because they won’t!

Update: since they renovated this place it went downhill. Love that it's larger and kept the same feel. However they appear to not do off menu anymore and honestly their cocktails went downhill. Options aren't great and not made with love. Service is still amazing, food isn't as good or rather the bread isn't as good as before. When we went to Whistler we came every night to bar oso and spent lots. Now we came tried, left and sadly won't be returning. I can't recommend this place anymore. Maybe I'll try it again in high hopes but it's a huge disappointment.

Photos were from before and they look incredible, new photos I didn't take because drinks were not worthy.

I'm a huge cocktail fan, don't go anywhere else if you are as much of a cocktail fan as much as me. Just stop at Bar Oso, these drinks are incredible. Wish they had more vegan or vegetarian options for food but eat somewhere else and come here to get the party started. Love cocktails, love this place. It does remind me of a bar in Vancouver but these guys do better drinks. Will be back tomorrow.

The renovations have been incredible. Beautiful bar, it feels like you've stepped into a top notch venue in the city.

Food and drinks are absolutely fantastic - shishito peppers are super moreish, the ceviche is the best I've had in a long time and the bite-sized montaditos will change your life. Alpine Collins and the Go Figure were delicious. And make sure you try the Spanish Vermut too, excellent value for a little aperitif.

Shout out to the team as well, bartender Mikey and manager Emer were super friendly and knowledgeable, and made our celebratory evening feel super special. In fact, everyone we interacted with was lovely.

The price IS high but it feels absolutely justified with the level of care, ingredients and skill put in by the team. Add that to the decor and ambience, you will find that this is definitely the type of high-end value that you should expect. Even with a busy bar we had our drinks and food served up in mere minutes each time. Cheers! Looking forward to coming back.

Bad experience at Oso. The atmosphere is great but it being a busy place, the customers who are alone are ignored.

I was given a seat in the extreme corner in the bar and the server arrived at my seat after 15-20 mins.

Maybe, I being alone am on the lower side of the revenue generator for the Oso bar. Thanks to Oso bar's customer service.

There are a lot of other places nearby which could have a better experience than this.

The best restaurant in Whistler isn't even a restaurant. It's Bar Oso! Everything was delicious.

Most restaurants in Whistler are disappointing. But I didn't come to Whistler for the restaurants, I came for the biking, which is exceptional. Well, so is the food at Bar Oso!

Had great cocktails, and some appetizers. Just do not order the mussels that are served from a can.

Bar Oso used to be my favorite place to eat and drink in Whistler. My family and I were regular customers and always looked forward to coming in. The restaurant was closed for a long time due to renovations. Pre renovation, I would always sit at the table out on the sidewalk with my small dog and it was ALWAYS a pet friendly table. Post renovation no dogs are welcome, despite the fact that the table is on the sidewalk, and the exact same space that was dog friendly prior to the closure for renovation. Additionally, my experience is that the quality of the food and drinks has gone downhill since the re-opening, and the prices have gone up.

Most of the shareable plates were great. Cocktails on point. Excellent service and great atmosphere all-around. Definitely will be back if I'm in Whistler.

Had another amazing experience at Bar Oso! We sat at the bar and were served by an awesome bartender named Guillaume. He made the best cocktails I'd ever had and was very friendly. Would recommend this place to everyone.

I knew I would love this place. Being a TopTable restaurant, Bar Oso was sure to be amazing. It did not disappoint!
The food was incredible. You could tell that each offering was creatively and expertly crafted; each item came with its own individual experience. Lots of tasty drink options. And I had the gluten-free options, I did not miss out on taste. It was impressive.
Ambiance was awesome. Lighting, sound, seating, the mix of wood, marble, metal. Boujie yet warm. Washroom - the one - was clean.
Service was good, helpful and personable. You could tell they were busy.
Note: they do not accept reservations, not even for large groups. Worth the wait tho. I recommend a short walk on the village stroll while you wait. Quite lovely.
I will be dining here again, and repeatedly.

Had a wonderful experience closing the night out at Bar Oso. Great Spanish-style food and drinks. The bartenders were very friendly and talkative. The atmosphere wasn’t too loud and felt very upscale. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Whistler.

This was by far our favourite experience since bar oso reopened. Even better than the first time thanks to our amazing server maddie from Quebec. The service was great, the chat was impeccable, and the food was mouth watering. Will definitely come back again.

Completely ridiculous pet policy. Offered to tie dog on the PUBLIC walkway 2+ metres from the patio sit outside (where not another person was to be seen on today’s 28° scorcher). We were told that wasn’t acceptable despite another dog, whose owner was clearly inside, being tied to another rail on the same public walkway adjacent to the door. We were told the railing by the stair “was too close to the food”. Appalling.

Magnificent! That’s actually an understatement. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and birthdays this evening at Bar Oso, our absolute favorite restaurant in Whistler. Our server, Nick, led us through the most delicious culinary journey, every step leading perfectly to the next. His recommendations were invaluable. He instilled such trust that we let him select every dish and beverage. He. Is. Amazing! Thank you, Nick and Bar Oso, for creating a this memory for us.

This place is by far the best food and drink in all of Whistler. I mean by far the best.
There is no where else that comes close to the quality of food this place is putting out.

This place does not do a happy hour, I came because I read a review that it does.

Man am I glad I stopped in, the scallop and lobster ceviche is incredible. Worth the visit- this place is only a bar inside so small plates and bomb cocktails. It’s pricey but worth it
