I had a bad haircut from another salon that I needed to fix very quickly. Ahmet was wonderful and squeezed me in at the last minute! He completely fixed my bad bob and gave me the exact haircut I wanted:) So happy with the wonderful service and end result. I highly recommend Ahmet from Barbarella!

This salon has booked 3 appointments for me that I never requested or called in to book. I used to work for Barbarella Hair Salon in 2017 and it was a disorganized workplace, owned by shady business owners who fled to the USA to avoid tax fraud. These people still own the salon. I received 2 haircuts from Barbarella in 2020, which I was satisfied with, but the way they're trying to drum up business right now is unethical, and I don't want to support them anymore.

Even though I moved out of the neighbourhood years ago, I keep coming back to Barbarella. With the change over in management, it is still my favourite salon. My current hair stylist Admet is great at what he does! His precision, swiftness and quality work are qualities I look for in a hairstylist! He always makes me look great and feel extra confident coming outta the salon: D

My first haircut in Vancouver and I was lucky enough to find Barbarella. Ahmet did a wonderful job, he definitely knows what he is doing, very professional and was also very nice and attentive. I am so happy with the end result:)

I am very happy with Ahmet as a stylist. My last visit I was uncertain of my length but learned to style it better withthe right hair tools & product. I absolutely love my new look and getting so many compliments.

I came in with my grandfather for his haircut. He’s in his late 80s and I didn’t realize that he’s been here a few times already, the staff was so lovely and our stylist was very welcoming, professional, and respectful. I don’t often write reviews but this place definitely deserves it. Thanks so much for taking us in without an appointment and for making my grandfather feel so comfortable that he keeps coming back.

This was my first time at Barbarella and I was very satisfied with their service! They offered me a coffee while I was waiting for my hair dresser, and then Mila was very gentle and gave me a bunch of useful tips to take care of my hair! And I am very happy with the haircut.

It was the first time to get my hair done in Vancouver but seems like I picked the best hair salon here. Ahmet who provided a service for me was so friendly and he did an amazing job on my hair. I'll come again for sure. Thank you!

Ahmet gave a great cut with good explanations, advice on maintenance (what to do, what not to do), and styling tips. He provided good counsel. I visited Barberella for a roots bleach out and mens cut with Joanna. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the job that was done. The colour was very uneven and orange/brassy and did not match the colour I came in with. In addition my hair was damaged in the process. The cut was also not well done and she cut off way more hair then I asked for and styled it completely different for what I walked in with. I would not recommend having a bleach out done with this stylist and would be very careful when explaining what you want.

Nothing against the salon- they fully refunded me and I was able to get the colour corrected elsewhere however I don’t think this stylist was equipped with the skills or knowledge for bleaching hair.

I was over the moon excited about the cut Jonah gave me! He really listened to my (albeit vague) ideas and made some even better suggestions. It went above and beyond my expectations and I didn’t have the dreaded “haircut hangover” the day after -it’s totally manageable to style and super versatile. I love love love love it! Bonus points for not forcing awkward conversation. I’m so much more content just quietly letting the stylist do their thing without trying to make small talk. Thank you Jonah! You are a talent on Main and I couldn’t recommend the team here enough.

I came to Barbarella to get help fixing an atrocious cut I got somewhere else. Vanessa was amazing! She gave me an excellent cut and showed me some styling tips for making the cut work best with my wavy hair. Is it the cheapest place? No, but I’d rather pay $70 for a cut that makes me feel like a million bucks than one half that price that makes me feel like garbage. The customer service was great, too. Really happy with my total experience here.

Kacie gave me one of the best Haircuts I've recieved in years, very happy with how it turned out.
