Came to Barclay's to get my grandmothers ring fixed, The staff had such amazing customer service! She's 98yr and they were all so patient! I ended up liking them so much that I'm now having a gold chain fixed by them! 10/10 Highly Recommend

My mother is very ill and is bed-ridden, and recently her ring finger had started to swell considerably. A nurse told us we would need to remove the ring and we spent the following 24 hours exploring every option we could to remove the ring. We were unable to find a tool to complete the job but had been told that we could go into a jewelry store to have a ring removed, so I decided to call one and ask if they had any idea where we could get our hands on one of these cutting devices.

Without hesitation the owner, Geoffrey, volunteered to come to our home after he finished his day and remove the ring for us. He did just this, and even refused to take any form of payment for it, saying he was just happy to have helped. I cannot put into words how relieved we now feel, and just how blown away we are by the kindness and generosity you showed us today.

I had the most bizarre experience here. I wanted to get my wedding rings redesigned, so I booked an appointment with Tara, the jewellery designer. My husband and I spent 45 minutes with her, looking at my stones, trying on rings, and deciding on designs. She promised us a quote by the weekend as we were working on a shorter timeline. We left feeling really positive and impressed.

We didn’t hear from her by Friday or Saturday as promised, and still nothing on Monday. Since they had my rings, I started to get a bit concerned. I called on Tuesday and they said that Tara was sick and that someone would get back to me. On Wednesday, I received both a text and email asking me to call the store. When I called, Hiroko explained that Tara was sick and would be out sick for awhile. She asked me to explain what I wanted and come into the store and start the process again. She seemed unable to access all the work we’d already done with Tara. I was unwilling to go through the entire process again with someone who did not appear to be the jewellery designer. I told Hiroko that I no longer felt good about working with Barclay’s and that I would be in to retrieve my rings.

Imagine my shock when I arrived at the store two days later and there was Tara, the sick jewellery designer. She appeared to not recognize me (although we’d spent nearly an hour together the previous week) and asked for my last name to return my rings. Hiroko approached and apologized again and asked if I wanted to see a quote they’d developed. I was absolutely incredulous at this point and Tara still did not speak or apologize. I declined to see the quote and left.

I am extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and strange behaviour displayed at what appeared to be a high-end jewellery store.

I'd lost an emerald from my great grandmother's ring and was upset about that. Barclays came highly recommended! They fixed the ring and evaluated it, finding some other issues which they repaired. Not only was I satisfied but when I actually found the missing emerald on the floor of my car some months later, they helped me design a ring for it with marvellous coloured stones so doubly pleased. Customer service, excellent work and imaginative design. Very happy.

I had a super experience with Barclays! I had a custom diamond ring designed and from start to finish everything was really well executed from ordering in the stones to creating a wax mold and finally the delivery of the finished product. Hiroko & Geoff were so warm, welcoming and easy going. So nice to have this gem (pun intended ;) in the local neighbourhood!

After having a ring converted to a pendant and earrings by another jeweller whereby my 17 diamond stones were largely replaced by incorrect substitutes and the work completed was very suboptimal, I was recommended by a friend to seek out Barclay’s Fine Jewellers to redo the work and ensure that my stones were collected and used. Barclay’s evaluated the retrieved stones to be sure they matched the appraisal I had of the ring some 40 yrs ago, then designed and sent me a computerized picture of what they ascertained from my desire and feedback. The result was a spectacularly beautiful pendant so similar in appearance to the original ring that I adored and was admired by a leading diamond cutter in Belgium. Thank you “Barclay” for your honesty, integrity and respectful attitude toward me in correcting this incredulous error by another jeweller. I will certainly trust futher purchases from Barclay’s Jewellers.

I can't say enough good things about Hiroko, Geoffrey and the whole team at Barclay's. Hiroko was fantastic to deal in selecting an engagement ring and I couldn't be happier with the quality of service and product we received. They also helped us out with a unique request on very short notice and to our surprise they went above and beyond to make it happen. Thanks again!

I brought my wife's ring in after the diamond fell out. It needed more work than we thought but every detail as to why was explained. The repair took a little longer than anticipated due to the amount of repairs needed but was very much worth the wait.
The ring came back better than new at a reasonable price and the service was exceptional.

I bought a pair of diamond studs for my granddaughter’s graduation today. The young woman who looked after me (I wish I had asked her name) was polite, pleasant and extremely helpful. She boxed them in a beautiful box and then wrapped them absolutely beautifully. It was a lovely, positive experience and I’ll be back soon! Dawn Cameron

I went into Barclay's to have an antique silver necklace cleaned and repaired. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and I enjoyed that first visit a great deal. The jeweller provided me with a quote and gave me a timeline for the repair. The job was finished faster than expected at the agreed price and the end result was absolutely wonderful. The necklace looks better than I ever thought possible. I am very pleased with their work!

Great people working here and they are very willing to work with you to find a solution for what you are interested in purchasing. The company they go through to finance is the only less than ideal part of buying from barclay's. In terms of satisfaction with the product and the employees, I would rate 5 stars.

Fantastic, friendly service! The company I work for had a couple of watches they wanted engraved with our logo. We had a short time frame of a week to have the work done. We dropped the watches off and the next day they were ready and the logo looked amazing! Talk about great service! Also, on their website there is a section to ask a question and they will text you back with the reply! This was a really helpful feature in my experience!

My husband and I went to Barclay's Fine Jewellers last year before we got married. We brought some of our ideas to Sarah, the designer, and she was very creative in her interpretation of what the wedding bands could look like. The final design was breathtaking. My wedding rings could not have been any more spectacular. My husband had a specific design in mind and Sarah created his ring exactly how he had envisioned it. Being an artist himself says a lot for Sarah's competence and talent. Any time I went to this store, and still as of yesterday, I feel valued and respected.

From the time I entered Barclay's, I was helped. I use a walker and whoever was present, came to open the door for me. I found that to be very gracious.
My 42 year old estate ring, 18 karat gold, with diamonds and a tourmaline, had broken and I hoped to obtain some cash for it. I had found a silver ring at Eclectic Gallery and I wanted a blue topaz to be attached to it. I received money off of my new ring, which I was grateful for.
Well, they told me 3 weeks and it was done in 2 weeks. I picked it up this morning, it is all I had hoped for.
I would recommend Barclay's to anyone.

What a pleasant experience shopping at Barclay’s is. From being greeted immediately upon entering the store to first class jewelry, I treasure everything I have purchased from Barclays. They even polish my well loved jewelry, offer refreshments, and I look forward to future visits with Geoffrey and the fine Barclay’s team. I have also designed my own jewelry with them, had items in for consignment and had finite repairs. Their no pressure, very classy approach had me voting them as Victoria’s Number One Jeweller.
