Barefoot Villas Cabins & Hotel in Christina Lake

Not exactly "pet friendly. " I stayed in a designated pet cabin, paid the pet fee and then read the rules that dog could not go on the bed. Don't they wash the linens? I brought a blanket for dog to put on top. My dog did sleep on floor on her pillow but there is not much room inside. Also, bring slippers if you stay in the fall as my feet were frozen. Shower and washroom are tiny and I kept hitting my elbows trying to wash my hair and dry off. The shower temperature is also quite finicky to set. Had to keep shutting off the water to try a different setting; shouldn't need that much work.

Our son was getting married in Christina Lake, so many months ago we booked a couple of the cabins and several rooms for ourselves and family/friends. Checking in was easy; they sent us a text with a map of where our cabin was located and we could just enter the cabin without any fuss or muss. Because we had several family members and friends staying as well, we were able to see all of the cabins and rooms that were rented by our family and friends, and can say that all of the accommodations were immaculate, clean and tidy. All have been updated and modern with personal touches from the owners or their children. Some are very small and compact, but they have made good use of all the space. The fridges are apartment size and not bar fridges. We rented the Caribou Cabin, (Cabin #3) Our stove was fairly new and full sized which was perfect for us. I had arrived early in the week before the wedding and had to work for a day upon arrival. The internet was fast and I had no issues logging into my laptop.

The owners were very friendly and accommodating to our large group. We held a day after wedding barbeque on the property in front of the Cabin and we had approximately 50 people come and "hang out" for the day and into the evening. The owners brought us extra tables and chairs and were very helpful and accommodating to our needs and requests for irons, ice and wood/propane, etc.

Our son booked the Kodiak room for himself and his Bride for the wedding night. The owners had a little basket for them with some Barefoot Wine, chocolate and a hand drawn picture of a bride and groom, which was placed in their room before their arrival. It was very sweet, kind and very personable. We felt they went above and beyond in assisting us and just let us enjoy our friends and family without any interference, but they were there if we needed anything at all.

This lovely place is a gem. We will definitely go back and stay there again when we visit our son and his new wife in the Grand Forks/Christina Lake area.

They were accommodating, friendly, and helpful! The room was clean and comfortable!

My wife and I spent a night at the Villas while we were passing through Christina Lake and had a lovely stay. The accommodations were clean and perfect for a couple looking for a place to stay while visiting Christina Lake. I would highly recommend if you are looking for an affordable place to call home base while you are visiting the lake community.

We had a lovely stay at Barefoot Villas September 8-10. It was very clean and quiet and it had a fully stocked kitchen. We’ll definitely be back.

We loved our stay at Barefoot Villas! The staff are so friendly, accommodating and they truly go above and beyond. The rooms are very clean and nicely renovated. The location is awesome, quiet and a short walk to the beach. We look forward to coming back next year! Highly recommend staying here.

Great location on Christina Lake perfect after a long day of travelling. The room was immaculately clean and well prepared. The bed was very comfortable. The air condition unit was very effective and extremely quiet. Almost impossible to hear it. Great shower with good pressure. Very friendly staff. We'd stay here again for sure!

I stayed over the long weekend, and despite renting one of the small rooms they have to offer, I was impressed by the cleanliness and how tidy everything was. It's rare to find such a thing here in British Columbia without paying a premium. The staff was amicable and gave us some excellent tips about the surroundings. I definitely plan to recommend this place to my friends.

Christina Lake rocks, Park Lane rocks and Jay the owner rocks. Nuff said.

Booked last minute and what a treat our stay ended up being. Only stayed one night, but we had a great experience. Staff was super friendly, room was very clean. The recent update really shows the care being put into the resort. Look forward to coming back and strongly recommend for the price.

Awesome! We loved our unit for our family of 4. Inside is updated, fresh, and practical. Outside is cozy and comfortable. Staff are amazing and very friendly. Will definitely return, just don't book the same time we want to go please.

My wife and I stay here each year. Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Just a block from the beach.

We stayed 3 nights in Cabin # 3 (Caribou) at Barefoot Villas. The cabin was very clean and newly renovated. We loved the atmosphere and was very comfortable. The air conditioning (can tell it was a newer unit) worked very well which was extremely important as it was very hot outside. The internet was excellent. Newer appliances: Big fridge, microwave and newer stove plus TV's in the bedrooms was also a nice touch. A few days before they emailed a map which was very helpful at check in. The owners are super friendly and very accommodating. Definitely recommend it if visiting Christina Lake.

We had a great one-night stay at Barefoot Villas. We just got the basic room with a queen bed and microwave/fridge, with a patio table and chairs to enjoy sitting outside. Everything was clean and tidy. The location was perfectly peaceful. Just a short walk down to the small beach, or a short drive to the Provincial park and other great hiking spots. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again and maybe upgrade.

(Side note: Ask the staff for the best locations for everything and DON’T eat at Portly Penguin Pizza! We ate there before asking them. It’s the worst) :)

We had a wonderful stay for the Canada Day long weekend at Barefoot Villas! We booked a tenting site and were so happy with how it turned out. It was in a beautifully shaded spot and had water, power, and wifi. We could comfortably set up our large tent and outdoor gazebo with lots of room left over for a fire. Darren and Sri were both wonderful hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their level of attention was definitely far more than you will traditionally get in a campground or RV park. There were clean bathrooms and showers available for free, which was a bonus. You can purchase firewood and ice from the office, another handy aspect. The resort itself is in a great location, just down the street to the beach, which we walked to daily and very close to all the amenities, restaurants, liquor store, gas station, visitor center, and the larger public beach. We will definitely be back, as these hosts made our trip that much better. Highly recommend!

If you are in Christina Lake I highly recommend Barefoot Villas. I stayed in a beautiful cabin. Very clean and newly renovated. There was a hot tub, a barbecue, and its steps to the lake! The owners are super friendly and very accommodating. Our stay was a 10/10! It was the perfect getaway!

We were greeted with a warm welcome by the family, the resort was so quiet and well maintained. We arguably had some of the best sleeps of our life. The resort is close to many amenities including pickleball which we love. We can’t wait to come back next year again! Would highly recommend, can’t wait to try out the beautiful cabins next time.

This was my first time in Christina Lake and we will definitely be back to stay at Barefoot Villas. Clean, well maintained rooms, quiet, walking/biking distance to everything you need, and the family was very welcoming. Great spot for a relaxing family getaway. Thank you for a great experience!
