Food was absolutely incredible but seriously, what is with the servers at this place? I got a snotty, rude, stuck up jackass of a waiter when I went this past Sunday
He was a bald, darker skin, man, cant remember his name but I swear, it's like he wanted there to be a problem. He clearly hates his job and dosent want to be there.

Some friends and I came for Karaoke this past Wednesday and our server Melissa was just lovely! She was funny and kind and was on top of things all night.

The angus burger was THE best burger I have had in well…maybe ever. Not even kidding. Juicy (yet not too much so) and dressed up perfectly with spices that complimented so well. Mmmm

The karaoke was a lot of fun also, The unassuming host opened things up with a big booming rapid fire kinda radio announcer voice. So fun! And he was even and fair with his rotation of singers

I love the vibe here and will for sure visit again when I come back to the Okanagan.

Great service and great food is a good place to relax have food and drinks with friends no change qwesome food

The manager was exceptionally rude. Apparently a table was reserved although there was no reserved sign. After sitting down the manager rudely snarled that no one could sit there as it was reserved. It would have been so easy to say "I'm sorry but this table is reserved so please let me help you to another table". But apparently being rude to seniors is more his cup of tea.

Dec. 10/22 - Saturday night, karaoke. Not too busy from 8 pm to 10 pm. Our server was initially friendly, but her weariness got the best of her. After being treated like a hassle in her day, we did as little as possible with her.
Consequently, we decided against any food.
Environment is otherwise comfortably designed. Great place to meet folks for one drink.
Perhaps we will try again on a different night, when the "friendly" waitress isn't on duty.

Everyone may be struggling with new staff. But the services was aweful. Waitress that argue with patrons and also were rude! Save your money and your time. Go elsewhere.

Went to the Barley mill last friday and had an awful experience. My friend ordered a round of shots and when i got my bill i noticed the shot was on my bill and a pop, I Did Not Order a Shot or a pop, I told the server my bill was wrong and all she said to me was "You Drank It" over and over again. Correct me if i am wrong but to my knowledge whoever ordered shots or a drink from the server is the person who pays for it? I Was Gutted and it ruined our night, i havent slept right since. I Will Never Go There Again!

Went here because I have eaten here before and it was pretty good. This time, the fries tasted moldy, thought it was just me so tried eating a couple more and the taste was really strong so I asked the other person dining with me to try one and they tried it and spit it out as well. At the point, I was scared to eat my food so I forgoed the second half of my sandwich and all the fries, I already ate the first half of my sandwich before trying the fries. Server seemed disinterested she did give a 20% off but it took her forever to even come to my table to check on us so I just sat there watching my friend eat while my stomach turned. Side note the fries were also cold and not crispy kinda stale but I didn't really care the moldy thing is what really got me. I'm not sure what happened because I've eaten here before and I really enjoyed it. I don't think I will eat here again. I think I would have been more understanding if a solution was provided but she just kinda said okay and took my plate away.

The best long island ice teas! The atmosphere and the food was really good. Our waitress was really good too.
But did I mention the long it island ice teas? They are really good.

Wonderful location. Excellent staff and a bug thank you to Nicole. Her assistance in keeping the orders straight during our families Engagement celebration, was amazing. We had a blast. Best nachos in town.

Great pub. But, don.t order the Potato skins. $15.00 for one small potato. Fish and chips looked good, or the special.

The Barley Mill offers fun entertainment like trivia, cards, movie night and Karaoke in addition to good food and a comfortable atmosphere.

Usually love this place but.
Tonight I had family from Vienna in town. Table for 7. Everyone got their food except me. Waitress apologized and told me it was coming up soon. It never did. I watched my family finish eating I approached the waitress to ask about my meal. She apologized and asked me if I wanted it to go.for free. I reluctantly agreed. Got my meal but it was not what i ordered. I got fish and chips. I originally ordered a chicken burger with beer battered fries. I accepted it anyway because my family wanted to leave and I was starving. Next time I have a group of family in town I will not be taking them to the Barley Mill.

Always a "Go too Place" in Penticton! Great food and service! Had the Sirloin steak special with Prawns tonight! AWESOME! The flatbread pizza is a great appitizer also! Cheers!

After finding most places closed on a Tues night (and huge line up at one of the few that were not), headed south in Penticton to an old fav; and was not disappointed!

greeted by friendly staff who apologized for only having an appy menu; but then was pleasantly surprised. Kitchen agreed to accommodate the few late and night stragglers that were wandering in, and offered full menu! Went with the classic Fish and Chips; delicious batter, cooked to perfection, loved the side caesar and offerings of 2 different vinegars. Efficient friendly staff who all seem like they enjoy their jobs.a pleasant treat in this day and age

Food was fantastic but we waited 30 minutes to get our bill. She walked by so many times saying she would be right with us.but no bill and the order I put in to take home was soggy because it sat in a plastic bag for those 30 minutes. Give you 2 for the great burger

I went to the liquor store few nights ago with about 5 ish minutes left until close after enjoying some delicious food and drinks at the pub. As we enter the liquor store the girl working showed terrible customer service and counted down every single minute left until they had to close and said it as she did not want our service at all. As we walk out the door she slams it shut and had a few words to say which I couldn’t catch. But, I was very dissatisfied with how she conducted that customer experience and management should look into this as customers shouldn’t be treated in this manner when all they are doing is supporting your business

Good food reasonably priced, friendly staff, on a Wednesday night food arrived promptly. Tables are too close together

The food was magnificent and it was a great night for sitting out on their large patio. The batter on my fish and chips was crisp and light, and fantastic! There was alot of beef on my boyfriend's beef dip and it was really tasty! We have definitely added the Barley Mill Brew Pub to our list of restaurants to eat at when we come back to Penticton in Sept.

Rude waitstaff (who were openly bickering with each other on the restaurant floor) and mediocre food. I do NOT recommend this place.

Good beer and good food! The Beer battered fries are worth the upgrade and they have a awesome veggie burger!

The fish and chips here are to die for, so far the best I've tried in BC! The service was stellar as well, and Declan was an actual angel!:)

Love Barley Mill! The best Long Island Iced Tea I have ever had. Love the staff and the food too!

Wanting to support a local business during Covid, I ordered take out from the Barley Mill. I went in to pick up my order and was extremely disappointed to see upon entering that the bartender was not wearing a mask. Nor was the gentleman who started getting my food together. The server was wearing a face shield but not a properly mandated mask. In fact the only staff member who was wearing a proper mask was the cook, thankfully. Unfortunately, I’m sorry to say that I will not be able to support the Barley Mill any further during these times.

One of my favourite places to eat in town! The staff are excellent, as is the food. My go-tos are the spinach dip, Barley burger, and french dip. Always get the brew fries! Their drinks are equally excellent. I always order a long island or a caesar. Give them a visit - their huge patio is open and heated!

My wife and I have been struggling through COVID as many other families have. We had finally managed to be able to order out once a month to support our local restaurants. Tonight, she decided to order from the Barley Mill. She placed an order through their online to go page. Over an hour went by and she never received any confirmation for pick up so, she called. They said, it would take another 15 more minutes. Straight away she called back and she then asked if she could cancel the order (they obviously hadn’t cooked it as it was just one dish) and they said they didn’t know how to do that nor refund her because they couldn’t see the online order and that their manager would come tomorrow and would give her a call back. So my wife, tired and hungry just decided to go ahead with it anyway, they THEN said it was going to take another 20 to 25 minutes. Can you imagine the frustration?

She went in to pick it up (it didn't seem that they were busy at all so we don't understand such delay) They weren’t apologetic at all. The waitress that greeted her at the door and proceeded to bring her food over had HER MASK PULLED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO HER CHIN. My question to the owner is: how is this upholding any precautions through the pandemic? (as a reply from an above bad review says and I wish we had seen before ordering) We will be throwing that meal away tonight.

We used to be regulars pre-covid but sadly, we will never be ordering from the Barley Mill again nor be encouraging anyone to order here. What a huge disappointment.

Defiantly a must visit, me and the guys had an amazing meal before our trip back to vernon, beautiful staff amazing food, check it out

Dinning out should be an experience, not here is your drink takes your order, here is your order, would you like another drink, or your bill?

Great service excellent food and drinks!
Actually put alcohol in alcoholic drinks! Not a ripoff like other places. Food came surprisingly quick but was not prepared like fast food, it was like qourmet! Good prices for great food! Staff actually warns their tips. Remember what you ask for and gets it promptly and there were no empty tables in the place. You can tell they genuinely like working there!

Sunday was 2 piece cod fish and chips $12.99 good value and portion. Would be nice if they had the fire on where we where sitting.

Love the ambiance, wine was good. Wings were a bit dry, unfortunately. But will definitely be back for drinks and a good time

Showed up and we were greeted from our server named Cori, she's absolutely AMAZING and felt like she was a friend. Her attention to detail and kind service was beyond our expectations.

We'd def go back and recommend this place just to visit Cori.

Ambiance is great! Very rustic. We liked the calamari. The sangria is good. We got ours without fruit. Also tried the cranberry spinach Flatbread.
