Barra 41

The four of us collectively agreed this was the worst service we’ve experienced in years. The server was a teenager with a bratty attitude who should not be employed by any restaurant. We arrived at 4pm and ordered a round of drinks and food. By 445 we had no food and empty drinks. We politely called the server over to order more drinks before happy hour ended and since our food had not arrived. The server acted like we were doing something wrong by asking if we could order another round. We clearly did not and were extremely polite she was just a bratty little rich girl who doesn’t need a job so she acts like everything is an inconvenience. Hopefully in the future they give these jobs to people who actually need to work and will do a good job. The calamari and caprese salad were both mediocre at best. Horrible experience.

A favourite bar in Vancouver for light snacks & aperitifs. Barra 41 is the bar attached to Minerva's Greek restaurant (which has been around forever) and serves the same great quality food from it's kitchen. All the food & beer on tap is good, and you can also order from the restaurant menu. The atmosphere & service of this bar takes Barra the next levrl. Highly recommended and worth the trip to karisdale. Happy hour specials are offered daily from 3 - 5 PM.

Very busy during dinner time.

Can't give more, the ceasar salad had to much garlic, tasted that the whole meal and after. Wife's Greek salad was soggy and only tasted like oil. I had the lamb chops. More like lamb popcorn, small small appetizer like.was enough for 3 bites (3 small racks) Was cooked nice, seasoned ok. ($41 haha never again). Wifey had the lamb shoulder. Mostly fatty, could good bites but not worth $31.

Clean establishment, server was nice, waitress was pleasant. Another 1 person keeping the water filled, clearing there section, and always watching and waiting to take your plate when done. This is why the rating is better.

Excellent Greek Food and cocktails in this loud and lively place. Very good service.

So great. Great food, great drinks, really really great people, reasonable prices. Need 6 stars for this one.

Update 2022-07-12: it has changed, perhaps due to COVID? Anyway, not for the worse! Menu is now shared with Minerva's next door. There is an outside patio on Balsam St. Food drinks and service still of the same high quality. Still recommended.

Happy Hour is well attended with decent deals on food and drinks.

Minerva's is located within, so you get 2 places to choose from, and mostly the same dishes are served in both sides.

Clean, friendly service and fresh food.

Family owned and operated.
