About a year ago I had an emergency in my building that I manage and called Bartec Fire Safety. They responded immediately and sent someone out to deal with our emergency. The staff was very nice, very experienced and knew EXACTLY what to do and efficiently. We were so Impressed by the service manager Chris Myles and his team that we have had them come on board and manage our building ever since. We recently had another emergency, and once again Chris and his team were there to help us out!

I tried for an hour to place a system on test. Sat on hold for half an hour receiver picked up and hung up, tried again same result. I do not recommend using Bartec for your fire alarm monitoring and will be considering a report to the ULC monitoring inspector for these repeated issues.

No problem, I will gladly write a review that explains the one star. I backed into a fire extinguisher box with my car a couple of months ago and damaged it. The extinguisher was untouched. Something that seemed pretty straight forward to replace, I went instantly to report what I had done. Fast forward to last week, I noticed the box had been fixed and then noticed a nice invoice from your company. I was charged for the box, of course, and also charged a service fee of more than double what it cost to replace the damaged box. Seeing as one of your service vans are at my building weekly, I’m wondering how labor intensive it is to change the box that you installed? For the record, I have no problem paying as I was the one who damaged the product. In fact, it was paid right away. If paying over $200 for the service alone is what you call reasonable, I am in the wrong profession.

We are a 24 unit strata complex and today was the first time using Bartec for annual testing of fire safety equipment. We were very impressed by the professionalism of the crew, the quickness of their work and the pleasant mannerism. We will definitely be using them for all our future servicing.

A driver very nearly hit me (a cyclist) at ~60km/h on SFU. I'm still combing through video footage to find evidence.

Update: per below, they take safety seriously. I was ASTOUNDED at the obliviousness of this employee. I literally rode along next to his driver-side window looking at him for 5 seconds before braking so he didn't run me over. How does a person "merge" without looking out their driver-side window? And, honestly, I'd prefer the driver were let-go since this sort of behavior is far too common and not enforced by the police.
