Service was quick and pleasant. Portion was generous for laksa. Would have liked the thick egg noodle included as laksa usually has and not just thin rice noodle but tasty overall and good value.

We have not yet been disappointed here! Food tastes amazing and comes very quickly. Service is prompt, and you can tell they pay attention to the small details.

Food was good and average sized but we found it a little pricey. $18 large pho and $11.50 for a salad roll.

Very inconsistent dishes they put out for take out. Hit and miss as to being cooked properly. If you mention it to them they make a big deal even though I’m a weekly customer. Blew me off and then the dish I ordered which you can’t go wrong ruining gyogza they barely steamed and not even pan fried it. Barely any sauce on it. It almost tasted raw. So Basil Leaf you just lost a weekly customer. Enjoy your couple weeks of tourist season but you just lost a local regular customer!

I've been looking forward to eating here for a while now, but I have to admit I'm disappointed. I'm 90% vegan, and there were only three vegetarian/ vegan options on the entire menu.

I ordered the vegan salad rolls but was disappointed they only came w lettuce, carrots, and cucumber with noodles in the wrap. No tofu or other meat alternatives for protein. They were about a 3/10 overall. The Thai chili dip was very thick and the rolls fell apart when I tried to dip them.

Hopefully they can find ways to make dishes with options for no fish sauce
and w Tofu for protein please, so we vegetarians and vegans can enjoy Pad Thai (options for no egg) and curries and rice and noodles dishes. Many other restaurants offer these. Some even offer vegan broth for pho, but I understand that's a large change. The small change of sauces with no fish sauce and with Tofu for protein should be easy? Love the atmosphere and staff. Would like to come back.

Food s are taste better at Guang and Yamato, we order crispy tofu and briaket Pho. $2,5 more ex compare to other Vietnam restaurants for largo Pho and The crispy tofu $3 more ex. But The environment and interior is better here.

Came here for a late lunch. Clean environment, friendly staff, and quick service. The lemongrass chicken was delicious! Juicy with good flavours. Will come back to try other things in the future.

I came in one day, weary of the world beating me down. I was lost, the ground was cold, but my fantastic server Laura offered such warmth and joy that her service brought a smile to an old sinners face. The food was beyond excellent, I saw the face of God in my spring rolls, and I wept with joy. I think about my meal here regularly, I will definitely return next time the wind blows in the certain kind of way.

As someone who travelled in Vietnam and ate pho everyday, this was super underwhelming. The pho didn’t taste like the real deal at all and was super boring. Also very pricey. Served with the smallest little portion of herbs and one lime piece. Lacking satisfying flavour.

Apparently owners are Chinese so not true Vietnamese. The young lady server was very kind and sweet, the only positive point of this experience.

Music was fast and stressful, the vibes were off.

The Asian lady was weird and rude, didn’t say hi. I went to my car and came back 15min later asking to use the wifi and she refused to give me the password. She said i wasn’t “there anymore”. I insisted saying I just ate there and she reluctantly gave the code. Wifi wasn’t even working anyways. Boring.

Was excited to try this place after hearing good things. Was extremely disappointed. Staff was rude. First they brought my friends dish then I waited for mine, got mine a few minutes later, then my son waited 12 minutes after we got our food to get his food and when I told the server we were missing a dish we was rude and said it's coming, I get things get busy but she wasn't even apologetic. My dish was over fried and dry, same with my son's. Server didn't even Apologize for the late dish or ask how the food was or even check on us once. Definitely won't be back. She gave us a dirty look when we didn't tip. What do you expect for that treatment? Yikes.

Very family friendly restaurant. It's clean and spacious. The food are tasty, I liked the lemon grass beef noodle, Laska, coconut shrimp, the Stir fry tofu.

Was very good. I had the beef ball pho and my gf had the lemon grass pho. Ordered them extra spicy. We were both quite happy. Both had to still add spice. But were both very delicious We also ordered a dry and fresh spring roll. The fried were delicious but the fresh rolls the meat was very dry and splintered We were not impressed at all.do not get the bbqed fresh spring roll.as for the pho the sprouts were in there when served wich also was not very nice as we like nice crunchy sprouts served on the side and I felt I had not bin givin enough. So ask for ur sprouts ok the side. No place I've ever bin to does that. Other than those few things to watch out for it was great. The place is nice and stylish. We enjoyed our meal.

If you're looking for legit Pho, this is the place!

I was surprised how good the pho broth tasted. Good balance of spice and beef fatty goodness. I order the Sate Pho, amazing good. Light, spicy, with a good hint of lemongrass. This is as OG as it gets. If you're looking for the thick peanut sate, this is not it. I'm usually a big fan of the thicker sate broth but this is freshening and light. Good ratio of meat and noodles. Of all the pho places I visited in Canada, this place gives you jalapeno peppers with basil as a side garnish, love it! Gives you the nostalgic feeling of how Pho is served in the US.

Super friendly staff and excellent service.

Service was decent, but the food was honestly.horrendous. We had Pad Thai and Sesame Chicken and it was honestly really bad (hate to say it). The pad thai tasted like ketchup and it was really bad to the point where we only took two bites. The sesame chicken is what you get at fake chinese restaurants served on rice and lettuce. The food can definitely be improved if the menu was recreated. But as of right now, it was a really bad experience and a big disappoint espicially since we were visiting and it was our only lunch at Kelowna.

TOTAL Bad service. Servers are neglecting selective customers. The service attitude of employees directly affects the reputation. There are two young waiters, one male and one female. The male lacks enthusiasm and smiles, but it is acceptable. The female is just telling you in her behavior that you 're not welcome, totally unacceptable. I feel that I will never step into this restaurant again in the future. Most importantly, the attitude of of the servers and mediocre quality of food affects the reputation BIG TIME

We ordered vermicelli bowl today, they don’t know how to cook the vermicelli and it was really tough to chew, it tastes like they forgot to boil and put the soaked vermicelli directly in the bowl… very disappointed.
The pho was good, the soup base was flavourful and they are serving the beef raw the right way. Service was efficient.

Food is always so good and the wide variety is really nice especially when going with multiple people who all have different interests. I love the pho and the laksa

Was very rude on the phone and after I ordered it I reconfirmed my order and she seemed super irritated that I repeated it. But after all she got the order wrong (even after reconfirming 3 times). I ordered the “Special Beef” pho (exactly what it’s called on the menu) and received a vermicelli dish instead.

It's good for a quick bite but the food was just OK. The pad thai was rather bland, mostly noodles and the curry was watery. If you love Asian food you would do best to seek out some of the other delicious Thai and Vietnamese Restaurants in Kelowna

The food was alright there and the portions were decent. We ordered the Chicken Pad Thai, the shrimp rolls, and the vegetable rolls which were good. It was convenient as we were staying in the same hotel in the parking lot and we went there the last time we were in town. The service was good. Only really complaint was it was hot in there but we are in the middle of heat wave so it's not really their fault. Would go back.

Incredibly disappointed in my food and treatment today the waitress refused to serve me in the restaurant. Instead treating me as a second class citizenhaving to pay outside. The meal was actually disappointing, as i was here under a recommendation of my boss. The veggies were fresh but the beef was so minuscule and tough almost grisly in all 3 of the meals we got and the shrimp was tough and rubbery

Wildly mediocre and overpriced. The green curry and shrimp rolls were flavorless, the ribs were dry and looked unappetizing and the Singapore noodles were horrendous. This place is only open due to its proximity to two hotels and the lack of knowledge of unsuspecting tourists. I suggest you avoid.

There was a lot of good reviews for this place and I am so disappointed with the food. My boyfriend and I ordered the shrimp summer rolls, Thai curry, and noodles and they were frankly flavourless. The good reviews were very misleading and I wouldn't recommend this place.

My partner and I come here every time we're in the area because their Spicy Lemongrass Pho is so hard to beat!
Their broth is delicious and refreshing.
Service is also lovely, attentive, and they are quick!

The food was good. They brought my man's food to another table but quickly recovered. He was super disappointed in his meal. The server took our food away hastily to get us to leave it seems, as my man would've finished mine.

Quite disappointed by the quality and service. Who ever made the post saying best laksa soup in town is very wrong that title belongs to mad mango. Will never eat here again.

Basil Leaf has been a favourite of mine since they first started up. Would give 6 stars if I could.

They have the best pho I have ever come across. Ingredients are always fresh and of the best quality available.

Service-they are gracious and always smiling. Professionals at what they do.

Food is good but I find it to be a little overpriced. Two salad rolls for $7 is on the high end especially because the peanut sauce for them was mediocre. That’s more like 3.50. I make these at home its not that pricey. Nevertheless great atmosphere in there, could do without the temperature check not sure that it will prove anything it the temperature was hot but hey I guess if it makes you guys feel safe.

I don't understand why all the 5 stars. Had takeout and was harrassed because of not wearing a mask even only to pick up the food, while to my left and right within a couple of feet were people sitting at the table with no mask. And temperature checks? What if I just had a jog over to the restaurant? I don't get food until I cool off? Covid ceases to be an issue if you sit down? The food was not good. The server wanted to get into an interrogation on why I don't have a mask and said she couldn't serve me the takeout. She eventually reluctantly handed me the takeout. So if I don't have a mask and it could be for a variety of good reasons I shouldn't get food even though I've paid? Makes no sense. Coming from Vancouver, I have been blessed to experience the varying degree of high quality Asian food. I guess for Kelowna this is considered good. However, I was not impressed by the ginger beef at all. Would not feed to my dog. Could have had a better frozen microwaved from the supermarket freezer that tasted better than this. Laaksa was just okay.

Response: your justification for the way the staff harassed me is appalling. If you believe masks are black and white issue, and clearly the government has said they are not, then this is the result. Total ignorance. I've frequented other reputable businesses in the area and was not harassed as I did at your restaurant. Say whatever you want to but the entire covid-19 situation has been highly politicized. Your treatment of customers will not go unnoticed. It may take a while but customers are key to any successful business. The only harassing going on was your staff towards those who may not be able to wear the mask. Read the mask mandate again as you clearly don't know what it says based on your insensitive response and have clearly instructed your staff to treat customers in this way. I would never harass anyone as I respect people if they choose to wear a mask or not. I would nevertheless never recommend a business such as yours based on the food quality and the ignorant response to the the way your business unfairly treats their customers; especially during this time. Your mask mandate agenda is obviously more important than the actual service and quality of food. You think your restaurant is the standard for covid procedures and safety? Makes me want to throw up. Negative stars if possible. Get your priorities right and start treating customer's better or you'll be out of business sooner than you'll know. Btw. Is your staff going to be handing out fines now too? What a joke of a restaurant in so many ways.

Love their spring rolls! Always get an extra to add in your vermicelli! Great spacing for Covid prevention measures made things extra comfortable.

Hand sanitizer at entrance and temperature check. Staff wore masks. Tables were staggered. Friendly hostess and very pleasant and attentive waitress. The salad rolls arrived quickly as did the lemongrass beef pho. Very tasty. A great dining experience overall.

Great ginger beef and the pho soup was very good. Doing a great job of proper COVID procedures. I’ll be back for sure.

Ordered the grilled beef vermicelli through door dash and it was delicious! This was my first order from them, and definitely will order again.

The staff was very clueless, even about the own menu, and was more tentative to the Skip the Dish drivers than those dinning in. 3 out of 5 things we ordered was not available. The food was very average.

This restaurant sell a mixture of Thai and Vietnamese food. We ordered both and it was extremely disappointing! We ordered green curry and was charged an extra $4 because we wanted shrimp for protein, we were never informed that on the phone. We also ordered pad thai and it was tasteless. Their special box was the only thing that was edible. The rest we could barely eat. The green curry we got charge extra barely had any green curry taste. I would not reccomend anyone coming to this restaurant and spend your money here. Take it from an Asian who eats Asian food every day that the food here is not good!

We ordered a wonderful meal from Basil Leaf last night. Lemongrass chicken, ginger beef, gyoza, sesame chicken, pad Thai etc. Delicious. We are already thinking of our next order. Thank you for the top quality meal.

Hidden in a small plaza next to to hotels, this place was better than expected. I'm not a fan of fusion food so I went with the rare beef pho soup. Soup tasted really good, and despite it looking a bit small for a large size, it was more than filling. The honey lemon tea drink was great, but $4.50 for a cup that is half ice? !? Damn that's expensive.

When we first arrive we didn't expect a lot. Was totally surprised when we received the food. Ordered a laksa and lemon grass pho for brunch today. Both soup noodle broths are extremely rich and flavorful. Great balance of spice and sharpness of the lemongrass. The thick base layer for the broth adds extra intensity to the flavour profile. Great use of ingredients. One small thing I'll recommend is maybe adding a little more veggies to the dish. Extremely great value for what you're getting. This will definitely be one of my top options if I am craving laksa and lemongrass again.

Incredibly quick yet professional service, reasonably priced, and top-notch dishes! Great kind-of modern, simplistic dining atmosphere too!

My laksa was served not more than 10 minutes and it was hands down amazing! Not too salty nor too tasty—it was just right. The large portion was about right for me but it may not be enough for guys bigger than 5' 7" Asian like me. It was one of my rare occasions that I left an extra tip for a pleasant experience!

Really good food. Their soups are amazing. The noodle bowls and the salad rolls are really good too. The staff are really friendly and helpful as well.

Service is good and quick. Lemongrass Pho is good, but I like thin sliced beef better, personal preference.
Laksa is beyond my expectation, I will recommend it.

Appies were great (goyza / ginger beef). Laksa wasn't very spicy though and the tofu was a bit mushy. Other friends food was good. Service was good but they were extremely busy so it was hard for our waitress to keep up with drinks / bills.

The Basil Leaf provides a cross-section of Asian Foods and is one of the few places in town that makes good Ginger Beef. We've been a few times now and have brought family and friends. Everyone is loved the different options for food.

Stopped in for lunch and place was pretty busy. Ordered the Spicy Lemon Grass Pho and Yellow Curry. Both were very good. Service was also friendly and attentive. Only downside is the parking. It was difficult to get a parking spot as a very small amount of spaces are allotted to the restaurants and other stores.
