Bateman Park

Terrific grass soccer pitches with lots of capacity for three full field games. Lovely off-leash dog park that has trails that follow the meandering flow of Stoney Creek. A few well kept foot bridges for people and dogs to cross. Well worth the visit!

Great place for a walk. Unfortunately when I last visited some of the bridges along Stoney Creek were still out from the 2021 flooding.

Love it here. This park seems to have more dogs than the others I’ve been too if you’re looking for a place to socialize your dog.

Nice way home here. Not too long and a few soccer fields at the party. There's a nice stream running in the area. Signs say the stream has salmon and trout. If you're looking for a nice casual walk, this is a good place.

ABSOLUTELY love this place. My dogs and kids love it too. Huge open area for dogs to roam and a nice walk too.

Large fenced in off-leash area right off Bateman (just before Wright Street). A little muddy when it rains. (OK - a lot muddy! Be prepared to give your pooch a bath when you get home.) No clean water for dogs - make sure to bring your own. EDIT: Clean water taps now, at the east entrance, just bring a bowl. There is lots of space for pups to run around. PLUS there is a great wooded trail to wander if your doggie is obedient and friendly off-leash.

Nice playground for young children. Lots of soccer fields and a beautiful walk beside a stream.
Good dog park close by.

Still a lovely park to spend some time walking through, but our latest weather has caused a washout, which has lead to closing the path halfway through. Hopefully that is not for long.

We love taking our dogs here for a walk. Very enjoyable for us a very enjoyable for them

Quiet shady path along a small stream. Frequented by people with their dogs.good friendly folk.

Nice park, soccer fields.there's a small club house kitchen thats open for fund raisers once in a while. I go here to watch my cousins play soccer. 1 field is fenced in, usally call that field 'the cage'

This is park is super cute. It's tucked away but it's a nice dog park. Definitely worth checking out.

One of our favorite off-leash trails. Abbotsford has so few GOOD areas to walk with your dogs off leash. This is a great spot. Just wish people would keep their children and dogs out of the creek.

Beautiful park with lots of parking and a great playground for kids. The washrooms are clean too!

It is basically a branch of the Discovery Trail in Abbotsford. Has an off leash enclosed area for dogs, a couple of soccer pitches (on is fenced off) and a building with washrooms in the front thank goodness and changing rooms at the back for players. There was a play structure to the side of the building as well. It has a very small walking loop and appears to be attached to a subdivision. Not what I was expecting. So my drive there took 5x longer than the walk did and I went somewhere else to walk. No dog, no point.

Fun place to visit; nice shaded area under trees by the creek, fun for kids to throwing rocks in and splash around

Great place to take your dog for fun with other dogs and a off leash walk. Though some owners here don't own up to there dogs bad behavior and do nothing about it.

A quiet park, neighboring a school and a residential development. Nice bridge and natural stream running in this small valley. Also there is a fenced off-leash dog park, for the well trained owners. The natural stream is the place were dogs are released into that stream for play, against posted signs that say, "the stream is a natural fish habitat". We saw this action twice in the short time we were there because there is no park enforcement.

Bateman Park has a lot to offer.soccer fields, bike trails, off leash dog walk trials etc. Forests and open land makes it a popular park for locals

I love the trails along the creek. Nice and quiet, friendly people walking. Watch for bears in season, had one xross in front if us. Reports of several in the area.

This was our first trip back to Bateman since the fall/winter/spring rain/snow/rainy season, Cream colored Standard Poodles and mud-puddles don't mix if you want to respectable-looking service dog. We tookboth the boys for a walk around the wetlands (on-leash of course big pet peeve of mine when I see unleashed dogs in the wetlands.not acceptable) to stretch -our- legs & use a proper pack walk, to put the dogs in the correct frame of mind, before taking the boys into the social situations of a dog park. Ended up leaving Cairo in the car once we got to Bateman as he was pretty tuckered out he is an old man (15 years) after all and I didn't feel like he was up to dealing with the youngbloods, so it was me Papa and Charlie the headed off for Bateman dog park. - Please Don't worry he was in the shade and totally comfortable and cool.

I love Bateman because it's a really good group of dogs, people, different areas and types of places to exercise your dog in various ways on and off leash.there are various exits from the dog park, if needed and most people who come there keep an eye on their dogs and realize they need to supervise their animals, rather than spending time (and most of their focus and attention) on socializing themselves. There's lots of shade lots of room to run water is available (although dogs shouldn't be going into the waterways bonsai the path, as they are a breeding, spawning, rearing, area ground for our local fish) I recommend Bateman as one of the best dog parks in this town. Actually.in my opinion it is the best.it's a great place that gives you the option to be able to walk your dog on/off leash out on the parks paths, toss a ball in the unfenced doggy feild, or choose to use the enclosed fence in doggy socialisation area AK the dog park I love you because (b4 or after "playtime" with other dogs. I always I always recommend a pack walk before entering the dog park as this is the best way to have your dog in the best frame of mind to deal with the social situationcoming.) then take it into the social situation of the dog park

So we took Charlie in.there was a couple Doodles and a border collie and a lovely German Shepherd. Charlie poodle wasn't into chasing the ball, he was laid back do the pack walk, all he just wanted was to hang about and play so we let him hang & play while I chatted with the lady who owned the shepherd who needed some assistance with training. When the time came to go we took a little stroll along the path let him have a pee & a sniff or two as we headed to the parking lot n home.

I recommend Bateman dog park as Top Dog Park here in the city. -my second fav dog park in Abby is clearbrook but you have to be aware of the uneducated dog owners, along with some reactionary dogs as well, While you may run into such folks at Clearbrook DP There are two sections to the dog park itself and lots of trails (along with the ravine to enjoy as well) if needed.sorry was too busy talking and watching my dogs to take photos this time willl try better next time!

A great park for a variety of uses.
There are fields for organized play, gravel trails for stream-side walks, an off-leash area for dogs, and playground equipment for the little ones. The road access is very different depending if you want to park at the upper or lower parking lots.

Nice trail a lot of good boys (dogs) and nice amenities. Awesome trail for people who are out of shape like myself

Really beautiful park, gorgeous scenery and has a few very nice walking trails in the area, brought my family here for a day during the summer and my little one had a blast playing soccer in the field. Lots of people out walking their dogs, and it seems like they were having alot of fun roaming around as well!
