BC Animal Hospital

Today was the first time in YEARS that I left the vet and did not feel like a horrible pet owner and someone actually cared about my dog. My dog has been been living with a chronic issue for the last year and it just could never be resolved. Today Doctor Chan sat on the floor with my dog and waited for her to be ready for the check up. He was kind, caring and came up with a plan on how to resolve this issue! Thank you so much!

I was referred by a friend to Dr. Chan for a second opinion. He took the time to ask questions and discuss treatment options based on the big picture, not just the symptoms at hand. Something my regular vet missed. My dog has never had such a thorough appointment. I also drove from Vancouver, but it is totally worth it! I would highly recommend BC Animal Hospital.

The entire staff here are so supportive and caring! I credit Dr. Nina Hayes with saving our elderly cat's life and giving us an additional year and counting with her. The team is helpful with suggestions and advice in terms of not only medical care and the right decision for your family, but referrals to behavioral trainers and other services.

Today I saw Dr. Hayes and the technician who both were wonderful!
I didn't have to get my cat sedated after them treating my cat MINI who is part feral. There love and patience were phenomenal! They were able trim her nails which she desperately needed and a shot she needed too.
I would HIGHLY recommend this vet practise and Dr. HAYES.

Dr. Henderson met with our 12 year old Staffy to provide us with a second opinion (actually third) on a treatment plan for issues he’s had with his teeth and skin. By far, this is the best and most valuable information we’ve received thus far and now feel confident on which route to take.
Dr. Henderson was well informed on the breed and gave him a thorough exam. I’ve never seen our dog so calm on a table!

Literally the nicest and most caring animal service in the lower mainland. Dr. Hayes always does her job thoroughly and takes her time to answer all of your questions. She and the front staff are top of the line professional.

We brought our dog Audrey in for an emergency pyometra surgery and they were kind enough to offer the best prices for our family. Audrey is a large great dane and Dr. Hayes and the team did a fantastic and thorough job during surgery - we could not be more thankful to have found such a wonderful team at BC Animal Hospital.

The individuals at this clinic have a genuine care and respect for animals and offer the best prices for their clients. They are reasonable, patient, and kind, and our family cannot thank them enough for saving the life of our pet. If we could give them more 5 star reviews, we absolutely would. Dr Henderson is the kindest, most caring meticulous vet I’ve ever had. I’ve been to about 7 vets in my life. No one comes close to Dr Henderson. She genuinely cares. My dog has a very complicated medical issue and Dr Henderson has gone above and beyond to try and help. She has taken hours of her own time just to try figure out how to best treat my dog. I can’t recommend her enough!

Dr Henderson is the best vet in the Lower Mainland! I’m glad I found her again, VCA Newton didn’t tell me she’d left their clinic last time I called for an appt with her.

Very impressed with the level of care by the staff and Dr Blondel towards my French Bulldog, Diamond.
Dr Blondel spent alot of time answering my questions and gave great, timely advice regarding the care of my Frenchie.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST VET. Dr. Chan and Dr. Henderson are beyond what it means to be a veterinarian. I know my dogs are in the best possible care in their hands. We drive out from North Vancouver to BC Animal Hospital and it's always worth it.

They take their time to really explain things to you, including medications, procedures, etc. They really treat your animals like their own. Layla, Rocco and Nacho are very lucky to have such compassionate doctors looking after them. I cannot thank them enough!

Staff are smart, efficient and friendly, Dr. Chan is fairly young, knowledgable, and takes time to educate owners and explain.

Super amazing and patient stuff. Extremely helpful and they do have mandarin service so it’s extremely helpful for my parents to communicate!

Overall good experience. The vet doc is very caring and thorough. I never feel financially taken advantage of. They even give extra discounts here and there. I bring 2 cats and a puppy there and have never not been satisfied with he service they provide. Easy to get in, easy to park, and in a convenient area. It's not fancy but it's clean, efficient, caring and ecconomical.

These people really care about our pet's. They give a considerable amount of time for each visit. I have experienced them putting care before profit. I would highly recommend them to any and all.

Dr chan is thorough and doesn’t ever rush you! The staff do their best to get you in when needed. It’s a family environment and we are there so much we feel like family:) our French bulldogs are well cared for and we trust Dr chan and his team. We had a horrible and quite frankly fatal experience with this vet. Dr. Chan misdiagnosed our dog and told us to take her somewhere else as her organs were shutting down. Luckily we were able to get her to an emergency animal hospital. She ended up passing away and I can’t help but think maybe if she was properly diagnosed she would probably still be with us.

These doctors actually care. They never overcharge either. I'm so happy we have them close by to care for our pet when needed.

Went to see Dr. Chan after I was given a list of approved vets from the agency I adopted my kittens through (they are now 2 years old). He is GREAT! I cannot speak for the other vet as I have never met her but my sister says she's good to. I had horrid experience at a previous vet clinic and was desperate to find someone good. Dr. Chan is knowledgeable and is able to take the time to explain everything, and all options, to you. He is not there to have a full lengthy 1: 1 conversations but he is there to give you straight facts to help you make a decision. He never pushed for a more expensive option.in fact when we adopted our dog she had worms that COULD be caused by fleas. Dr. Chan gave us the option to treat the worms alone, or spend more money and treat the dog and both cats for fleas that there was no evidence for in the first place. He also recommended to stop wasting our money on flea prevention for the cats since they are indoor only and if we focused on the dog there should be no reason for fleas to enter the house anyway! I was very grateful for the honest opinions. He also has his own pets so he is able to speak about things on a person level and in a "this is what I would do with mine" manner. He spayed my cat and dog, and neutered my cat. He also surgically repaired both cats umbilical hernias when they were kittens. His costs are reasonable. Costs for other places may be lower, such as my old awful vet, but I would only ever trust my animals in the care of BC Animal Hospital. I have recommended this clinic to many other people who have had great experiences as well!

Had an amazingly informative 1st appointment with Dr Chan for my 3 new kittens. I learned so much and I could truly see he loves his work and his patients. We will be going back for our Spay and neuters and any ongoing needs.

These people are caring compassionate people who love animals. Dr. Chan will take the time to spend with you and your fur buddy to ensure they have the best care possible. They took excellent care of our baby when they performed surgery on her and the cost was more than fair.

Dr Chan and his team are the best that I have ever dealt with. He explains everything in detail to the point that I feel like I am a vet after I leave. We have taken my dog to 3 other vets in the area and each time, we leave with no answers. As soon as we brought my girl to Dr Chan, he knew right away and put a plan into action! Really nice doctors, reasonable prices, most of the receptionists know what they are doing and are friendly. My dog is very social and always over excited and they handle her pretty well.

We are from Vancouver and take the one hour drive to bring our furry babies here to see Dr. Brandon Chan, this is how much we want him as our vet and I can see we are not the only one. My pets are like family and it's important for me to find a vet that really cares about their well-being. We have had some bad experiences with previous vets and I'm so glad we found Dr. Chan. He truly cares about your pets, and always takes the time to inform and explain to you what's going on. Unnecessary procedures are never pushed and the clinic is always open and very transparent about what they are doing to your pet. The back room is usually open so you know what is going on, unlike some other vets that always close the door and makes you wonder what they are doing back there, or if that vaccine they are charging is actually being applied.

Prices are reasonable, staff is friendly and the clinic is clean. I will definitely be recommending my friends to see them.
