BC Liquor Stores

Very quick efficient service, very respectful staff, if curious about certain items whether on floor or not, the staff will look up in system for customers.

I called ahead for Bols banana liqueur (to make Chocolate Monkeys: vanilla ice-cream, banana liqueur and Kahlua - I add pineapple juice, too).

They have been out of stock since their warehouse strike.

They had 5 bottles in stock when I phoned, and their website said 9 bottles.

Buddy was kind enough to offer to put one aside for me.

When I got their an hour later, the shelf was empty and my bottle was indeed behind the counter at Customer Service, with my name on it.

This store is very well stocked, clean and well laid out. The staff is courteous, friendly and helpful - my favourite liquor store (at Bute snd Davie in Vancouver's scenic, busy and safe west end).

Stopped by this location to grab some beer & wine for a long weekend. Was overcharged and noticed a few hours later: (My bad not to double-check the receipt before leaving the store.

People can go inside and explore the variety of options found inside the store related to any alcoholic beverages or drinks

Depends. Some of them are good, friendly (usually in rich neighbourhoods), others not so friendly (poor neighbourhoods). Liquor is the currency that circulates in these stores, so no brainer here.

For someone who has mobility issues, I use a walker, this store is very easily accessible and easy to get around in.

Love the service here. Love how they ask me if I want my receipt. I said yes. Incase I want to return my liquor. ‍️ never noticed there is a 60days return on it. The clerk laughed when I said yes. Incase I want to return my liquor I just paid for. Knowing I was gonna consume it. Lol.

Gets the job done. Easy to access, bike locks located by the dollarama.
Service is as expected. Selection is there. I tried to buy fernet one day but my card did work. There were 8 bottles and when I returned two days later the were sold out. This makes me think they are super busy with high product rotation.

The worst liquor store I've ever been to. Their selection sucks. Never have what I'm looking for. Just seem to cater to the street people. My boss likes to get something after work every day and we were working in the area for about 3 months. Would have had our business if it was a better store.

My Bro always phones ahead of time and puts in order for Hires vodka and they always have it put away at customer service.

Great liquor store within walking distance close to Gastown and good for grabbing whatever it is you desire to drink it has a wide variety and selection.

They need proper security. Feel unsafe inside this store. Watched people grabbing and making a run for it. Witnessed a drunk guy knock over a rack of bottles.

First visit to this location. I brought my corgi with me as we are staying at the Fairmont just around the corner. I didn’t know that this was not a dog friendly liquor store. Both a gentleman and the store security guard approached me and asked me to leave the dog outside. I didn’t feel comfortable and I was on a mission to grab a couple beers for some relaxing time in. The gentleman actually watched my dog while I was inside shopping. I think this employee went above and beyond what is typical of store rep. I was super rushed inside the store because I was worrying about the pup outside. But it’s a very nice, clean store and seemed like OK selection of beer. Thank you kind souled man and if you want a dog friendly liquor store or don’t feel comfortable leaving your bestie tied up, check out high point - both human and furry friends are welcome. Perhaps this store can take a look into their policy for the future.

A typical BCL. Sometimes you gotta wait in line for abot cause traffic but overall a good BCL. Stop on by

Sells Alot of nrw@local beers but, I seem not to find certain high test brands. I couldn't find Clamoto/Vodka. Ceasar. Well stocked, Well organized with Nice Staff. Polite, knowledgeable.

Only open til 8 pm while all other locations are open til 11 pm downtown. This seems like discrimination to me because it's in the close proximity of the DTES. It can't be mall hours as you have a separate entrance and don't rely on them for opening and closing. While other locations cater to their customers downtown until 11pm. Can you give me a reasonable explanation?

It's a liquor store. Nothing special.
Employees are often cold and distant, but I can't blame them when you see the clients they are working with

It's a small location. Occasionally come across some individuals who don't take care of their personal hygiene and the security guards and staffs apparently paying extra attention on them. Most of the time it is ok.

Here you will find different types of alcoholic drinks, every week I would buy a different wine!

Attentive and helpful staff. Decent selection of drinks.
They run out of some drinks too quickly and fail to resupply which is inconvenient.
Overall better that other locations and other liqour stores.

Very small selection for cold zone didnt even hold a warm selection of my favorite local cooler bumper crop. No slurpee pouches available not even in summer. Ugh the one time I dont have my id to top it off. Just doing their job I know.

I don't blame the management but this is definitely the worst BC liquor store in town. Understandably the variety also seems to be less here compared to other stores.

It’s worth noting we were advised by a local that these BC stores are govt owned and therefore cheaper than regulated liquor stores - enjoy!

Staff is uninformed, some have been really rude. One woman had a big chip on her shoulder. Retuned a few cans one day and because I washed and flattened the cans (frontwards) the guy got really anxious. "This never happened before, what should I do"? Well they are flat so they take less space. Why not count them and pay me. Gotta be that millennial thing. Problem solving is difficult for them.

Nice selection plus cold drinks. Friendly staff since they got rid of that cow that used to work there.

Most importantly, close to our bartending school and open whenever we need last minute supplies. Not the most extensive collection, but they do have what we need!

Always the best BCL staff that I visit. Helpful, the manager is friendly, and other than a crazy long weekend, you're in and out within minutes.

Great staff, good selection. Sometimes, though, lineups are quite long (as long as 15 minutes; there are only 4 tills, and, usually only 2 open).

It's a liquor store, I had a difficult experience their one time, so I don't go there to much anymore.

It carries just about everything a person needs for that special occasion or for that perfect gift or if you just need to unwind after a hard day's work!

Followed around by security, and treated as if I was steal something was horrible I felt unwelcomed. To top it off I mentioned to one of the employees to ask the security to not follow me around the store, and she replied with the rudest remark telling me that was a part of his job to follow you people I felt racially attacked, and was offended.

It was insanely busy, but good. There's usually a lot of sketchy people around this location, but this time wasn't so bad.
