Absolutely disgusting behaviour from you people. I wrote a review and you delete it no no that's not how this will work. One of those employees literally tried COMING FOR MY 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. All because I would not keep a Guinea pig that I had gotten from a friend that she couldn't afford to feed so I thought I was being nice. Well it was biting my child my cousin and one of my friends kids I HAD HIM 6 weeks he was 2 years old. So I drove there to THE SPCA to drop him off because clearly I can not care for it as we couldn't even pick him up. So the giant homely lookin female that works there told me no no keep him for 2 weeks I SAID IF YOU WANTED ME TO KEEP HIM LONGER I WOULD NOT EVEN BE HERE. So it is now 2 WEEKS LATER I GET A KNOCK ON MY DOOR FROM ANIMAL SHELTER COP THING SAYING THAT SAME GIANT homely FEMALE REPORTED ABUSE FROM MY 4 year old little girl to my dog that I have had since a puppy (he is 5) I will keep writing reviews if you keep deleting them. You literally tried to come after a 4 year old AND STRAIGHT UP LIED ABOUT IT. And lied about everything. WHAT KIND OF ANIMAL SHLETER IS THIS THAT I CANT DROP A DAM Guinea pig off so he can go to a person who can care for him in a way I can't. YOU LITERALLY CAME AFTER A TODDLER BECAUSE YOU HAD NOTHING TO GO BY. I DID THE RIGHT THING BY THE ANIMAL AND THEN YOU TURN AROUND AND MAKE A LIE ABOUT A TODDLER. SHAME ON YOU.

Was told we could not meet or view cats without an adoption because “all the cats are in foster”. When I inquired about the other people meeting, petting and viewing cats in a cat room full of cats beside the desk the front desk person said “well what kind of cat do you want? ” And I said “a friendly, fun cuddly cat with attitude” and the reply was “well those cats in there are awful” she says pointing to the room where a woman was holding and snuggling a cat. “They are mean cats. They hiss and will tear your face off if you try to pet them”
All of this was said to me in front of my child.

Not sure if front desk staff is doing community service or being paid but they appeared stoned and were incredibly rude. Never met SPCA staff who could care less that someone was hoping to adopt an animal.

I’ve also never adopted a cat without meeting them first. Very weird systems.likely the only one like it in Canada.terrible staff. Is there a cat crisis or not?

We looked elsewhere.

Hi, Can I ask how I can volunteer? Also, what kind of job do the volunteers usually do? I love animals and would like to help if I can in my free time.

Thank you for the adoption of the 10 month old female budgie on July 7th from the Kelowna SPCA. The staff were so helpful and very kind with providing excellent customer service. The budgie is doing well. I am so happy I found her at your facility. Katherine

I love this place and everything they stand for. I’ve been rescuing stray cats for years. This place has been great.

We did not get what we were hoping for but got good information about the adoption process.

Adoption can be a daunting task. Which animal do you choose? They are all worthy! This place does a great job in making you feel comfortable and they put up with all my indecision. They must have let me into the cats room a dozen times because I couldn't choose. But in the end I got the most adorable cat and I'm very grateful for this place.

Overwhelmed with helping all the animals yet all the employees are genuinely caring and hard working to help them out, the least we could do is donate

As you would expect, these people are amazing! They love animals, and give them all 5 star treatment.
