Beach Ave Bar and Grill

Had the cod and chips. It was very good. The homemade tartar sauce was excellent and it was a good portion for the price.

Also had a Ceasar.

It's right on the water which is nice. Service was good. It was very busy so it sometimes took a while for my server to come around again but that was fine.

Service was very bad. Drinks ok but average. The place is not bad, but to me, unfriendly and rude customer service is a reason not to go back.

Tried to send earlier, not sure it went. I/we had a horrible experience with an overly in-your-face waitress named Aimee. Table 202. She scared my wife to tears and anger. Aimee got down on her knees next to my wife and proceeded to babble at her about maybe needing “ one cocktail or maybe Two”, my wife has 48 years of sobriety and was totally frightened by this waitress.

When it came time to pay our bill, I looked around and saw Aimee again (TOTALLY inappropriate!) down on her knees jabbering away To a small boy.
I finally asked a passing waitress for our bill, paid, and left. We are from ABQ, NM. Obviously we will not recommend this restaurant to ANY ONE! Terrible $80 experience.glad no drinks!

Unbelievable experience at the Beach Ave bar! Our server Roxy recommended the best burger I’ve had in my life. She was very attentive and bubbly. Will definitely come back soon 10/10! We even bought tshirt merch! Huge fans

Came with my friends the other day after work and the foods are tasty. Friendly staff and great price too.

Wow! This place became our regular when we were visiting Vancouver, pre and post our cruise to Alaska. Great Red Truck Amber beer on tap, tasty food and brilliant friendly service, with a special mention for Lauren, who was not only friendly, but also very attentive.

Very cool place to grab a bite and enjoy a nice view. Staff are very friendly, and the food was quite good. Got the lox benny and chicken and waffles! Looking forward to coming again:)

Decided to stop here cause we were so hungry. Food was great and our server Stergios definitely made the whole experience here perfect. Super friendly and attentive the whole time that we were here.

Great spot along the sea wall for a bite to eat and pint on the way to English Bay. Great service as well.

The view was amazing! But unfortunately the food was not tasty. I ordered Chauder soup and calamari. Chauder was too fat, calamari extremely salty, we didn’t eat them. And pretty sad that the waiter even did not ask why we didn’t eat our food.
But my friend really liked burger and fries.
Think it’s a nice place for beer and fries with a view, but for more complicated food better to find another restaurant

A hidden gem! So many great items and drink options, there seems to be something for everyone. A favourite is the BBQ Burger w hickory sticks - a must try if you like burgers! Rain or shine this spot along the seawall has a great vibe. Kudos!

Decent service on a very slow Sunday night with only two other tables. Otherwise, the rest of the experience was nothing great. The appetizers were very small in portion size. $13 for the very small portion fried cheese curds is a joke. The menus were sticky - It was so slow the staff was just sitting around doing nothing - then at least spend the time wiping the menus clean. Not worth coming back based on the experience.

Great views and proximity to the sunset beach. HOWEVER, they seem to take advantage of the fact that they are one of the few venues) suppliers for the beach. Consistently over serve women and take ad of them.

This Hickory BBQ Burger has to be the best hamburger that I can remember tasting.it was absolutely delicious, what a wonderful creative taste and the rest of the meal was very memorable, the Happy Hour Hummus and the great tasting craft beer.the staff are very friendly and helpful.the discussion of the Hickory BBQ richness in flavour was essential in helping us make our dining selection.and here we were in the early evening with the Burrard Street Bridge with glowing colours and Granville Island in view with the various marine vehicles in such close proximity made our meal that much more special…our current time here at this cafe was a less quality experience, the clam chowder was tasteless and the bun on the hamburger was quite soggy…hopefully next time we will have a happier time exploring this great cafe by the water… the service was very good as usual.

The beach avenue restaurant cum bar is very scenic and well located.
Food is adequate, with a good service culture.

Stopped in for a late drink and bite to eat. Loved the fact that it’s almost October and you could still dine outside under the stars. Gorgeous views of the water, Burrard bridge and Grandville Island. Service was friendly and efficient. It was a Monday evening so not that busy. Ordered the Seafood Chowder which was a decent sized bowl of creamy goodness. Also had the prawn tacos. You got two tacos, and the shrimps were diced up with other vegetables. They too were delicious. Overall we had a great experience and will be returning to try other menu items on our next visit to Vancouver!

We have ordered some food there and so far it has been ok, nothing great; however the view is nice, as well the staff and it's close to where we live.
In the picture: That's their version of a calamari appetizer. $16 bucks or so and lots of Serrano pepper for my taste & I am MexiCanadian.

American customers be aware that your CASH currency is accepted at PAR, although the USA dollar currently is worth $1.36 Canadian. Bring a credit card instead.

Service was lousy, because the waitress & waiter was inside the restaurant chatting with their other coworkers when they didn't bother to bring my friend & I any water

Have visited this restaurant on 5 occasions while walking to or from English Bay.
1) Food experience on all occasions was mediocre, small portions for the prices charged.
2) Service very, very poor on last 3 visits. On 2 of these, once waitress took order, never saw her again. She totally ignored despite serving tables around me (= 1% tip) ; hostess delivered food & bill. The place was not busy. On the 1st visit the waitress was excellent (above & beyond) = 40% tip. On this occasion it was very busy & she was great with all tables on her section but have never seen her again.
Recommendation = waterside view is nice but otherwise definitely skip this place.

Excellent bar and grill located in a very privileged spot underneath Burrard Bridge with a beautiful view.
The service offered by Brittany was so courteous and fast.
The place follows closely and strictly the protocol of social distance and sanitization.
We had delicious Caesars, salt and pepper chicken wings and roasted hummus.
We spent a lovely time, with delicious drinks and yummy appies.
Was our first time, but of course not the last.

I’m leaving this review as a regular customer as I felt compelled after after my experience tonight. Service here is typically okay, depends on who you get. Service was perfectly friendly and timely this time but I’m not happy with how they managed an issue with the food. My partner ordered the veggies and hummus entree and it was 3 pieces of celery and a bunch of bread. I don’t really understand how you call something “veggies” and hummus when it’s hummus and a mountain of bread. The menu also claims there’s a variety of vegetables but nope. My partner can’t really eat bread and we told them it wasn’t what we expected and they still charged us for it. It’s a tough time for everyone right now in the restaurant industry so I understand, but I think some communication and acknowledgement about the shortcoming of the food would have been appreciated. She could have also given us the heads up that they were still charging for it.

I tried my husband's seafood chowder, I normally dislike seafood and/or chowder.but this was so tasty I had to get my own! The menu overall looks great, and the location is nice with views of passing by boats. Great covid safety procedures in place as well.

Good service, great location and good covered, heated patio. Food is only ok, not great. The fries are pretty good.

Great service, love the patio and overlooking false creek. Did not order food however other tables did and theirs looked yummy Would return again. Rode our bikes and even tho the wall is closed for cycling, there is a way in if you walk your bikes. Nice place on the wall. Cheers!

The hummus was perfect. Love the garlic. The sea salt sprinkles on the pita bread, ground pepper and olive oil was a nice touch. Server was attentive. The food surprised me (in a good way).

Simply great. Relaxed atmosphere, amazing views, great staff, beer selection, I mean I could go on and on. Really, just a great place and a gem considering other options around. Highly recommend a visit and, the beach burger is sooooo good, seriously.

Been here on several occasions, most recently for brunch. The first time I couldn't decide between the chicken burger and the bbq burger but I went chicken and boy was it tasty. If you like a little spice this is the fried chicken sando for you. Garnished with slaw and a decent pickle. I started with the crab dip and finished with a beer and made my way home very satisfied. You know I came back for that bbq smash burger too, and it was exceptional. They garnish with these crispy chips that really take this smash burger over the top. No app that time but fries were on point and beer was crisp. Sat on the patio for both of these experiences and it was good people watching.

Which brings me to my latest visit, brunch. Split the breakfast poutine with my wife and although that egg sandwich was calling my name I went Bacon Benny for the main and it was killer. My wife had the chicken and waffles (honey butter ftw!) But kept snagging my tater tots and brown butter hollandaise. Par for the course when the food is this tasty.

The room is small but inviting, and on nice days it's obvious why I'll keep coming back. The service has always been on point and in these covid times everyone on staff was masked up and respecting distance as much as possible - which I appreciate. Of course I'll be back soon for more. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Location, food, drinks, and service. What more could one ask for. While they don't have an extensive food menu, just burgers and appetizers that too half a dozen each - they do them extremely well. The vegan burger and chicken wings were excellent.

Staff is warm and attentive right from entry to table to exit. Even outside they keep coming regularly to check if you need something.

Will definitely recommend and revisit.

New owners doing their best to keep the location functioning in the Covid times and restrictions. Please support them. New menu items tasty and beer cold.
