On a Friday going into a long weekend, our baby lovebird was showing signs of respiratory illness. When birds are sick, it's always an emergency because things can do downhill extremely quickly. I called around to MANY different vet clinics throughout Victoria and either a vet wasn't available, vets weren't willing to treat birds, or bird vets weren't taking any new avian patients. Of all the clinics I called, only two were willing to try to make time for our bird. Dr. Victor Negrea and his wonderful team understood the urgency of our situation and offered us two same-day appointment options. When I visited the clinic, Dr. Negrea was extremely gentle with our bird and went out of his way to prevent our bird from becoming stressed. He sent us home with medication and clear instructions and a bill that I feel was extremely fair-priced. I'm so grateful!

BEST CLINIC EVER! My dog had been at the clinic up until very recently when we moved out of the country, they were so helpful with getting everything in order for his big move (and let me tell you, it was A LOT of paperwork). They have always taken such great care of him over years, their team is amazing to work with. I can’t say enough good things!

We have been bringing our male cattle dog mixed breed (Monte) to Dr Victor since we moved back to the island in 2021. Even though we no longer live in Sidney, we make the drive to continue to see Dr V, as he is so amazing with our boy! Monte loves all the staff here and is always happy to see them. He has even had a minor surgery here and was still happy to come back - not an easy thing to accomplish! Everyone is so friendly, and accommodating. Dr V really cares and goes the extra mile! I’m an anxious dog mom and he is always so patient with me and answers all my questions and won’t push unnecessary treatments. Will continue seeing Dr V as long as we are in Victoria:)

We've been taking our large-breed dog to this vet for almost two years, and have been very impressed at the care we have been provided. They were very responsive when our dog developed an infection from a surgery, and great at following up.

Dr. Negrea and his wonderful team are the best. My cat Barney is so comfortable there - good vibes! The care is excellent and we are always well informed about shots and care. We are very lucky to have Beacon Pet Hospital in Sidney. Very lucky.

We just visited from Grand Forks to use the reproductive vet services. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Very professional vet who treated the dogs kindly and gently. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

My kitty was SO, SO sick, on a holiday eve, no less. The heat was baking off him. Not only were they able to get him in with no notice, but they had the bandwidth to do all his fluid analysis right then. He was home with a prescription later that day and feeling better within a few days.

I am new to Sidney.
My cats require prescription medication that they have had for years.
This "Pet Hospital" would not fill my prescriptions without first seeing my pet$$$.
Garry Oak Veterinarian had no issues.

Beacon tax services referred me to Dr. Victor Negrea and hands down my favorite vet on the island. Not only is he very reasonable, he takes the time to explain and made sure my dog was comfortable. Highly recommend Dr. Victor!
