…located easily a few blocks this side of the UBC endowment lands entrance off 10th avenue, parking nearby is easy to find.
A friend with inordinately impeccable taste recommended that I try B. A. T. W. C’s dark Marine roast coffee bean blend, and I have to wholeheartedly concur with her opinions. I find this blend of beans to be my absolutely new favourite coffee to start out my day with- although now and then I do add a wee bit of hazelnut of my own to it…I love the flavour of chocolate, spices and nuts that this coffee has…This particular location is conveniently open early, and always brimming with customers eager to enjoy the various drinks and scrumptious treats available here. The staff are always happy to help you start out or finish off your day on the right foot, with whatever coffee drink you might desire. I will certainly look forward to stopping by whenever I’m on my way to UBC…. Very nice place. Coffee was excellent, service was great, friendly staff, and lots of options for delicacy.

This was our second visit to this location since we like the area, their goodies, food and really enjoyed the friendly staff. However, during my last visit, I encountered a disappointing experience.

I ordered my usual medium roast drip coffee for $3.90. After receiving my coffee, I noticed a lip mark on my cup, and I wiped it off with a tissue. But after a few sips, the taste seemed off. I decided to switch to a dark roast (which I don't usually order) and approached a staff member wearing a pink check shirt. I asked if I could change to a dark roast, to which she confusingly mentioned it would be lighter. I insisted on the change and was told I had to pay an extra fee since I had already taken a few sips. Another employee intervened, stating there shouldn't be a charge. The staff member (wearing pink) reluctantly made the change, but when I asked for a new cup due to her touching the rim with her fingers, she seemed to be angry and annoyed. Eventually, she changed the cup, but in a rude manner, spilling coffee on the counter in the process.

I was left wondering why the other employee apologized to me while the staff member (wearing pink) did not. We all have bad days or something that could be bothering us or have lots on our mind. I totally understand but still, proper manners are important, and I greatly appreciate the other staff member apologizing on her behalf and hope she’s doing a lot better.

In all, it still is a great coffeeshop which offers good quality food, friendly and neighborly vibe. It's worth noting that this location does not offer WiFi, which might be inconvenient for some customers.

Visited Vancouver from Toronto, came across this place while visiting my brother who lives nearby. Great service, nice ambiance. Only reason for the 4 stars is that two single cappuccinos cost $12.

I like all the Bean Around the Worlds, but the owner/manager (?) of this one is so nice and is always eager to talk about the drinks and food every time I see him, which makes this location in particular feel special to me. The aesthetic and atmosphere of the place is rustic and very cozy.
I really like all their food, the sandwiches/wraps and the baked goods - there's interesting choices including good vegetarian and vegan options, and they're well-made. And the drinks are just as good - they can do a nice strong tea latte here and this summer they have decaf cold brew! I can't handle regular coffee on most occasions so I haven't had cold brew in ages and was excited to try this, and it was amazing. Highly recommend for my fellow decaf drinkers!

Lovely spot for a drop in. I had a coffee and breakfast sandwich which came with a dollop of hot sauce + Mayo on the side (yummy). Lots of people sitting at tables inside and outside. Some tables had signs on them to limit laptop and tablet use which was nice. Lots of other spots for people who want to use laptops though.

Fantastic, friendly, attentive service. You don’t see service like this much anymore. Appears to be family run, lots of food options. I was really impressed. Found my new coffee spot!

Super kind service every time! I broke the lid on my drink and they gave me damp paper towel for my spill, offered me a new lid, and even laughed at my stupid joke about smelling like an "oat" cow (cuz my beverage was iced oat milk). The almond butter cup was extraordinary. My new fave sweet! Thanks for everything:)

Got an oat latte in house and it was a bit watery and lacked thickness and richness.it might just be because of the use of Oatly milk which i find doesnt make good lattes.the ambiance is rustic and comfortable with bright window bench seating where you can do work.

Have been coming to this location for over 10 years. Nothing but great things to say. Max has always been friendly and will take the time to ask and curate a drink that you are feeling that day.

The nicest people work here! Great customer service and they even remembered my name after a couple visits. Food is great! Soups, sandwiches, sweets. They even have frozen foods you can take home.

Very friendly and speedy service. Coffee is always good. They have swiss water method decaf too. That's a big bonus over SB.

This bean around the world is special - it’s like a community in a coffee house, everyone who works there is incredibly kind and friendly - the service is always good, the coffee or tea is always hot /fresh and delicious and it’s a place where you feel comfortable to be. Best coffee shop experience period - there’s a reason that they’ve been opened for so long!

Max runs a good shop. Coffee’s great, nice atmosphere, and they finally have dine in again!

Walked in hungry at 3: 15, got the best curry chicken sandwich and large americano I’ve ever had, left by 3: 35pm. 10/10, would inhale a late lunch here again.

Awesome coffee experience! One of our favorite spots for lattes and sanwiches! Best tasting lattes we ever have had! Great rustic atmosphere and friendly staff makes us coming back for more:).

This isn't your average coffee shop. Staff are so polite and attentive here, they treat patrons like old friends. Everything is good; the worst thing that can happen here is a long line but they're pretty efficient about those.
