Beanpod Chocolate, Gelato and Coffee

Their hot chocolate is made with real chocolate and it’s very good. I’d recommend the milk instead of dark though because the dark one is very rich and requires mental preparation so u know what your getting into

I chatted with the owners who are lovely people. They take celiace seriously as they themselves/their kids are celiac. The entire place is gluten free (gelato, chocolates, drinks) and if they can't get a certain ingredient in they'll take the item off the menu until they can get the GF ingredient in.

100% recommend and will be going back - great people and great treats. Super tasty

Great gelato! The coconut mango is a great vegan option. I had the brownies gelato and loved it. Their chocolate is exceptional but a bit pricey (around $10 for a single bar). That being said, it is world famous quality. Would be nice if they had some samples for the chocolate.

Best dark chocolate I've had as it is not bitter.
Have stopped in here for years, consistently top tier.
Excellent customer service.
Also has dark and medium freshly roasted coffee, sitting area, and viewable kitchen.

Great espresso and oat milk latte. Also great chocolate with lots of variety. Gelato is great on a hot day for sure!

As someone with nut allergies, this is my new favourite chocolate place. Most bars don’t contain nuts, and there are tons of flavours to choose from. To make it even safer, they use separate molds and equipment when making nut and nut-free bars. They also make fantastic gelato in house with several unique flavours. The rhubarb and dragonfruit I enjoyed were both incredibly refreshing. If you have a sweet tooth that needs indulging, this is the place.

Cute shop, fast paced but great service and handcrafted gelato and hot drinks. Encironment felt a tad cold and empty regardless of the high volume of customers coming in, they may have remived tables cause pandemic? Overall gelato was great (honey comb was a with our family)

Our family popped in just before closing and there were 6 of us grabbing gelato and chocolate! Everything was great - honeycomb was a fave as was mango and salted caramel. Chocolate was on par with Peruvian chocolate makers. The gentleman behind the counter was also very friendly and patient. The kids loved being able to see the back!

Better than cheap rocky mountain choclate. Atleast here they make their own stuff rather than Melt choclate down like rocky mountain chocolate factory

Bought some chocolates here. Wanted truffles but the gentleman working there stated it was too hot to make them as they would melt. Bought a bag of coffee beans that smelled amazing.

The customer service was ahhhhmazing and the barista was cheerful and believe this or not but not afraid to take my old paper cup and recycle it. The coffee was delicious but the chocolates. OMG Decadence meets creamy, natural goodness with a perfect balance between sweetness and flavour. We will be back!

If you love chocolate then you have to hit the Beanpod. Not inexpensive but delicious and a Fernie treat! The Grizz Bar is awesome!

Great gelato flavors. I recommend the salted caramel flavor. Even with just the small cup, you will be more than satisfied. Staff were pleasant and upbeat. It's like they're genuinely excited to have you there.

Super friendly, the owner explained to us how and where the beans were coming from, the process in bringing them from Ecuador to Fernie, and gave us few beans to sample which was amazing. The gelato is a must try, I tried the espresso and salted caramel, the raspberry with chocolate, so good, can’t decide which is my favorite and I bought few chocolate bars. Visiting Beanpod was the highlight of my trip to Fernie.

First time in Fernie. James gave us a great introduction of the store, production process and knowledge behind it. It was a blessing to have him show us around and even recommend places to go for food.
Great experience, I couldn't thank him enough.
Chocolate itself, it's so smooth and tasted awesome. We bought quite a bit. I usually can't eat anything above the 78% cocoa but the chocolate from this store is just amazing.

The quality of the Coffee and Gelato are great but what's really great is tha unique Chocolate process that is used by the owners James & Mary.

Was in Fernie on Monday Aug 10th. A friend raved about this place. We got here at 4: 45pm and didn't realize they closed at 4pm. The gent working inside saw the disappointment in our friends daughter, came to the door and still served us even though they were closed.
He was very polite and the Gelato was amazing.
I 100% recommend stopping here. We definitely will on our next trip thru Fernie.

Prices were high for small portions and not a lot of variety either.

Very good chocolate and good service. The employees were the most down to earth people and their chocolate is homemade from cacao beans and it's awesome.

Simply the best mocha latte you can possibly get. Fresh quality chocolate makes a huge difference along with freshly ground beans.

Wide variety of chocolate that is only locally available. Friendly ownership and staff.

Cup of Hot chocolate, best I've had outside Europe.
Didn't buy any cakes of chocolate, a bit pricey for me but I guess if it taisted like the drink then if you want quality then you have to pay the price.

A must do in fernie, if you love chocolate or want the best hot chocolate in town then this is the place!
