Bear Behind Lodge

We had the best stay at Bear Behind Lodge. The lodge and mountain were beautiful! The roads were really well maintained and didn’t have more than a few cm of snow, but it melted with the rain the next day. We came for a weekend and had a great time walking around the mountain, playing games and sitting by the fireplace.
The lodge had everything we needed for the weekend! We brought blankets just in case and didn’t even need them. The fireplace was so warm and there were plenty of blankets for 8 of us. We brought some games and played the ones they had provided too. The hosts were so lovely and helpful - 10/10 we’ll be staying here again!

We've stayed at Bear Behind Lodge multiple times and hope to come again. I can't say enough good things about how welcome Jason and Angelika make you feel. Great base for a ski trip and they've got plenty of games to keep you occupied in case the weather doesn't cooperate.

First time visiting Sasquatch mountain and this rental unit did not disappoint! The space and layout for our 3 families, and proximity to the lodge and ski lifts were perfect. The hosts went above and beyond with making sure each room was clean, comfy and had everything we needed. The kids loved the rec room downstairs complete with large tv, foosball table, books and games; plus the large snow piles next to the house to play on. We will be back!

Epic accommodation, location and experience communicating with an experienced host. The owners thoughtfulness and attention to detail really made this feel like our home away from home. All we had to do was focus on having fun!

We just had a wonderful time staying at Bear Behind Lodge. It was a beautiful place to stay and we had lots of room for our family and a couple friends. The home was very clean and well equip with everything we needed and more. We just had to bring our food and ski gear and we were set. Thank you for sharing your place with us and we can't wait to come back and do some more skiing and snow fort building with the kids.

Bear Behind Lodge is the perfect getaway for friends and family! The lodge itself is beautiful, cozy, and fully equipped with anything you might need. The guest experience is so thoughtfully catered from a welcome basket to recommendations for the area. We had such a great time and can't wait to come back!

The place is beautiful and well cared for. The host goes the extra mile in all aspects and works to ensure you have everything and anything you need. The wood burning fire place made it such a cozy place to relax next to and the games room downstairs provided endless entertainment. We will definitely be back:)

I have stayed here on more than one occasion. Every time I felt so comfortable and at ease. The views out of practically every window are fantastic! So cool to be able to actually see people skiing as you prepare or clean up from a meal in the fully furnished kitchen! Hiking to the top of each lift in the summer and fall were fantastic, amazing views and different fauna than most anywhere else I've hiked in the lower mainland. The addition of disc golf to the mountain and having proper discs available with the Lodge rental was a fun perk! I can't wait to stay here again!

Our family had a truly terrific time this year for Thanksgiving weekend. Everything was very clean and in good order. The Bear Behind Lodge is very nicely decorated and comfortable. Jason was quick to help when we asked about the fire table. Everyone was impressed with the way the wood burning fire, already prepared for us, lit so easily. The place is accurately described, and is really very lovely. The games, TV and foosball all added enjoyment to our stay as well as the interesting game suggestions left on the table with a personal note and a basket of surprises. We had ample space for the 10 of us. The surrounding area was both beautiful and quiet. I highly recommend the Bear Behind Lodge, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.

Wonderful place to stay. Very clean and beautiful. The host is very friendly and helpful. They were available during our visit and answer our questions quickly. Our kids enjoyed a lot and never got bored as there was lots of things for them to play with.

We had such a wonderful Mother's Day weekend at Bear Behind Lodge with our friends and kids. The place is very nice, clean and every detail has been thought for. The kids especially loved it there, playing in the recreation/play room while we relaxed and enjoyed spending time with friends in the main living room with peace of mind! Thank you Jason and Angelika for being such a nice host and making our stay a wonderful experience!

You can't find a more beautiful, well-kept place on Hemlock Mountain. Super cozy, super clean, and super close to the chair-lifts if coming during ski season. Tons of activities in the home to do with family and friends - we were never bored. The home is really beautiful - exactly what you would hope a winter chalet would look and feel like. The owners have put so much thought and effort into the décor - you can tell they really take care of the place. And the owners are incredible: always available, really warm and inviting, and thoughtful in all the things they did to make our stay comfortable. We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend this place - it was, by far, among the best places we have ever stayed!

Amazing place to stay with family or friends. The owner was so accomodating and responsive. The lodge was very clean and had everything you need. We loved our 2 nights stay with our friends.

Beautiful location, spotlessly clean, super comfortable, friendly locals. Visited in summer and hiked around the stunning scenery.
