Belcarra Picnic Area

Always a nice experience here. There are times that the picnic area is crowded especially during long weekends. You may sometimes have difficulty in finding parking space so you need to come early. Only park in the designated parking spaces or else you get a ticket or possibly get towed.

Beautiful family picnic destination, wonderful views over the ocean and the islands, lots of seating areas, public washrooms, playground foe children, big parking, it is one of the most beautiful places in Vancouver.

Beautiful park, lots of space, can book big shed for picnics, can also rent kayaks. Really nice place to rest after the jug island hike.

Parking was horrible but overall beautiful place when you found parking lucky we have friends that live in the area and we got a parking pass

Nice picnic area, rentable BBQ and table area. Mostly grass, limited beach space, pier, great views. Small lot and pay parking is a big subtraction from rating.

Beautiful place to go with the family and friends to spend the day. Its a great place to do some fishing or crabbing or to do some kayaking.

(You have to pay for parking, photos included of the price) Such a perfect trail! Not too hard but some parts may make you out of breath!
Park in Belcarra Picnic area and walk to the trail head.
The view and beach at the end of the trail is perfect. You can also kayak and swim in the water at the picnic area. We kayaked to Jug island aswell as doing the hike. You can rent kayaks there at Takaya.
You have to pay for parking anywhere in the regional park! It's free from 7am-10am and then $2 an hour from 10am. Maximum price will be $12 if you stay 6 hours or more:)
It's so busy here! Arrive before 9am for a guarantee d spot!

Regional park is a beauty everywhere but residents are pretty mean. Even when you are heading to one of the trails, they stare you like you are intervening in their property on the way as if they own the park!

Great park however nobody was monitoring the large groups of people who were sharing the covered areas. Looked like a super spreader event. No masks. Nobody was 2 meters apart. If police were present there would be mass amounts of fines issued on the weekend. Kudos to those who were being mindful of who they are in close proximity of.

Parking was insane, but it was beautiful and a long weekend, so I kinda expected it.

That is really sad that you have to pay 2 $per hour for parking now but maybe it will be less busy we will see in the future

Hate that they have put parking meters in now. Plus, if you don't have a phone or credit card you can't pay to park. Is that even legal?

It is a great place to picnic and BBQ. They have a dedicated grill place and sheltered seating areas.

Viestas and ambient are stunning. Worth the effort and time to come out here to enjoy some of the most spectacular views across the Indian Arm and Burrard Inlet.

The park offers great BBQ opportunities and is the starting point for some really nice trails along the shoreline or away from it.

Can be busy at times!

Heard awesome things about this place and we fixed a group picnic there. Some people had to park and then walk for 40mins before getting to the picnic ground. Some weren’t even able to get parking at all Cos the towing trucks were having a field day. Fix the parking issues please. No point having a beautiful location that people can’t enjoy.

Such a beautiful and peaceful waterfront to relax, eat, hike and enjoy a day with family and friends.

Beautiful and popular place, even on a cloudy Saturday! Make sure to get there before noon for optimal parking. The lot is decent but still fills up fast! (Potentially because of the long weekend, too).

I decided that I wanted to go on a hike with my younger son instead of dinner for Father's Day. Considered doing the 'Grind', but decided to break myself in gently. (after all it's been forty years since my last/ first hike). The drive from Vancouver to Belcarra Park was a pleasant one.very scenic, lots of green! It probably took longer to get there than doing the hike itself, but well worth it.
The picnic area was very busy as the local firemen were doing some kind of funder and we still managed to grab a parking spot. The picnic area was aplenty.lots of tables under cover.very well kept and clean. Although my son and I did not use the facilities, I would consider and recommend going here for a picnic and hiking in the future. So much to appreciate in our own backyard!

Bring your families here, BBQ, picnic or catch crafts, or bring kids to play in playground. Great place to enjoy your life.

Nice park with beach access, mostly for kayaking. A lot of people go crabbing there. Perfect for picnic and BBQ. If you'd like to swim, visit the lake close by, much nicer.

A beautiful park with tons of things to do! Watch out for the geese, they’ll steal your snacks if you’re not careful!

Great place for bbq and picnic. Perfect for kids, there is a big playground and green area to play ball. Views are great, couple of hiking trails too.
