I'll never come here again for cancelling the play and giving into a mob of thugs, goodbye belfry.

"Fallin' in Love: The Songs of Joni Mitchell" was a beautiful play performed by 5 multi-talented Canadian actors/musicians. Victoria is very lucky to have the The Belfry Theatre.

A very easy venue to navigate. Easy to buy tickets, great staff and volunteers. I just saw the latest performance “I think I’m falling’” and was blown away. Fantastic performance. A great cornerstone in Fernwood.

Excellent performance tonight. The music of Joni Mitchell. Although not a big fan of hers, the performers singing and musicality were second to none. And such a cute and perfect venue and area of town. So eclectic.

The Belfry always has good shows and amazing performances. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house.

The performance of UNPLUGGED is great. A number of people from the church I attended who saw it, had a Zoom call that night, mostly it got an 8 of 9 of enjoyment from them.)

Stunning surroundings and performances in live theatre. Bury The Hatchet was an emotional and spiritual adventure through the interpretations of the performers. Recommending this to everyone.

So happy to find this on a bike tour. Saw Kindred. Staging and cast were wonderful. I grew up going to Broadway shows and this compared well.

Never been to a performance here that wasn't great. Ne can't go wrong buying a yearly subscription.

Belfry is an old church converted into a community theatre. They have a concession that is licensed for intermissions. It is a vestigial of community and art reminding of what true entertainment can be. Check out their shows and you will surely find something to enjoy!

An intimate theatre experience. I've attended theatre performances and the recent musical one. Probably not a bad seat in the house. Licensed lobby. Great volunteers as ushers, etc. Parking is in the school parking lots off Gladstone for evening shows and needs prior research.

Dainty little theater, right at the heart of the city. Watched " Ministry of Grace". Amazing play with superb acting by the artists!

As always The Belfry Theater just beautiful. Everything about it structure of the building spacious seats lobby area is a little small for the crowd that was there but it was okay wheelchair accessible okay location for parking wise could use some work.

My Fernwood life would not be complete without this place. The Belfry has the best theater productions! I've had season tickets since I arrived in Victoria in 2015, and I've never been disappointed!

Absolutely gorgeous! Recently renovated front entry, and obviously a cherished part of old Victoria, I've been to only one play, but it was well acted and a wonderful story. Great stop for date night.

I've attended various plays at this small, comfy, unique venue over the years, and while the plays have their own merit, the old church, converted to a theatre, is absolutely a star in it's own right. It has character that rivals any actor that has graced its stage! The performance we attended was "Bang Bang" which still has us talking about the subject matter weeks after attending. I love this about theater vs cinema: you concentrate on the dialogue and acting and sets, and are not mired in the millions of details that a modern movie is made of.

Wonderful venue in interesting building and location. Reasonable pricing and quality performers. Some risk that choice of plays is driven by canadianess rather than quality.

Absolutely stunning theatre. From the courtyard outside to the bright lobby inside, everything is is picturesque. Lovely staff and we'll curated, interesting programming. I've seen a variety of shows here and they've all been wonderful.

We always enjoy the plays at the Belfry Theatre. The actors and stage staff are professional and the plays are well produced and directed. I have attended live theatre for over five decades and what we see at the Belfry Theatre is among the best I've seen.

The Belfry Theatre is fully accessible and the front of house staff and volunteer ushers are helpful and considerate.

Beautiful old church converted into a live performance theatre. Seating and acoustics are really good, as are most performances. BoomX is definitely worth seeing.

Seen in movie "monkey up" at 43min21sec. It's the big yellowish building on right in the scene. The scene was shot from inside fernwood square.

A beautiful theatre. Seating was so well organized that you could see the stage from wherever you sat. Perfect.

Beautifully renovated, loads of support from community! A really intimate venue for theater. I have found the quality of actors and shows varied and nicely surprising. We just saw Mama's Boy. A very moving production! Thank you

Small venue but not a bad seat in the house. Good acoustics also. Have enjoyed every show we have seen there. They offer a good variety of shows, from music to dance to theater. Located in funky Fernwood. Fernwood Inn and Stages are both across the street if you want to have dinner and/or a drink before the show. Both are great, though I am partial to the Fernwood Inn.

I respect any theatre, like this one, that considers for production new plays by Canadians. Real theatres concentrate on new works. "Museum" theatres and summer stock companies do, mostly, re-mounts, and are unworthy either of attendance or Canadian taxpayers' money. Belfry deserves its higher rating, by far the best on the west coast.

And, certainly, more worthy than that big chintz emporium in Vanouver!

This is one of the last truly great and original theatres around. It's sad what's happening to theatre and this place gives hope to the industry and grat creative people. Regardless of the show, they will make you feel at home; it's upscale without being too fancy and has a good concession!
