Bought a gift card during Boxing Week and the back got damaged during scratching. I contacted customer support for a replacement and they told me they could get it done if I bring it to the store.

I arrived to the customer service waiting over an hour and the trainee handling the counter said to me "no, we can't replace it" and told me to get lost.

It takes so long to get in contact with someone to get support or ask questions about products via the customer support phone number and the customer service in-person is aggressive.

Horrible customer service. When they make a mistake they will only help you if you come into the store and then will tell you they will update you over email, but will never email you and not reply to your emails. They won't answer the phone either. So you have to constantly travel to their physical store to get updates on them fixing their mistake. Worst customer service. Will only use online ordering in future, if I ever use them again.

I bought an AC at the beginning of the month and it went on sale, came in today to get a price adjustment. Jason was moving around so efficiently between customers, while still providing such great customer service. I was in and out within two minutes, super fast! Jason was super polite throughout the transaction when asking to see my phone, and I left very impressed with the level of service I was provided. Wanted to make sure I shouted out hard work when I saw it! Thank you for being so kind and efficient:)

Received an online order from Burnaby today and my package (special edition Nintendo Switch) arrived damaged. After being told that there are no in-store options for exchanges and I would have to send in the package to get a refund issued and then place another online order and maybe receive another damaged product I am considering returning my order altogether and using the refund to buy from Wal Mart, where there is a local store to deal with these issues if the arise.

If it were possible for Best Buy to send another Switch to the closest store where I could simply exchange mine for one that is not damaged, I might stick with them for this purchase. However, apparently this is not possible. Great customer service agent over the phone but overall bad customer service as a company. Don't think I'll be purchasing from them again after this poor experience.

to get a new phone and I had excellent service from Kavir at the mobile counter.
He transferred everything over from my old ancient phone and helped me get set up with my new one which I really appreciated. He is very kind and helpful.

Came today instore and looking to buy a go pro. The device is locked inside of a cabin, when I asked the associate can I have a closer look of the whole package (Because I want to check what is included in the "special bundle"), he refused instead showing me a online picture. Then I told him I want to purchase it, he finally took it out but when I requested can I at least double check if the packaging Is in good shape. He refused again and said " You have to pay first ". So I can't even check the package of the good I am about to purchase? TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, at the end of the day I still bought it because I need one. Great location, but very BAD EXPERIENCE.

I had my playstation 5 from this store. The ps5 crashed everytime i turned it on for 4-5 days, so i returned it in the same store, the store returned it, took my details and said they will call me if they get any ps5. I went to the store today to check if there was stock. An employee Deepan said he will take my contact again, and while i was looking back, he threw the note having my contact to the dustbin in front of me. I said i wanted to talk to the manager and he said he is the manager. So long best buy for selling faulty ps5s and not giving an ounce of respect to a customer for asking for a new one when i got the same faulty one from the same store!

It’s small branch compares to the other branches. I was going to buy my drone from there on Saturday they told me the system is down and I cannot use my credit card. They left my drone at pick up area and told me they will call me back when the system is working. They did not call me back ever (bad customer service). Anyway you will find most of the appliances, mobiles, laptops, computers, gaming and more stuffs to buy.

I had the most frustrating time looking for a single DisplayPort to HDMI Cord. As mentioned. I went in looking for a cord I found on the online website. Ended up at the theatre section by myself (which is fine) asked a guy there if there is any others as I didn't see the one on sale. He said I should head to the computers area but wouldn't take me there, but said he would call someone to meet me there (never met anyone there). Asked someone in the section, but he was polite enough to show me the general area but was left on my own to look. Looked for 10 min at all the different options. Went back to ask for help and he scanned the website option I had brought with me, but seemed pre-occupied with someone else. Said, if it isn't here then it's in this section further down by Geek Squad. Went to that area looking for it and still couldn't find it. He told me to ask one at Geek Squad once I get to that area. They were all pre-occupied until one lady was available but she didn't have any idea and just pointed to one area and left me be. I decided to go back and talk to the first guy that assisted me in the cables area of the computer section but he wasn't anywhere to be found, but a new guy was there so I asked him. He told me yeah we have it but not out on display it's in the back. Like WHAT? So he went and got it for me. This experience was so bad. I'll be shopping online and waiting the extra day to get anything moving forward.

Overall I did not enjoy my experience at this location. First thing, 3 sales associates approached me at 3 different times. I know that is their job but the way I was approached I felt like I had to buy something.

So I finally decided to buy a laptop case and external hard drive. I asked the cashier the return policy because I need to check to see if my macbook pro which already have a hardshell will fit in the case. I was not planning to open it but just compare it. She had a thick accent so it was hard to understand her but she said 30 days if it is not opened. I said okay. But she continued on about it being COVID and final sale. So then I asked her, "So it is final sale? " she said "yes".

She seem to clearly not know the return policy so I decided to not move forward with the purchase because I do not want to be stuck with products that will be brand new in the box but not eligible for a return.

Please train your employees.

I had the WORST experience at this store. My laptop charger broke and even though it was fixable, the employees at Best Buy didn't even want to take a look at it, they just said they didn't fix chargers. Ok. So one of them offered me an "universal" charger and when I questioned if he was sure that it would work on my laptop (I showed him my charger) he said, as if it was SO OBVIOUS, "yes, it's an universal charger, it works for all laptops". I was in a big hurry, so I bought it and guess what? When I got home it didn't work. I had to take another bus and lose another two hours to get the right charger for my laptop. When I was ready to pay, the difference for the correct charger was more than 20 dollars. After I talked to the manager, she gave me a 10 dollar discount because apparently that's how much 4 hours of my life is worth for Best Buy. Would never recommend it.

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCE FROM BESTBUY! This is my experience. I went to Metrotown Bestbuy Store bought a Gas Range & Dishwasher. I talked to the Sales paid all hall-away service, and they confirmed said No Worries. Installers will take away your old stuff. But the guy came install the gas range they refused to take old range away and said other team will do it. When I called their quickcontactor they said I did not paid this service. How could they made this mistake, I even have the details the Sales written in paper showed hall-away cost is all covered. Now the old range is sitting beside my front door, I called and called listening the waiting music, one department just kicking the ball to other department.this is my last time buy anything from Bestbuy!

Worst buying experience of my life. Ordered a new TV. Was told it would it arrive in ~6 days. 13 days later without any word from best buy, tracked through the courier to find it was damaged. It was returned to best buy and now almost a month later STILL nobody from the store has reached out to tell me what is going on. Are they ordering me another unit? Am i out $1000? Will I ever hear from the store? Will i ever get my TV? Will i ever get a refund. Nobody seems to be able to tell me.

Bought a car phone mount and the quality and comfort compared to Canadian Tires one is way better. Not much difference in price tho. They even took cash when I forgot to bring my cards.

Bought an omen gaming laptop from the store. The windows was not properly set up and has administrator locks that cannot be bypassed. Can’t even use the computer or restore to factory default in any way. Terrible customer service never mentioned the fact that they will have to unlock the computer. Time consuming to go through another round of customer support

I purchased and picked up my 75” TV two days ago. I wanted to return it for a better one, unfortunately the truck I used to pick it up is at the mechanics, so I called BestBuy to come pick it up as the below picture clearly says they would (even offered to pay for this). They refused to pick it up because it wasn’t delivered to me the first time. Why isn’t this mentioned on your website?

When i walked in the store, i approached a gentleman to ask where i can purchase computer speakers, they helped me out right away that was okay. I knew what i was going to buy which was okay. I got what i wanted and when i was about to pay i asked for a bag that would fit the a medium sized box of speakers and unfortunately they did not, which is odd because before best buy use to have big bags for electronics.

Anyways, i then asked again where i can go to pick up an order i have purchased in the website, he pointed at the back of the store. Obvs the line was super empty. I got help from this girl, her energy was super low, sad and looked like she did not appreciate her job, i mentioned to her i was there to pick up a product, she asked me for 2 pieces of ID, i waited for a few mins for them to get it. I received the box, i had zero hands to cary the big box for them, so she asked me if i needed help, she paged someone. As i was waiting, i was looking at the box and was curious to why it wasnt as big of a box. I looked at the description and it was a complete wrong order, i told her that this is a WRONG ITEM And this lady said “uh yeah, i was wondering why that looked wrong” - omg this lady could have told me this the first time that box was in front of her face. If i had not looked and investigated the product i would have gone home with the wrong one. Terrible service lady, you shouldnt be working at all.

Overall, if you are going to best buy do your own research and purchase an item and get the heck out of there. Best buy use to be good with their service but that was in the 2000’s, everything just went downhill from there. I had another incident for trying to talk to someone on the phone with their 1800 number and sheesh, dont even go there, horrible horrible service, cant even understand what they were saying, they talk to you like you are stupid when i was just want a simple answer. They dont got the brains. Or service at all.overall service needs to be fixed or they will loose customers and stores.

Spoke to 6 different people to fix an issue with my order, then Suddenly 2 days after I ordered my stuff I got an email stating my order was canceled, I have already been billed for half the order,
All I tried to do is fix a shipping adress
The product i wanted to purchase was on sale for 200 off, it was a 2000 dollar laptop, when they canceled my order they offered me 10% off a new purchase upto 100$, not even nearly as good as the "sale" offer that I ordered originally. Witch was not a great deal anyways, Costco had the same laptop 20bucks cheaper then sale price, not on sale.

I picked up my laptop and the guy there was rushing me and they didn't even set up my laptop properly. If the guy wants to take his break then he should have find someone else to help me. They literally just gave me my laptop and was like figure it out

Wow! I have never felt so taken care of! I found the employees at Best Buy Station Square amazing! (I wish that I got the name of the guy serving me) although everyone was very helpful. They made my home theater creation enjoyable!

I went to best buy, at Metrotown Station square, to exchange the Boss QC earbuds i just bought a day ago which didn’t fit. I was very disappointed and frustrated but luckily i met Ashritha who did a wonderful job in help me find something worth the money i spent. She was very patient, compassionate and knowledgeable. She took the time to address my concerns and gave me a genuine advice about the products. I decided to take the apple air pods pro for exchange. She made sure it worked and fits perfectly before i leave the store. The overall process was very smooth, my exasperation melted away and i felt well taken care of. Thanks a lot Ashritha for the amazing customer service, you made my day!

I have brought a DJI drone, wireless headphones and a laptop from the store. Overall I feel very welcome and taken care of in the store. I used to purchase electronics from the visions store. But I switched to Best buy cuz I did not feel as welcome and appreciated in that store. Overall the store is good size and has all the things you could be looking for and all the major brands.
One COMPLAINT I would like to mention is that when I completed my drone purchase and paid for it ONLY then the cashier let me know a very vital piece of information that I will not be refunded a 100 percent of my amount paid in case I return the drone even within 24 hours. I wasn't planning to return it and I haven't as I like it and I use it every day but I felt that this was a very important piece of information which the customer should have been provided before he makes his purchase since this one was close to a 1k. It has definitely stuck in my mind and I will remember it anytime before i or anyone I know purchases anything in best buy.

There was a woman who I think is a new manager or something, and she forced me to leave the line up at customer service to go stand outside the store. People were going in and out casually and there were a few people still in line. But for 15 minutes she made me stand there as the line moved. It was very odd because I caught her just staring at me a few times. I finally had to just casually walk in while she was busy with something else. She saw me in the line and wanted me to go back outside but I just looked down at my phone and she stopped trying. I think she knew she was being very unreasonable and making others a bit uncomfortable. After that I just returned my tv and bought a better one and every other staff member was normal. As a former employee of the Richmond location I have never seen anything like that and I wont be making more major purchases at this location anymore.

I bought a faulty security camera, and had to exchange it. Shailan guided me to the best technician in house. Deepan the tech guy, was super cool. Not only did he check the faulty device, he also got me the best deal and got my security camera exchanged. These guys are amazing. Riza was super friendly. Good team, good experience and amazing customer service.

Asian guy named Frank, was rude and condescending. I came in with some questions about warranties, which he couldn't answer without being sarcastic. You'd think somebody who works as a door greeter at Best Buy would be more humble, and/or helpful.

I purchased an item Tuesday night December 1, to be picked up in the store. The item was ready ONE minute before closing. I was told i have to pick it up today, December 4th because they included Tuesday as 1 day hold even though it would have been impossible for anyone to pick it up literally a minute before they closed. I now have to use sick time at my job to leave early so I can get there before closing since my hours the last 2 days proved I would not get to the store after opening or before closing. The fact they made me lose out on an entire day of holding for ONE MINUTE. I would have purchased this item on amazon if they had it. Years of not going to best buy and my first time back, I get screwed over.

The person who helped me is Koosha, he made me more the happy by making the best deal for me. He is so patient, and honest person.i have no problem sending friends and family member to him again.

This is by far the worst service I have received from any Best Buy Location in BC. The staff is not only unaware of their products and services, they also have a Team Lead who goes by the name of Nikki, who not only comes across as uninformed and unprofessional, but has the audacity to be condescending and mildly rude on being asked a question with regards to a service that Best Buy offers. Went in to this Metrotown outlet of Best Buy to get my screen protector replaced as per the lifetime warranty and the one time fee that I have paid when I first purchased it from there (Best Buy- Kamloops), and was told they would replace and apply it on the phone on breakage and it was never a problem at the Best Buy location in Kamloops. But this location of Best Buy at Metrotown tells me there is no such service, and this lady indirectly claims I am lying, and when I showed her the receipts for all the times I got this replaced in the Kamloops location, she makes up non-sensical reasons to deny service, rather than trying to help or at least being nice. She also looks defensively and speaks with a raised tone. Mind you, all through this, I was being nothing but nice to these guys, but hey, what service. Best Buy should seriously work on the kind of customer service they provide and such an untrained and uninformed staff. I am disgusted with this experience and don't think I would ever want to go back.

I was a dedicated spender at this store but after the store did not back their extended warranty which I paid for that was it. I hate Best Buy because they'll lie to your face and not back up what they sell. Maybe its just this store but I'll never spend another dime here.

Hi,

I bought an inexpensive two-in-one tablet from this location several months ago, and also purchased two years worth of insurance on the product. All was well.

I recently lost the power cord and went to the store to purchase a new one. I brought the laptop and spoke to an employee and he sold me a product for about 80 dollars. I got it home, and the power cord did not fit my laptop.

I returned the product and received a 20 dollar gift card for my inconvenience. Fine. Mistakes happen and I appreciated the gesture.

The real problem, and reason I am writing this review, is that when I then inquired about getting a power cord that would actually work, they suggested that I locate the old one. When I stated that I needed a new one, they told me that they would have to order it in and that it would cost me 150 dollars.

150 dollars? ! The computer itself only cost around 250 dollars in the first place, so this seemed rather expensive. I expressed this to the manager, Afshin, and he asked "what do you want, do you want us to give you a free one? ". He had been very friendly up to this point, but for one reason or another, he became very defensive when I suggested that the price was unreasonable.

He said that I had no right to complain because he had given me a 20 dollar gift card. I explained that the 20 dollar gift card was for his employee selling me the wrong product yesterday, and that I appreciated that, but that it had nothing to do with what I perceived to be over-charging for the power cord. I offered my hand, in an attempt to acknowledge that I was thankful for the gift card, and calm down the situation, but he refused to shake my hand and walked away. Something must have gotten lost in translation.

I was not blaming him. If it is store policy to charge that much for an ordered product, then my complaint was with the store policy and not with Afshin.

Another employee then offered me the "customer service" number and suggested that I call (and agreed that the price was ridiculous). I called the number, explained the situation, was assured that someone from the Burnaby store would phone me within 48 hours.

One week has passed, no call.

So, I am writing a review.

It's not a big deal. I found the power cord elsewhere for 30 dollars (plus 30 for shipping). I originally bought my computer from Best Buy because I figured that, even though the pricing is likely to be a little more expensive than one these smaller computer stores, the service would be worth it if I happened to have a problem of some sort. This was not the case, at all. Lesson learned.

I will not be shopping at Best Buy again.update: the 20 dollar gift card I received is invalid, LOL. I don't mean to be rude, but these people are truly useless.

I've been ringing the phone at this location for 15+ plus minutes on every department, at this point it's clear the people at this location simply do not care about actual customer service. No decent human being would listen to a phone ring that much and just ignore it. The store is always empty when I go in there especially this early in the morning, and I'm definitely not the only person who's had choice words about the customer service and lack of phone response from this location. Honestly if you're not going to pick up the phones don't bother having a phone number considering it's useless to call you guys.

I got followed around like I was going to steal something. When i tried to ask questions guy following me around was SO rude and made me feel SO unwanted. Meanwhile i had $1000 of xmas purchases from apple store and the Bay clearly on my arms. I felt so uncomfortable I left before buying my last gift. Zero stars if i could.

Large selection of electronics. Probably the largest one you could find in non- online store. The nice thing is that you can " touch and try" something that you are going to buy.

Management at this location has always been kind. Staff is usually really quick to help as long as it's not too busy. When it is busy (during major sales, Black Friday, etc) it takes a bit of patience to get help but that is understandable. Great place to buy electronics and appliances and the TV department is exceptionally amazing.

Best Buy. The showroom is large and expansive and the no commission sales staff are neither knowledgeable nor too pushy. Prices trend to be on the higher side while selection is on the lower side. Phone section staff are particularly useless. Come to check out what you want to purchase online.

I bought my new washing machine at this best buy and the appliance was not working after installation. Was offered to wait a few days for someone to come check it out and they were treating me as if there was no rush to provide me with a working machine. If you guys take my payment in a matter of seconds I have the right to receive my product in a timely and professional manner. They also initially offered me to get the broken appliance picked up and get a credit to buy a more expensive model and get it delivered a week later. They treat you as if you have all the time in the world and you are available to accommodate their schedule to fulfill the job they get paid to do. After 5 hours on the phone with the customer support and the store manager/supervisor I accepted to get a whirlpool technician to fix the machine 4 days after it was paid for and installed in my home. End result: the washer works and I spent 900$ + a few hours getting mad on the phone + 3 trips to the laundromat since I didn't have a machine. *Shout-out to David for being more of a (bad person to deal with) than anyone else. I guess they pay you enough to sell your soul.

Worst Bestbuy experience in this store. I was looking for a salesperson to help me but each time I have walked upto someone, they seemed to be uninterested. Also an empoyee bumped into me while walking and talking to another customer. He didn't even acknowledge me or atleast say sorry but just kept walking. Not recommended to shop if you need recommendation or assistance to buy your product. Go to some other location.

Only good to buy items to test at home and return within the set number of days and either price match or buy where less expensive.
