Best Western Inn At Penticton

Breakfast was great! The door in our room had an issue and wouldn't close, but otherwise, a comfortable stay.

Not the best Best Western, but certainly not worst hotel we've stayed at. Overall, it was a pretty clean facility and breakfast was good: was a bit sad there was no bacon, but my arteries thanked them and besides, the waffles were great. The hotel is walking distance to the lake and the Dragon Boat Restaurant, as well as a ton of other spots. It's a short drive from the north downtown tourist area but with the bonus of south side peace and quiet. The only real gripe we had was that our room was not ready at the 1600h check in time and we couldn't get into it until 1700h. Normally wouldn't have been too much of an issue except we were exhausted after a very long rushed drive to get to a hospice for a difficult goodbye.

Love that it had access from our room to the lovely pool and barbeque area in the back of the hotel in Penticton.

Our stay here has been great, the rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast is amazing and with lots of options, staff is very friendly and helpful.

The only problem is that out of the 4 days my husband and I stayed here, we didn't get room service, not even once. We did put the sign out our door saying we wanted the room to be cleaned, but it didn't happen. Very disappointing.

Great location, less than 1km from Skaha Lake (approx 12 minute walk). Very nice rooms with housekeeping that will actually clean your room. Unlike every other hotel that will clean the room maybe if you ask repeatedly.
Beautiful green space with bbq, two pools (indoors and outdoor) excellent hot tub, lots of lounges. It also has laundry facilities for guests.
I think the room had been recently remodeled because everything looked new. Good air conditioning and very comfortable mattress.
Included was a full hot breakfast, including fresh fruit, waffles, cereal, baked goods. The best we had on our vacation. Would stay here again. 100%

Excellent location with an awesome breakfast (open till 10: 30!). Super close to skaha, about a 3 minute drive with lots of places a short drive away. Nice family friendly environment with an outdoor and indoor pool, hot tub, lots of bbqs for your use, tables, green space, small playground and even a projector for movie night every night. The breakfast being open till 10: 30 is amazing, it’s not a game changer in regards to what is offered, it’s pretty standard but being open that late gives you a chance to sleep in a bit! The only downgrade is for the rooms, they are slightly dated and the beds (double beds) need replacing. I would still give this place 5/5 because of the totality of the place and all it offers.

Went to the tlc/ Shaggy concert. It was my first time there. The venue was great. The sound was awesome. The only thing I suggest is making a bigger smoking area.the area you couldn't even get to.it was more like a mosh pit.but besides that, it was great.

Thank you to this hotel for graciously taking my daughter and her pet cat in on short notice when she was evacuated from our condo in Kelowna due to the wildfire. As worried parents, I was happy and thankful to see her in good spirits when I picked her up to take her home. On behalf of my family, a big thank you to the staff!

Love the place. Great family location, free breakfast, nice facilities. One of the desk staff members has been known to be volatile, but the rest are very nice

THANK YOU for the work servile experience- for a hotel to make you feel welcomed like family and a long time friend is far and few. Your courtyard is beautiful from morning till night. The owners were always aware of individual needs and always ensuring things that needed doing were done - and by themselves. The check in ladies were amazing friendly and fun! And your breakfast lady - WOW! That’s exactly who we need to greet us every morning! Breakfast was phenomenal/ from kids to seniors, health conscience to gotta try everything you made sure the mist finicky would be happy with the choices.

We were there this weekend.
We found that the management had paid attention to the previous reviews.
Our room was updated.and the only negative was there was no place for soap/ shampoo in the shower that we were told would happen soon.
I had the privilege of being the only one in the indoor pool.early in the morning …before the heat built up.
It was soooo warm. (not a brave one for cool water!)
The front desk attendants were all courteous and helpful.
The breakfasts were very good…and equally the service.
We feel that it is expensive but also realize this is July.
Happy with our stay.

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. Kris the hotel reception was incredibly rude and does not have an ounce of hospitality and should not be working as your front desk agent. The manager Kelly also had a horrible reaction to our unfortunate situation. They should not be employed in hospitality. If it wasn’t for the fact that this was a tribute trip for my late mom I would have never continued with this reservation.

Kris was incredibly rude on the initial phone call, not willing to help, and then passed me over to his colleague to book me in.

The booking agent booked me at a rate of $1314.40 per night including all taxes. When I got to the counter on July 25, Kris was there and was extremely unfriendly, so rude to the point I was in tears in front of him and that is only when he changed his tune. He charged me $1325 and change and told me to take up the $9 difference. Kris was also condescending about the $9 difference “you mean the $9”, it was $9 on each room and this was after online it quoted me almost $200 dollars less which they would not match and the online booking platform was not working to book.

We went to speak to the manager the next day Kelly. Kelly already had a narrative in her head about our reservation and comes out to greet us by saying “oh is this the reservation about the $9”, saying it in a rude and condescending way, similar to how Kris expressed his opinion.

Kelly took his side immediately and then eventually started to understand our side and said she would handle Kris’ approach with him.

This wasn’t the only trouble we had at this location. We asked for two blankets as we had to use both beds and the AC was fairly cold, Kris gave us one only and said “yeah they don’t trust us here at best western I guess” in reference to providing us another blanket.

Not only did we not get two blankets and one of our sleeping areas was incredibly cold when sleeping on the pull out, I proceeded to ask the house keeping lady for a blanket and they did not bring an additional one up either. I asked twice the housekeeping department and Kris was asked once and not not provided the additional blanket that was asked for.

This experience was traumatizing. This was a location we visited when we were younger with my mother who recently passed and we wanted to do a tribute trip to her.

Kelly even went so far to quaetipn who my mother was as If we were lying about the reason we were coming.

Kelly said “what was your mothers name, I’ve been here for 30 years. ” in a questioning accusatory way when addressing the unfortunate situation when dealing with Kris and the money owed back to us.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
Do not stay here. Way better customer service in Penticton. I was left traumatized and did not even want to have any contact with the hotel.

I am actually concerned for my information in their computer as Kris was so terrible and treated me with such hatred.

The property is dated and in need of a reno. The location is good with close proximity to the beach.
The hotel does not have handicapped accessibility to the second floor (50% of rooms are stair only access). The hotel does not advertise the lack of accessibility so be prepared to be assigned a 2nd floor room on arrival.
The front desk staff did not seem at all concerned when advised we needed accessible access.

I find the prices all over have gone crazy, ive been a Best Western member for years so im expecting to be treated good.

Excellent hotel especially if you intend to spend time at Skaha Lake Beach area. Wonderful breakfast with wafel machine. Breakfast included. Fresh fruit etc.friendly staff. Two pools (indoors and outdoors).

If you’re looking for a hotel in penticton, this is by far the best choice. After staying at different hotels/ motels around penticton for the last 8 years, the best western easily takes the cake. The customer service is fantastic, Tomos the head maintenance worker and his crew are always visible up-keeping the facility. Diane and Susan in the breakfast quarters always had a smile on their faces. Not to mention the breakfast was top notch! Easily a 20$+ breakfast for free everyday! I will return, and so should you!

Best Western is fantastic. Clean rooms. Clean beds. Dianne and Suzanne make an exceptional breakfast every morning.

I would also like to thank Tamas for his hospitality. The place looks awesome. Kind of a hidden gem in Penticton over here.

We have stayed at this location previously, and I will continue to book a room here as it is a fantastic hotel. The staff is amazing, the breakfast is wonderful, and the pools and hot tub are the best in Penticton.

Adorable motel with kitchenette suites that are basically 1brm apartments. The courtyard is delightful with ample tables with umbrellas, an outdoor pool plus an indoor pool. The provide a great buffet breakfast included.

My husband built the superstore there and had a lot of people stay there. Service was always great. We decided to do a little get away and was disappointed on a few matters. We met “Tomas” and he was all about customer service. He resolved our concerns. Best Western is very lucky to have him on the team. I suggest you try and bring more staff like him on board. Such a lovely man.

Awesome first experience with this place - staff, cleanliness and breakfast were beyond expectations

Distgusting disgusting place. It is incredible how extremely UNFEASIBLE this place is to stay. For 4 nights in July they quoted me 1680$ for A REGULAR ROOM. Now why in the living HELL would I not just go to Mexico for that price.this is actually so disgusting how these MASSIVE corporations can triple their hotel fees at any time. This kind of stuff is EXACTLY WHY we're in such a financial hardship and depression. WE PAY TOP DOLLAR FOR EVERYTHING.the sad part is some other giant corporate monkey is going to rent that room without a wince amd vy next summer itll be 1800 for 4 nights. WHEN WILL THIS END.

Yesterday I checked in tired and ready to enjoy my stay we have been reoccurring guest for 10 years! Check in was one of the worst I have ever experienced paige (the bald head lady) was the one on desk and made me feel not welcome and like I was a problem. We had my 3 kids and dog in tow and I guess when I booked it glitched and said 2 adults only. She told me the room I booked would be the last time and I wouldn't be welcome back. After a rude check in and making me cry after I left to room she did call to see if it was ok in room I replied a quick yes to get off the phone with the women who made me feel like I was garbage and really made it so I never want to use the property again even tho it's our fav spot when we come to town. The room was a bit dusty but other then that clean and ready to accommodate us. The pool area is amazing and clean as usual. Breakfast this morning I was greated by the most lovely lady kind caring and compassionate I explained my situation and she got me to go to front desk and the lovely young lady working helped us so we could go back up feed my children breakfast both ladies were sympathetic and apologized and said that this not how guest are treated! These two ladies deserve a raise for being amazing staff! We left this morning with full bellies and a smile! I really don't think I'll come back if Paige is working there and won't recommend my friends or family to book there either!
