Best Western Plus Fernie Mountain Lodge

Beautiful view outside the hotel of the mountains! Was happy to see it’s attached to a boston pizza! Went there for drinks and apps, and our room the view is also amazing! Wasn’t expecting to have a view like this. Very clean, staff is nice! Nice clean pool we went swimming in, and homemade cookies at the front desk! Would definitely recommend staying here! Free breakfast in the morning, can’t ask for better! Thank you so much:)

If you want a sore back stay here, as the mattresses are the equivalent of a piece of foam. 3 out of 4 of us woke with sore backs. Spend some money and get some decent mattresses.
Dreading sleeping here 2 more nights. May find myself sleeping on the floor, so disappointing!

I must change my review based on my recent visit.
Friendly staff are gone! Front desk refused to accept my promotion voucher at the time of check-in saying it’s because booking was non-refundable and payment is already processed as if refund is against law in Fernie!
This morning lobby and to some extend all floors was filled with smoke of bacon coming out from restaurant, when I told the front desk staff about the issue response was so cold and ignorant!
Room AC makes noise. No improvement to fitness room despite many negative reviews.
Expensive (up to $600CAD in July 2023 for a king size bed bedroom) and overrated hotel.
I have to stay in Fernie time to time for my work and much prefer the Lizard Creek Lodge.
Not recommended at all.

Housekeeping could’ve been done better. I had to take a shower with lukewarm water even though tap was all the way up towards hot water, which was very refreshing!
Fitness room is very small and uncomfortable for 2 person work out same time.

Room was great. No bathroom fan though which was odd. Kind of a pain for steaming up and humidifying the room. Couldn't get a late check out which sucked because it altered our morning plans, but I understand their housekeeping was short staffed. The outdoor hot tub was so great, especially when the indoor one was packed with kids.

Spacious rooms with high speed internet and I used streaming apps on the smart TV with no issues. The free hot breakfast is a great addition. Hotel location is great, it is a walking distance from coffee shops, groceries and restaurants.

Nothing wrong with the hotel however i find the showers in the rooms need updating, the shower heads in the rooms I've stayed in (probably 3 different rooms over 7 stays for business) need updating for sure, one of my pet peeves in a hotel are poor showers. The hot breakfast that comes with the package my work gets is great and it's nice that there's a small gym and hot tub (an indoor and outdoor one). Overall a good place to stay.

Wonderful stay. Large clean room, with a bit of a view. Very convenient to Hwy 3. Boston Pizza will deliver to your room, but there are also lots of dining options close by. The nespresso coffee machine was a BIG bonus.

Great pet friendly hotel. Extremely clean and very comfortable beds. Great location. 2 minutes to off leash dog park

You just sink down into the bed for a very restful sleep. Good breakfast in the morning.
We have stayed here two different years and have always found it restful and pleasant, helpful staff.

Great location, great staff, good room, fantastic view! Was here for an extended ski break. Will be back!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this establishment. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, going out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at home. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, which really enhanced my overall experience. I truly appreciate the care and attention to detail that went into making my stay so enjoyable. Nice stay as per best western plus standards. The breakfast bar is pretty strict which I find strange. They check everyone’s room numbers and watch what you take from the bar, feels funky. Hot tub was nice both indoor and out. Classic

We had a great experience at this location. Room was nice, breakfast was good, and coffee is available in the lobby. Love BWP because our dogs are able to join us!

Nous sommes en vacances dans cette hôtel depuis 2 jours. Nous aimerions profiter du spa et de la piscine et relaxer. Il est impossible parce que des jeunes sans la surveillance des parents crient, sautent, courent et ne respectent rien. Nous avons avisé le service à la clientèle mais rien ne se passe.

Very disappointed in the fact that the hotel is charging me a fee to cancel. My three year old is sick and we can't travel.

This hotel was a good place to stay with kids. They enjoyed the pool, but it was almost unbearable to sit in the hot tub by the pool to supervise because of the echo in the room. It's just insanely loud. We enjoyed the outdoor hot tub as an alternative. The room was large which we loved but the beds were the absolute worst part of this entire stay. None of us slept well for 3 nights, which is really disappointing when you need rest to ski each day. This place needs new mattresses badly. The pull out couch bed was also terrible.

Good solid hotel centrally located. Spacious room with 2 queen beds. Breakfast is not recommended everything packed, little fresh. For example, there is powdered orange juice… but it is included.
