BETA Therapeutics

My experience with Beta Therapeutics has been profoundly disappointing. Over the past year, I have faced multiple issues that have made me question the quality of care and professionalism of this clinic.

First and foremost, I have had two different RMTs cancel on me for several appointments. This left me in a situation where I had already left my house, arranged childcare, or had my husband come home early from work to accommodate these appointments. As a new parent, this was exceptionally inconvenient and disruptive to my schedule.

While I appreciate that the clinical director recognized the excessive cancellations and reached out to apologize, the proposed solution was far from satisfactory. When I asked for suggestions on how to reconcile this situation, I was simply encouraged to book an appointment with an RMT who is less prone to cancellations. This response lacked empathy and failed to address the root of the problem.

On top of these cancellations, my son and I fell ill for two weeks, during a time when we are still navigating the challenges of the pandemic and approaching flu season. In the interest of safety, I decided not to attend the clinic and promptly notified the receptionist to cancel our appointments. However, I was never informed of any cancellation fees at that time.

It was only later, when reviewing my credit card statements, that I discovered I had been charged for those two cancellations. While I understand that under normal circumstances, cancellation fees may be applicable, it's crucial to note that their clinicians had canceled my appointments on at least four separate occasions, often just minutes before my scheduled time. This inconsistency in policy enforcement was frustrating.

When I reached out to the clinical director, the same person who had previously apologized for the cancellations, I expected some understanding or empathy given the circumstances. Instead, I was met with rigid adherence to their policy and a suggestion that the issue would be discussed at their next meeting. This lack of flexibility and customer-centric approach left me deeply dissatisfied.

In summary, my experience with Beta Therapeutics has been marked by unreliable service, unaddressed concerns, and inflexible policies. I would strongly caution others against seeking care at this clinic, as there are likely better options available that prioritize patient satisfaction and well-being over bureaucratic rules and inconveniences.

Dr Williams has helped me greatly with a recent (and reoccurring) issue with my neck. He has not only helped in alleviating my pain but also giving me home care so I can help myself with this issue. It is clear he cares about helping others. Highly recommend seeing Dr Williams!

I recently went to Isaac for chiropractic treatment and I must say, he was an amazing chiropractor. From the moment I walked in, he was very accommodating and kind, making me feel comfortable and at ease. He listened attentively to my concerns and thoroughly explained the treatment process to me, which made me feel more confident about the treatment.

During the treatment, Isaac was very professional and made sure that I was comfortable at all times. He was gentle yet firm in his adjustments, and I could feel the immediate improvement in my posture and overall mobility. Isaac also gave me some helpful tips on how to maintain my knee health, which was greatly appreciated and set me up for a accelerated recovery long term.

Overall, I highly recommend Isaac to anyone who is looking for a chiropractor. His kind and professional demeanor, as well as his expertise in chiropractic treatments, make him an exceptional practitioner. I am grateful for his help and will definitely be returning for future treatments no matter the distance!

Great office, great staff. Took about a month to get an initial interview with Dr. Cutfeet but I was told that up front and completely understand that a new clinic takes time to onboard clients. I have no issues paying a small monthly fee for services like an annual physical, access to a dietician, and mental health assessment as those services are not covered by MSP anyways and are not inexpensive.

I am very excited to have such an extensivet range of services available and so close to where I live. I thank the team at Beta for getting off to such a great start.

Called today to see the earliest I could see the family doctor. Earliest appointment is a month out. For a private clinic that advertises timely care, they have some work to do. They said it will get better in February, but it’s a bit much to charge people for care they don’t really have access to. It’s better than not having a family doctor for sure but not a great set up as it is now.

“We understand this model doesn’t work for everyone…” You’re right. A $100+ monthly fee doesn’t work for everyone. What an astute observation. We need to be reducing barriers not adding fees while people are struggling. Health care is for everyone.

OMG, I love Jessica (RMT). She knows the body so well and I love the pressure she puts on. After the first visit, I have referred her for all of my friends and family.

On Times colonist. I was intrigued, having a doctor for $100 (give or take) per month. Signed up for more information and to get enrolled in November. I then received a link that took me to information about the various programs I can sign up for. It was only then that it became apparent that the fee was per family member, and for an actual appointment it is $25 per person, at $181 per month and that still has some limitations and/restrictions. I personally do not care what businesses do that's their business, the thing that i found concerning here, is that it is not clear what the cost of this service actually is and it's disheartening for people seeking out doctors. I also noticed that anyone providing a review with a lower rating get the same response, stating this 'model doesnt work for everyone.voice your concerns to your local MLA. ' no response is required.

The new facility is amazing! Saw Jordyn and it 5 minutes I knew I would be back to see her again and again. Thank you!

I’m very pleased with the service at BETA Therapeutics. My RMT, Jessica, is amazing! She is an excellent listener and gauges her treatment to my needs. I highly recommend her and the helpful, friendly frontline staff…especially Cameron. Book an appointment soon, before they are all gone.

I’ve had an incredible experience with beta therapeutics. The environment is calming and the staff is welcoming and kind. Will definitely attend again.

I have been done 4-5 sessions at BETA Therapeutics with Jessica. She's gentle, knowledgeable and know exactly how to relieve my heel and knee pain. I have tried so many places in Victoria for over 1 year, BETA Therapeutics is the one I like the most. Front desk team provides a wonderful customer services as well as very positive attitude. I will definitely miss this place as yesterday was my last session with them. I hope this business will be more success and opened new places in Alberta if possible. Cheers!

I have been seeing Melissa for whiplash injury and have seen remarkable progress. She is patient and knowledgeable. The dry needling is a game changer for me and have given me so much relief. Also Marcelo, RMT, have been doing some work on the same injury and I cannot say enough about these two. They are professional and very attentive, actually enjoying what they do. The front desk staff are always welcoming and friendly. I have to imagine how nice their smiles are because they are following proper protocols and wearing masks. Highly recommend this office and have every intention of seeking and exploring all the services available at this office. Marcelo does not disappoint.

First massage I’ve had in a few years, I got a deep tissue massage targeted at my known sore spots/knots on my back. Jessica did a great job, went back two weeks later for a partial deep tissue and relaxation massage and it was heavenly. I’ve had bad knots in my back for years and it was nice getting them worked on.

I was very impressed with the Open, Sharing & Comprehensive information provided to my wife & I at the new office. Samantha, who revealed the plan to us, was a source of light in these dark family medicine days!

Melissa Altherum, the physio I have been seeing there is top notch. I have been to many physios over the years, and am very impressed with her knowledge and ability to explain what is happening/why, along with her gentle and supportive approach.
My knee is finally better and I have been able to get back to activities I love and even new ones I didn't think I could ever do! I recommend her 100%.
The clinic is also very clean, modern and organized, with wonderful staff.

I had massage there which was great, but as a clinic. I am really not impressed. They have no flexibility. I contracted Covid and before I could get better, I had to schedule 2 other appointments and write this review to avoid getting charged $40 for late cancelation. Covid hasn't ended yet, a bit more flexibility and understanding would go a long way.

I had several sessions with Dana and have nothing but good things to say about her. She has a calming tone and is very spot on with pressure, I very much enjoyed the attention to detail when adjusting various parts of the body and stretching or massaging based on what's needed, Will definitely be back!

BETA Therapeutics and all of their staff are fantastic. They always go above and beyond to ensure that I feel comfortable and am well supported. Their new location is lovely and The front desk staff are very accommodating when it comes to scheduling appointments.

Just recently I wasn’t able to make an appointment, but they were able to reschedule for later that very day! I really appreciate this as my schedule can get quite busy. I’ve only had a few massage therapy sessions for my back pain/soreness with them, and it’s already started to feel so much better allowing me to return to my regular physical activities. Overall fantastic service and accommodation, would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning should I face any future pains or soreness.

I have been going to BETA Therapeutics for the past few weeks now to get massage therapy and I have nothing but good things to say. The atmosphere is so peaceful and the staff are truly very kind and professional. They also do direct billing for icbc claims which made my process very easy and the receptionist was very helpful about what my options were. Definitely one of the best places to go if you need any treatments done!

Jessica has done an excellent job releasing the tension in my back I plan to continue therapy with her.

RMT services used/reviewed: Beta therapeutics is professional, has great COVID precautions and communication about the precautions, seamless billing by credit card on file, direct billing of extended health, ICBC direct billing (some practitioners) and emailed receipts. Very happy with their services.
