Better Bakes N'Eats

Definitely give their breads a try! They have a good variety of various type breads, you won't leave unsatisfied and you'd be back again for sure! I'm not gonna lie, I don't go there every day but a few times a month for sure!

Just recently moved to Lonsdale and love this place. Everything is fresh and delicious and the owner/operator is the sweetest lady. Her husband does all the baking, arriving at 4am everyday. A real bakery selling real food. I go there several times a week as we are lucky to have them in our neighbourhood and I love supporting small local businesses like this one.

This is a wonderful hidden gem in North Vancouver. I'm not over there very often but pop by every time I am. I suggest the hot vegetable rolls, the Italian loaf and any of the wonderful and fresh finds near checkout. The woman who works here (owner I think) is an absolute doll. This place is very deserving of local support. Go today! ️

My favourite bakery in the North Shore. Top tier. I LOVE their pies! Honestly one of the best apple pies I have ever had! 100% recommend.

They have the most delicious sausage rolls, I always go there before going to work to pick up a couple of them!

One of the best bakeries in North Vancouver. Easily. Everything I've bought from these guys has been great. The store itself is charming, the occasional loaf of artichoke cheese bread is mouthwatering. The counter staff are extroverted and friendly. They're usually playing music on the stereo. You can tell it's also a working bakery and not just a storefront with things made off-site. You can see right into the back where the magic happens.

What I'm writing this for though, is they have a little warming cabinet in the back that's constantly stocked with fresh sausage rolls, and usually lots of variations too. Chicken, Pork, Beef, sometimes empanadas too.

This is where you wanna go if you're searching high and low for sausage rolls. You won't be disappointed! I'd hit these guys more often for a big mountain of them if they healthier for you.:)

My partner and I love to frequent this bakery as it’s easily the best in town for their freshly baked bread and pastries. The store owner is so welcoming and friendly, it’s honestly difficult to go into this place without leaving with a handful of goods!
Their loaves stay fresh longer than COBS and it’s affordable too. Can’t recommend it enough:)

Here is a prime example of your moms fresh baking. These two are the kindest people one will come across. The prices are economical. The sandwiches are phenomenal. That $5 bill plus some nickels and dimes fills your palate with healthy ham and wonderful cheese. Thats my choice, you may desire something else. Selection, oh yes. The old school bakery and delicatessen lives on. Seriously pick up a six inch sub and you can head across the street to the RCMP detachment and fell like you have gone to heaven. Close your eyes and listing to the sounds a waterfall makes. There are plenty of benches and the RCMP are so welcoming. Consider a donation and you may reserve a space for a plaque on the bench. The Mom and Pop homestyle down to earth goodness lives on. I used to eat there daily and still do on occasion. Fat am I.

Highly recommended to ask for your receipt and check it out, she always add extra dollars to the amount that you should pay.

One of my favorite store with lots of healthy and tasty breads and buns to choose from. Best thing is the lovely lady who always helps people with smile.

This is my favorite bread shop hands down. Emma is always there to greet me with a smile and fresh baked goodies. Sandwiches are out of this world. Their cinnamon loaf is heavenly. Everyone at my office now goes there for fresh baked rolls. You must experience this store yourself:)

Delicious! Tried a sandwich which was very fresh and finally found a local place that does decent sausage rolls!

I have been there many times but yesterday the clerk was upset because I picked the bread up from the shelf and tried to give it to her for slicing but she refused saying it was too warm for slicing so I brought over another loaf and she said they could not slice it either. Then she asked me not to touch the bread - excuse me - when I looked there were NO plastic bags or gloves for handling the bread. Nor where there any kind of safety barriers so anyone could sneeze, spit whatever on their bread. I asked my doctor and she said this bakery is not abiding by the health safety regulations. I never noticed something like this before but now with the virus I a being much more aware of the stores I am shopping in. Sad because I like this store, but I will NOT be blamed for their lack of health protection of their product

I am impressed every time I buy goods here. The people are friendly and knowledgeable and their recommendations are always amazing. They don't use any preservatives and everything is delicious. The rye loaf with sunflower seeds and cranberries changed my relationship with toast.
