Easily the worst bike shop I’ve been to. I came in for a simple flat fix and the staff bent my rim, they also managed to get blood all over the rim and tire. When I brought up the new bend, the manager Stephen was extremely aggressive. Shaking mad and blaming me for the dent. After I left the shop, I found a new rim and later asked them to pay. They refused.

I wouldn’t go here for high quality bikes and knew this before… but maybe not a good spot for a simple flat fix either!

My original wheel is <2 years old. The replacement they offered me was a far inferior product. Much much heavier low quality wheel. Not at all what their response was below this comment.

I’ve been going to Stephen Kim for over 16 years. His knowledge and customer service is top notch. I will continue going to him not only for my cycling needs but also for my family and clients needs! Thank you Stephen for all the years!

Stephen @Bicycle Sports Pacific recently helped me adjust my roadshow cleat position on my road bike. Prior to Stephen's help I was unable to cycle more than 20km without my toes going numb and significant discomfort in both feet. The readjustments and expert guidance made all the difference, I'm now able to cycle pain free. Super appreciative for the assistance and troubleshooting. Thank you!

Horrible service. I needed an annual service on my road bike. I specifically needed the bottom bracket and headset to be cleaned up and lubricated. I was reassured by two (2) of the guys working there that the "comprehensive" service ($240) includes both cleaning and lubrication of the bottom bracket and the headset. I left the bike there with the promise that when the bike is ready they'll call me. Five days later I decided to give them a call. The bike apparently was ready, they just forgot to call me. I picked up the bike and started riding back home. Immediately noticed that the front wheel was installed backwards, the skewer lever was on the other side. Back home I disassembled the headset and found out that it wasn't touched at all (photo attached). Avoid this shop at any cost.

The service representative, Daniel was amazing and super helpful. I brought my bike to get some repairs done, not only did Daniel make the repairs promptly, but he was very informative about the process and explained clearly what may have caused them. If you're looking for a service rep, find Daniel!

Great customer service. They have always done a good job and will go out of their way to help you as best they can.

They make their own Drivetrain cleaner that is better than anything I've bought from mec or other bike stores. In the winter months I use Muc-off wet lube and it's impossible to get off the chain when I want to switch to dry lube. But their Drivetrain cleaner did the best job of melting it off than any other one I've tried. I can't recommend it enough! And they are a great group of people, very helpful and quick turnaround on repairs.

Poor service, they say they will call you when your order is ready but they do not. You have to follow up three times for things to actually get moving

The cashier was kind and helpful but the other guy on the floor had a terrible attitude and somehow had no idea what Code brake pads were so he just ''no'' when I asked if they had any available and walked away. They actually had about 20 pairs of Code pads in stock.

We've been here a couple of weeks ago since my bike seat was not really fitting for me. Mark (Marc?) helped us with his knowledge and found out what the real problem was, which we wouldn't have figured out by ourselves. After that he corrected my bicycle seat to be more comfortable. He also let me ride the bike in front of him so that he can check on my posture and adjusted the handles. Mark was really professional and knowledgeable about what he was doing. We would definitely visit here again for honest and professional help for our bikes! Thank you so much!

Went a couple months ago, there was a chain across the door as a barrier as they were only letting limited people in the store. I had to wait for customers to leave & that was fine. I went to go in after the customers left and was told to wait. Few minutes later I had the guy come to the door and he wouldn't let me in until I told him what reason or purpose I was at the store for. So I finally got let in the find the bike locks, super limited selection and extremely expensive for locks I found much cheaper elsewhere. Wasn't very inviting atmosphere to say the least

Great price, good prices, and good service. They really want to help you here and get you the best stuff.

Pretentious bikers that think they’re too good to help you. Came here to get 2 tubes replaced that costed $70. Had to wait 30 minutes because the staff was too busy talking to on the phone.

Then they made fun of my bike.

Super chill crew working here and they know their stuff. They helped us out popping a saddle back onto its rail after a crash messed it up, and they did it for free! Much appreciated. We dig the guy with the beard and the bandana ️

I absolutely love the bikes I got here. This time the bikes were ready the next day after we chose them, which is pretty fast. Stephen made our experience with BSP great, he made absolutely sure our new bikes were fitted properly for us and gave me few helpful tips.

Came in with my mind set on a bike and was ready to buy. Older man at front (manager?) was unpleasant and rude. Completely ruined it for me. Everyone else in the store was great but it’s a real shame that salesmen/managers feel like they can act like a-****s to customers just because bikes are a hot commodity right now.

John was great to work with. We started emailing first about my bike options. When I got to the store, the Kiwi woman was very nice and helpful and asked me to wait for John to be available. John was very patient and took his time with me. He also told me that I could come back to have some modifications done to the bike, since the bike is just a little too big for me but it was what I wanted (because of the price). Very friendly!

Definitely one of the best shops in Vancouver. Super competent mechanics and staff. Very helpful, best customer service ever!

You know that meme about bike store staff acting like gatekeepers to the anointed realm of cycle knowledge? This place.

I went into BSP for a bike safety check before a triathlon event and was not expecting to have a lot of repairs and need to replace my helmet. However, Marc explained in detail to me what was wrong with my bike and the reasons the repairs needed to be done. He made every effort to accommodate my tight timeline as well. The kind girl at the register (I'm sorry we didn't get your name) was also very helpful in answering questions about the new helmet we'd picked out and was simply very nice to talk to! Long story short, if you want great people who do great work, go to BSP Vancouver.

A disappointing 2-minute (because that's all they gave me) bike shopping experience at best. Unhelpful and borderline dismissive, providing information I know is untrue based on their own website and other bike shops I've visited over the past couple of weeks.

1 extra star for being dog friendly but customer service was terrible. Went in looking for an entry level bike at ~$1500 and a staff member said we had to double the budget with no other explanation. I can see on the business’s own website bikes within that price range. Very disappointing.

The staff member I had performing my bike service/inspection for the UBC triathlon (Will I believe) was SUPER friendly, and was also really great about identifying the areas of concern on my bike and providing details on what he was doing to fix the problems.
Would highly recommend BSP again for how informative and friendly the service was. They also got me in super quickly on a busy Sunday with no reservation.

I purchased my Checkpoint ALR 5 here and I'm impressed.

I wasn't pressured to purchase the bike immediately. I have come in for several hundred things since I've had the bike and they're always patient, willing to answer questions, and make sure that I enjoy my bike to its fullest extent.

If you want a bike that comes with great aftercare, come here. If you want great service, come here.

My wife and I bought 2 bikes from this store, at a thousand bucks each. The week after my chain broke, I went in the tech said it was not installed properly at factory. A few days after he fixed the chain, my gears started slipping when I would go up hill it got very unsafe so I went in to see what was going on with my bike. At this point I wanted to bring my bike back, very unsatisfied with what I just paid 1200 bucks for and I was told when I purchased it that I was covered under warranty. What a horrible expirence for something that should be easy going and friendly. I can't talk to no one about this there, the woman says I'm threatening them like what, I just asked how my warranty works and trying to have service for problems with a bike I bought a couple weeks ago. My bike from Canadian tire was better than this. Bottom line no service or anything to do with professional sales people at this place. I would stay far away if looking to buy a serious bike with real customer service. I've never been treated so poorly as a customer buying something this expensive.

Mark and the guy with the crow tattoo of Bart Simpson were great! Very helpful, accommodating and made my new experience of having a bike a lot better. I would recommend this place to all my friends!:)

The staff here are friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. Help is offered generously but without the pressure to buy or the feeling of being oversold. I ordered something online for in-store pickup and really appreciated the notification I received once my order was ready, and the personal reminder afterward when I wasn’t able to actually pick up my order right away. Great shop. Great service. It really was a pleasure to shop here.

Steve Kim and the team at BSP have been very friendly and helpful in sourcing a new bike in these difficult times.

A shop with integrity. I had prepaid (cash) for a repair although my documentation/receipt was somewhat inconclusive (I had the receipt but it was not marked paid).
When they identified that the part was unrepairable, I picked it up, but the refund was in question. They checked their process, the cash flow that day, and the staff. Even though they did not have a definitive record I had paid, they offered me the refund in question. I did not catch the names of the two guys that looked into it, but they went above and beyond good customer service.
As an aside the repair guy that examined at the part was also excellent in discussing my options.
Good staff, and a good place to do business.

I'm having a terrible experience with a CUBE Town Sport Hybrid ONE 400 e-bike that I purchased less than 5 days ago. In my first commute, the chain fell off and got stuck. I went to Bicycle Sports Pacific the next day and the staff told me that I was unlucky. The technician fixed the bike and affirmed that the bike was safe and reliable. Riding the bike for the second time today, the same problem happened. I had to walk the bike to the office and I was late for a meeting. Really disappointed!

Horrible guest service, the big lady at the desk with the accent was rude to my wife and I as soon as we walked in. We were looking for bikes for sale and she had zero interest in helping us. Heaven forbid she'd get out of her chair and show us around or ask what type of bikes we were looking for and point us in the right direction. When I questioned why she wasn't helpful, she said we could leave and nobody wants our business. We were dressed in regular summer clothes, not resembling junkies at all, maybe she just meant that she didn't want to do her job. We bought 2 great bikes later that day from a very kind bike specialist at another shop. Apparently someone did want our business. This place has really changed from several years ago when I used to recommend it to my guests and friends, what a shame.

Incredibly helpful staff! One of the employees (I think his name is Will) sold me a rear bike rack, and then offered to install it for free. The whole process ended up being quite complicated, as it turned out that my bike isn't designed to accommodate a bike rack, and Will spent almost an hour figuring out a way to install it. After that, he helped me make sure that my panniers fit the bike rack properly. Incredible service!

Ordered a pair of cleats in-store, they said would have a pair of cleats ready for pickup on a certain day.

When the day comes around, after many many attempts at calling, someone answers to inform me that it hasn't left the other BSP store.

No compensation or updated timeline. Pretty simple stuff to get right ‍️

I ordered a bike online and picked it up from the store a few days later. The store called me when it was available. The bike was as expected and service was efficient and friendly.

Received great service from Alisha at the Pacific store.initially the sales person told me that it would take 2-3 days to make some adjustments to my new bike purchase but Alisha made it right by getting their mechanic to do the tire swap on the spot and it only took 15-20 mins.saved me from doing myself.walked out feeling good about spending 1000's of dollars on a new emtb.

Waited in line today for about half an hour today to get inside the store before going in and grabbing exactly what I needed. Wasn't tended to but looked at several times by the employees as I stood in front of the cash waiting to be served. Must of stood there for about 15 min. No one said anything to me but rather tended to another few customers that had just come in the door as I stood there like an idiot. Was willing to spend a couple hundred there but I guess that wasn't quite enough. I put everything away and walked out. Unfortunately customer service was not on display today. I would have taken a "be right with you" but nothing. I will be taking my business to Reckless or Dunbar from now on.

Once again excellent and friendly service. Mudguards ordered through BSP; Kevin was happy to spare time in his day to install them for me.

This is my least favorite kind of repair shop - pushy and dishonest.

I brought my bike in for a very specific reason: to help diagnose the source of a clicking noise somewhere in the drivetrain. The next day they called me with a laundry list of everything they wanted to do to my bike OTHER than the reason I brought it in. Before I could even get a word in, I was being pitched their complete "Gold" package for $300-something.

I had to interrupt and ask about the clicking noise. "Oh.well, that's probably the pedals, " was the dismissive response.

Some of the work they wanted to do was definitely unnecessary - such as replacing the chain, which is less than 6 months old and no where even close to reaching end-of-life.

Other things they mentioned I'm well aware need some attention, but those are things I'm comfortable servicing myself, and most importantly had NOTHING to do with the reason I brought my bike in.

I told them to hold off on doing anything, and I'd come in so we can discuss in person. When I arrived, my bike was in their system as "Cancelled" and "ready to pick up", so the woman at the front desk brought it out me. No technician came out with it to talk. Which was fine by me, to be honest, I was happy to avoid any further upselling being pushed on me.

In reading through other reviews of this place, I see that the technician I dealt with has been specifically called out in others' negative experiences.

If you're in need of bike maintenance, I recommend Bikes For All and The Bike Doctor. The technicians there are able to focus on just the concern you have, if that's what you're after, and won't push their complete bells-and-whistles service package on you.

The store open was organized and I could find and try my new shorts. It was a good experience especially because I didn't want to buy it online without trying them on. The staff was very helpful and kind.

Had a look online for stock, I saw they had what I needed so I dropped by. Staff were efficient and friendly. Got what I needed and was on my way, all and all everything took about 10mins.

Good experience. Had a bit of a mishap with sizing initially. Due to previous experiences with other shops, I took a rather strict approach with emailing. To my surprise, they replied very quick and seemed to care a lot about their customers. The staff here are friendly, and would take as much time to help make sure that you make the right decision. Overall a very good experience.

Recently purchased a Trek Madone via an online order. Stephen from the shop was in constant contact until the bike was delivered to me in Sunderland, ON. The bike was very well packed and arrived in perfect condition. This would definitely be my go-to bike shop if I lived in the Vancouver area!

I purchased a road bike from Stephen at BSP earlier this week, and let me tell you, it was an incredible experience! Here are some highlights:

1) BSP's mission is to educate you about your bike as much as possible! I have gone into a lot of bike shops in Vancouver and felt silly I didn't know the lingo. Steven took the time to walk me through every component of the bike I was purchasing, and I learned a lot in the process. BSP is a safe zone for new bike purchasers, and is also an excellent spot if you want detailed information!

2) BSP worked with me to find a bike that fit my budget. No up-selling. I walked out knowing I was getting value for the money I was spending.

3) The BSP staff was COVID-safe, knowledgable, and kind.

4) When I entered the shop, I first chatted with the owner (Stephen) about my goals for the bike. We then compared two bikes to find the one that best fit what I was looking for. I left feeling confident knowing I had made the right decision.

I needed a helmet for bike riding and found them on the net. I did buy a bike there years ago in the early 90's or so. Anyway when I went in the store I was helped right away. I had the right helmet in my hand with in minutes. Of coarse I tried on a few different ones.
