Big O Tire Service Center Richmond

Had excellent service there until today. Called to ask if we can get our tires changed for same day appointment and was told by Rob that we are “the only person in Richmond who wants to have winter tires on”. We are happy to make an appointment for a later date but to be told that our call “amazed” Rob was not amusing.

As usual, a great job done from a garage I trust! Thank you for the prompt and polite service.

Worst tire service shop! Rob should be the boss, but this boss only cares about petty profits and takes advantage like crazy. The one who hung up the phone again pretended not to hear me. But don’t come to this place!

Prompt friendly service. They did the 4 tires on my Travel Trailer in under an hour. Will return next time I need tires for my Trailer or my truck.

Still the best guys in town for vehicle repairs. I get all my work done at this facility including mechanical repairs, oil and maintenance, winter tire/summer tire swaps.

I havent updated in a while.
I've been in repeatedly over the last couple of years. All has been as stated above. Workmanship, products, and services all Exellent!
From the lube/oil service and exhaust and brake work on my Toyota Highlander, to the Winter/Summer Tire swap service and lub/oil services and repairs to my Silverado work truck. All done at Big O Tire No. 6 Rd Richmond with confidence.

Super friendly! Got me in for a new tires the next day after getting a hole in my tire, even in the midst of everyone getting their snow tires on. Would go there again even though it was on the opposite side of the city!

Driving along and brakes started grinding. Dropped in off the street, was under a time crunch, Shaun had parts ordered and had me on a hoist within 15 minutes. Repairs fairly priced, staff friendly, efficient service. Don't know what else one could ask for in a shop.

I needed to order winter tires. I tried Canadian Tire, but they cancelled my order with no explanation. I tried OK Tire, but their website was not very user-friendly. I tried Big O: the website was very easy to use and I was able to order the tires I needed and make an appointment to have them installed the next day. I arrived at my drop off time, went to BG Cafe for an excellent lunch and went back at the designated time to see my my car was still on the lift. They told me the tires they ordered for me haven't arrived as expected. I even overheard them calling the shipper to find out where my tires were. When we finally got an answer, they said the order was mistakenly placed in Ontario. Everyone at Big O were extremely apologetic (though it wasn't their fault) and offered me a set of superior tires at the same price and even took half off the service so I was $200 ahead. I will definitely go to them when I need tires in the spring, though I will call ahead to ensure the tires we ordered arrived before I drop the car off.

Shaun was very informative, friendly, and honest. He helped me decide on a set of replacement tires after my previous ones got damaged from a pothole. Overall great service! Thanks Big O

Brought my car in service was slow didn’t get my car back for a week and the prices to fix things were jacked up through the roof. When I ended up getting my car back both my front wheels were damaged and my front bumper as well. Highly recommend you save your money and time and stay away from this place

PLEASE Do Not Go To Big O Tires on No 6 Road in Richmond. Read the Online Reviews 1st Before you Go there to get your Car Safety Inspection Sticker for out of Province vehicles.they used to be on Number 3 Road but had to leave. I had a Horrible experience.

I have had my vehicle here for a different number of reasons.certification for out of province license change.tires and to trace and fix some issues.great service.great prices.great staff.what more could you possibly need!

Went for a safety inspection, had an appointment for 1 pm, got there and they said it would be 3 hours! Then they didn't give me the chance to fix a simple thing (license plate light) that it failed on (took me all of 5 mins to fix), and told me I needed a full reinspection instead of just reinspecting the failed item. Which is not true according to CVSE. When I told them that, they said they were too busy to fill out the paperwork and I would have to come back a week later. I went to Canadian Tire instead where they fitted me right in, when they found an issue (worn rear wiper blade) they told me about it rather than just failing me. Also tried to charge me $30 more than they advertise until I showed them their flyer. Avoid this place, they have no idea what good customer service is. Judging by other reviews, not an uncommon experience.

I had a flat, I ran over and asked for help. Shaun and somebody else, didn't get his name put my spare on. Next day they ordered me a new tire and had it fixed! Very nice people

The job was completed properly and professionally for a reasonable price. I would use Big O again anytime. Very happy.

Charged me $39.99 for lifting my car up to check the tires. Then they said they cannot fix it but i still need to pay the inspection fees. What a joke! Avoid them!

Horrible service center, don't take your vehicle here. Bad customer service, could barely hear what the guy was saying because of all the yelling in the background. Did not get a good feeling of being taken care of and was not comfortable leaving my car there in the first place. Would not recommend.

$400 PLUS DOLLARS FOR A TIRE REPAIR, THAT WAS NOT DONE, UNREPAIRABLE, I TOLD HIM I WOULD CALL THE. POLICE IF HE. DOES NOT RETURN MY KEY. Been going here 15 years or so nothing but the best service and work. Costs always fully explained and work always done professionally as well as payment options if needed. Also recommend up coming needs for vehicle. Trust them completely.

Be aware of this scammers. Charge you double the price than other place. Do not fix your car if you want to save your money.

Edit: : when i leave my car, told you guys its a starter problem. You guys spent your time to finally figure out it has starter problem, and ask triple the price than market price.i save money by not fixing at your shop. Please, think yourself when you charge customer, if you want them to come back.

The job that was done by big o tires was good and punctual but I was informed when I dropped my car off that the total cost would be double what I was originally quoted. There may well have been a miscommunication on both sides but I hadn’t really budgeted for the higher amount. Also I didn’t get my receipt after I paid the balance. I think it should be automatic for it to be given to the customer. I would use this company again but would double check the total cost of what I am expected to pay.

I am so thankful for the service Shawn and the crew provided over the past couple of weeks, always keeping me informed of where things were at in the approval process for my ICBC claim, and the work being done. My catalytic converter had been stolen from under my vehicle while parked in Richmond, and these guys helped make the whole process that much less stressful. Thanks so much guys!

I was very happy with my experience. I would definitely call them back for new tires or work on my car.

Bad service, over priced, terrible staff. The staff recited they follow covid protocols but refused to wear a mask in the small office area where you have to go to pay bills etc. Asked why they are not wearing masked when customers are in the office and the reply was "I don't like to wear mask" and refused to put one on. I took my business elsewhere.

They will try to justify or deny this but it is obvious they have NO care or concern about public safety.

I was so pleased I got a flat tire that cannot be patched and Big O tires took me in right away got me two new tires and fixed it right away I was so thankful

Rob, the guy who took my phone call found it rude of me for booking an appointment on New Year's Eve through their website which their website successfully booked me in for. He explained to me that it was a busy day of the year which I obviously understood and was willing to cancel the appointment in a respectful and calm tone. He asked me if I was joking about even contacting them in the first place. Basically, he was mad that i was able to book an appointment online even though their working hours do not match my appointment time which is not my fault (obviously). Again, I totally understood that it was the websites fault and not his but the fact that he put the blame on me is just pathetic.l remained calm and respectful throughout the entire conversation because it's technically not his fault but it threw me off when he remained rude and condescending till the very end even when there was no problem anyway. Again, I was not even angry or being a rude customer and I was fine with just cancelling the appointment willingly.

Not sure if he was having a bad day or that is how he always acts. But judging from the other 1 star reviews it probably happens all too often. Rob (the owner) seems to be shady with adding on hidden fees (judging from the other reviews from customers) and not repairing customer's cars properly. There's a reason for all these 1 star reviews. I guess it was a blessing in disguise that he showed his colors before I made a huge mistake of bringing my car in that shop.
If you are contemplating on using their service, you should give it a long thought unless you enjoy getting mistreated and being taken advantage of.
There are a lot of other tire repair shops to choose from.
DONT go there.

Horrible Service. I came for a quote a couple days ago, and the staff was very rude. Looking through the other comments, it seems it is a regular occurrence that they mistreat customers and overcharge.

The staff at reception was so rude! He basically turned me away not even offering a solution nor allowing me to make an appointment, instead, asked me to go Canadian tire or Costco because their $50k equipment is too good to repair my flat tire!

***CUSTOMERS BEWARE***Overheard Rob tell a service technician to overcharge a customer. Very dishonest!
I bet their response will be that they don't have a record of me ever having my car repaired there. PATHETIC!

If I could give no stars I would. They balanced my tires. It so I thought. Less than a week later my car was shaking so badly I had to have it rebalanced again. They have refused to give me a refund. I even have paperwork proving they did not do the job correctly. If you want to get robbed go to big o tires!

The guys at Big “O” Tire were friendly and efficient. I highly recommend them for any tire needs you might have.

Zero Stars! Too many things to complain about. Unauthorized part installation which is illegal. Didn't change a failing belt that they told me they thaught was ok. It was upside down and sideways on the pulleys after I drove it two times. Yet the other belt was changed? Improper fuel filter installation. And above all the original issue that I took it in for is still on going. My vehicle was there for over one month and when I was told it was done, and to come get it, they couldn't even start it. I took it upon myself to get it running. Who is the mechanic here? Be warned I've been told already by 2 others that this is by far the worst place to go to. Will be going to get another mechanic to check their work.

Great service. I went to other tire ahop befor Big O tires and they didnt even serve me. Big O tire took care of my concerns immediately. Verry happy to reccomend.

Great service great work and very nice to deal with. Only took a few hours and thats with having to go pick up new tires from other location and while i waited they were very nice we had good conversation. I told them i couldnt pay everything up front and they offered me to pay the rest in payments. These guys were all around great to deal with and i sure know where ill go when i need new tires again.thanks big O for your great service and customer service.

I can't talk about the work that the garage does, never got that far, but the quote that I got was $800 MORE than what I paid at a competitor. After a brake inspection & very high quote I decided to get a 2nd opinion. Good decision because as I suspected Big O was trying to gouge me. I would avoid this place.

Unacceptable price, I went in for a patch and came out with a $34.00 bill and no fixed tire. The technician could of told me that the location of the nail wasn't fixable before he took it off the rim. I didn't even have my car on the hoist, or have them take it off my car.

Very bad experience for me at Big O tire dealing with rude and ignorant customer service.
I booked my brand new car for a commercial vehicle inspection.
The staff member at reception never informed me that to pass inspection beside mechanicaly sound vehicle I also need FIRE EXTINGUISHER, FIRST AID KIT AND SAFETY TRIANGLE KIT.
To communicate the above requirements it would take no more than 30 seconds of their time but the gentleman on reception never did said a word to me.
So I dropped the car and waited 3 hours.
When I went to pick up the car with a smile on his face he informed me that my brand new vehicle has failed the inspection because I dont have the above mentioned 3 requirements even though I had 3 days to get them while I was waiting for my appointment.
He also stated that ITS NOT HIS RESPONSIBILITY TO INFORM HIS CUSTOMERS ABOUT WHAT THEY NEED FOR THEIR INSPECTION.
So he charged me 84$ and said that I need to do another inspection and pay another 84$
which was very disappointing for me and I felt robbed.
I will never set foot in their business and I will tell all my family, friends and neighbors to avoid BigOTire at any cost.
To you as a possible future customer of this business think ahead and ask for the information before you give them your keys otherwise they will take advantage of you and they will not even blink.

3.5 - 4 stars. The staff I dealt with were courteous and helpful. I was able to drop off my tire and pick it up within an hr. They were nice enough to take the spare off and put on the repaired tire. Attention to detail was good, they picked up that I had left the hub ring on and put my spare (not full size) over the hub ring. I was a little dissapointed that I waited longer than I should, they said I would get a call when my tire was ready but they didn't, so waited a little longer than they said it would take only to see my truck in the parking lot ready to go. I did see some minor damage from the pneumatic wrench on the wheels where the lug nuts go, not happy about that, but it's minor.

Shawn found replacement tires that were 25% less expensive than the dealer quoted and have a much better tread wear rating. Can’t get better service than that.

Racist place. Told that they don’t serve my kind of people. RACIST PLACE. DO NOT GO HERE.totally unacceptable!

I have delt with this Richmond location over the last 2 years and they have always been so helpful and fast efficient in keeping my two cars in great running condition.great employees and management! They get a 10 out of 10 from me!

They're rude and expensive. Do not come here.
I don't know much about cars so I asked why my lights are flashing. They said I'll have to leave my car 3 days. It was whatever but when I came back they said they can't find the problem and it costed 300$ just for them to inspect it.
Don't bother coming here. Ever. Do not make the mistake I made of going there.

First time to change oil in this garage and very nice mechanics and good service, thanks and I will back in next 5000 km.

Don’t let the decent review fool you. They’re a sorry excuse for a business. When we changed our tires, they LOST OUR WHEELS. Then they had the audacity to say we need to pay for it.
Never ever, on your life, come here. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else.

Very very bad service there is mechanic are made delibrately fault on car, Shawn manager i asked for scan the car my car wrkng fine but delibrately they made fault onbcar many complaunts but no actions of Mechanics there.

So the big O tires on Bridgeport totally dismissed my bent rim and didn’t educate me on anything to do with my car. It’s probably why they are shut down now. So when I brought my car to these guys they really put some work in and showed me what’s up and told me what I need to do. Educated me, told me the problem. Even though I dropped 5 bills, it’s worth the safety and I now have knowledge on how to maintain the car and to avoid spending so much. Overall great experience, efficient work.
