I passed my test at 1st attempt. Whole team was very supportive and professional. Big thanks goes to Jot. He was very cooperative and friendly. He helped me with all pre-trip inspections and gave pretty good instructions for driving. He got great knowledge about how test is conducted and what to expect during the test.

Big Rig school is where I spent my two and half months class 1 melt program. Those were amazing days in the yard, driving and theory. I learned amazing driving skills from instructors. They helped me in each aspect of driving. The result was that I passed my class 1 in first attempt with very low demerits. I would recommend this driving school to everyone. I am sharing a memory with jazz paji when we went on a Squamish run. Amazing days.

I recently took a refresher course through Big Rig Driving school paid for by Work BC and I just like to take the time to thank Lorie for being such a professional, patient and supportive attitude! Not sure what kind of driving instructors will let their students force their way on tight situations.

Earlier today one of their trucks would've hit my vehicle if i didn't move forward. The driver did not even slow down as if he was 100% sure that he would make it. I honked my horn and waved my hand when I passed them (they were changing to a left turn lane and i was going straight) and both the instructor and student just had a massive smirk on their faces. They expect to be considered as professionals on the roads with this kind of attitude?

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I agree that the driver was completing his left turn slowly and it was a good thing that he was changing lane slowly as that gave me enough time to move my truck as close as I could to the vehicle in front of me. Before me moving forward the tractor truck was only about 2"-3" away from my side mirror when your truck was right beside mine so just imagine how close your trailer was to my vehicle specially with it driving straight at that point on the left turn lane since there is no more room for your vehicle to move over towards the barrier on your left.

I am in no way an expert on driving and driving a big rig but I have my experience with pulling trailers so I know that if I did not move forward as much as I could there would be contact between our vehicles and who knows how much the damage that would have been. I am pretty sure that if I did not react to how your driver was driving neither of you would have been smirking the way you both were.

Yes I agree how I acted after passing you was impolite but I believe that it was warranted given the situation, a student driver being too aggressive and a instructor that did not correct his student while this was happening. Should I have just waved and smiled given how easily this whole situation would have been avoided if your driver was more patient? If I did not honk and waved my hand you and the driver would probably only treat it as another day on the road and continue on until the same situation happens and a less attentive driver unfortunately gets hit. I did it not out of rage but to let you know how bad the situation was, given how the both of you reacted you had no clue how much of a close call it was.

If this is how he drives while he is a student I can only imagine how much more aggressive he would be when he is fully licensed specially if his habits are not corrected early in his career. This city already has more than it's share of bad, impatient, and careless drivers. The last thing I want is to share the road with one of those drivers in a much more bigger vehicle that would not even feel it if it side swipes a commuter vehicle beside it while having a big smile on their face as if they did not do anything wrong.

This is one of the best driving schools in BC. Took my Class 1 Melt here and passed my driving and pre-trip exam the first time around. Harry and Lorrie were both my instructors and were very professional and experienced.
