My experience was awful. I got injured inside one of the slide tubes. Nobody was responsible for or even cared about the faulty slides.
21 August 2023 20:34
I would have rated this place 0 if there was a Choice. Extremely busy with too big line ups. You have to pay extra for any extra chair or seating area inside the park. So after paying over $ 200 to experience only 2-3 rides, I was asked to pay for the chair I was sitting and I am not talking about cabana chairs here. Don’t waste your money for this place. You can find something better. Too expensive for the less than average experience.
18 August 2023 17:30
Great rides, but honestly they allow to many people in making for very long waits for tubes.
16 August 2023 11:48
30-40 min wait per slide on Aug 17,23. This is greed. Won't be back. Staff is always nice.
09 August 2023 15:33
Fantastic place to bring your family!
The line ups for the slides arnt long at all! The boomerang is so much fun! Great food!
02 August 2023 1:50
I don’t usually like to leave bad reviews but I feel like this needs to be shared. I came to visit my grandparents and my children really wanted to hit the water slides. My grandparents are elderly and had no intentions of swimming. They just wanted to sit and watch their grandkids have fun. Regaurdless they still needed to pay. So that’s 80 dollars they would have had to pay to get in and not even use the slides. We ended up just going to the mall instead. Not to mention the lockers there are 16$. That place is a complete rip off and we won’t ever be trying to go back.
31 July 2023 3:30
Super overcrowded on the weekends.
Don’t waste your time or money.
They need a limited capacity like other water slides. They don’t care about that though cause it’s just about money not people getting any value for their money.
31 October 2021 23:39
The Park was fun but they closed early and offered no credit for they early day and had given away our cabana with no explanation.
31 October 2021 3:10
A little expensive but still fun. A few of the slides were very exciting and worth the wait in lines but others generic. If your visiting the area it's a fun day.
27 October 2021 19:09
Kids and i had tons of fun. It was the mosquitos that killed me. Best water slides were the solar splash and boomerang.
23 October 2021 10:33
The build up of this park was much more than what you inevitably get out of the experience. I do recognize that I went as an adult and it's much more geared to families and kids. Just found everything pretty over priced for the whole experience. They were great about Covid protocols (as much as you can be in a swimming/waterslide park.)
10 October 2021 6:13
Very long line ups for the more popular slides. Too many adults lined up leaving kids disappointed. Not sure why a bar serving alcohol is there for a kids attraction …. Weird. For 35 bucks wasn’t really worth it parking was a nightmare and we got there 45 minutes after the park opened. Five bucks for parking is reasonable IF you can find a spot. The staff was great, super friendly and very helpful. The kids I took only got to slide on one slide as the others were lined up and they got so hot waiting behind a million adults! I would attempt this again on a weekday getting there before the park opened and see if that gets kids on slides faster. I liked the piped in music!

This place is super disgusting and WAY overpriced. It reeks of urine everywhere. Super gross. Terrible place to go with small kids but even if my kids were bigger I wouldn't come back. I'd much rather go to cultus water slides.how can they even charge more for this place when cultus is way bigger and better maintained?

The pool is super shallow, you can't swim in it. Small kids get 3 slides and everyone gets stuck on 1 of the slides so only 2 are actually usable. The hot tub and the pool smell of urine. There are spots of grass that smell of urine like kids are just walking around and peeing on the ground. I paid $80 for me, my child, and my baby. We stayed for 30 mins and left because it was so gross. I would've paid $80 not to go.

Seriously guys, don't waste your time at this cesspool. Take the extra drive to cultus, it's worth it. This place is not. I hope to save at least 1 person from wasting their precious dimes on this trash pit. I wish someone had warned me before purchasing non-refundable tickets.
07 October 2021 11:14
At this time it is a fun water park but. The line ups are long even 15 mins after open on a Wednesday and the staff is overworked and understaffed. Not enough parents doing their job to monitor misbehaving children.
04 October 2021 9:13
Had an amazing time. It's surely fun place for everyone. It's cheaper to just get a group pass so that you don't have to buy individual tickets for everyone. They have nice pizza too
28 September 2021 10:53
We called ahead of time In advance we had a group of 18 got the group deal they said they close at 6pm but they closed at 4pm super unprofessional of them shame on the park very awful experience
26 September 2021 7:50
So crowded yet service all around was friendly!? I love being treated with respect even short staffed they kept and maintained awesome Services!
25 September 2021 0:27
I liked it. If you see a long line-up near the side road, that's the entry line. The line-up at the opening hour can be a bit intimidating, but it moves fast when the check-in starts.

I recommend buying tickets in advance, before joining the line, but if anybody in your group doesn't have tickets yet, follow the line and you will find the ticket booth near the main entrance.

For small groups, a 4-seat table (with umbrella) by the pool costs only $20 and is a good deal. You can book one online or once you enter, at the Guest Services desk.

For big groups, people seem to prefer picnicking at the lawn near the entrance. If it's full, there's a lot more space over the hill, near the volleyball court. There's not a lot of shade though.

Line-ups for the slides take about 40-50min in a busy day, but it's mainly because they pay a lot of attention to safety and only allow the next slider to proceed once the area is clear, to avoid accidents.

Make sure to bring an umbrella. There's beverage and food for sale inside (fries, fish & chips, pizza) but you're free to bring your cooler. The line up at the grill can take 30-40mins as well, so it might be best to order at once. Washrooms constantly maintained and cleaned.
24 September 2021 18:49
Awesome place. We went for over 6+ hours. And it was a blast. Lots of waterslides, lines arent the worst. The Boomerang Slide is the scariest there is in my opinion. It almost feels like you fly at the drop, I got air on the thing sometimes. And it doesn't feel safe, but it's really fun!
16 September 2021 14:31
Fun day for the kids. The cabana rental was worth the money. The shuttle from the ferry to waterpark was nice to have, Thanks Big Splash! We will be back.
02 September 2021 1:43
Too much waiting times even on weekdays. Very poorly managed and too slow. We hardly did 3 slides in 5 hours! Total waste of Money!
Good for kids but useless and boring for adults.
15 August 2021 11:49
Would be a lot better if it wasn’t for the ginger Karen telling everyone what they can and cannot do! I told her off 3 times before I had to move sections to stay away from her
24 October 2020 7:44
Temperature checks and contact tracing. Needs better restrooms. Convenient to be allowed to enter with food and drinks you brought along.
23 October 2020 10:08
Our family had a wonderful time. Great customer service, staff did an excellent job reminding people to distance and were regularly sanitizing all high traffic areas. We look forward to returning next season, thanks Big Splash
19 October 2020 8:49
Delicious food and nice to have a place to enjoy a beverage.
They stopped the last call at 5: 30, despite having plenty of time to allow the kids to go down a couple of their favorite slides. My 8 year old was heartbroken when she got cut off the short lineup for her last ride.
The place is a nice stop for the price, but definitely outdated.
07 December 2018 23:24
Disappointing. Often saw the park from the highway and wondered about what it offers. With my nephew visiting it was a perfect opportunity to pay a visit
The cost of entrance was high. There was a charge for practically everything which would make a family day here very expensive. When you enter, your bag or backpack is searched for pop and food, neither of which you are allowed to have with you. Plain water is allowed but that's all.
There are not a lot of slides here but enough to get the kids excited and occupied for a few hours. On a busy day it is hard to find space to sit. Shade from a couple of trees is minimal, so get there before the crowds do, and yes, the crowds are big at times.
26 October 2018 19:50
Could have been a 5/5, instead a 3 - almost a 2.here is why. I'll start with my complaints:

**CONS**

Food Service
We had packed an awesome lunch. Got to the gate to find that they do not permit outside food and drink! Ridiculous! You come for an entire day and they expect you to only eat the deep fried unhealthy food. Both Cultus Lake and Bridal Falls water slides allow outside food. When you are already paying $120+ for a family and parking, you should be permitted to bring in your own meals. This is enough of a problem for us that we may never come back.

We try to eat healthy. I don't want Butter Chicken Poutine and Pizza for lunch. The funny thing here is that I may have bought Fries to go with my healthy packed lunch but the fact that we had to leave our lunches in the car irritated me too much to even do that. They actually lost a food sale as the result of the no outside food rules. Almost rated 2/5 stars based on this alone.

Water
The water, specifically in the kiddie areas, was full of sand and needed a serious cleaning. I would expect them to clean the pool bottoms daily. Looked some some algae possibly on the bottom near some of the kiddie slides.

Slide Condition
Most of the slides seemed fine, but the orange one in particular was rather scratchy where the paint is peeling. I noticed a few rough spots on the Kamikaze slide as well that felt uncomfortable sliding over.

**PROS**
This place is not all bad though.

Crowd
We went on the Sunday of the Labour Day Long Weekend (2018) and it was fairly quiet. Lines were very short, lots of room. I am not sure how busy it usually is so this may not be the normal, but was great for us on this day.

Kid Friendly
The kids area is quite good, and even the bigger slides are not too bad for kids. Our 6 year old went on most slides. As I get older I find I don't want crazy fast, jarring, aggressive slides. These ones are good by my standard, but if you are looking for some extreme Adrenaline, you may not find it here. Cultus lake may be better. For us the slide speed etc was perfect

Pool Area
It was great that they had a small swimming area. It seems that few waterslides offer a place to play in the water where you are not in the way of the sliders. This was a very nice plus especially for our kids.

Staff
Our limited staff encounters were good. Staff was friendly and no complaints there. The aggressive bag check at the gate was surprising though - are they looking for bombs? At least they didn't make me take my shoes off!

**Nuetral Notes**
These items did not impact my score of 3/5. Just a few notes

Music
A little loud for our taste. The music was pumping pretty good. I don't mind some background music but it was a little much. I could see a lot of people, especially teens, loving this though

Water Temperature
Temperature of the water was good. Some places have quite cold water. This was cool, but not cold.

Pay Parking
It is no surprise to have to pay for parking these days, but when you are paying nearly $30 a person to get in the gates, the extra $5 for parking is a real kick in the face. If they are worried about people parking and going elsewhere, then you can still require the license plate registration but don't charge people.
16 October 2018 22:32
Wife and I had to pay 56$ to watch 3 kids play. And we had to pay 5$ for parking. We also bought lunch that took 45 mins to make. And cost us 24$. And that's not including what we spent on the kids there. Will never be going back. Went to the Aldregrove waterpark. 5 people 22$. Wow. Bring your own food. Free parking.
14 October 2018 21:17
TRUST ME IF YOU SAY IT'S BORING IT'S FUN BECAUSE I GO THERE ALL THE ME LIKE VIEW AND REVIEW! BESIDES I'M WRITING THIS COMMENT AT BIG SPLASH WATER SLIDE!
07 October 2018 18:55
It's Overpriced and ridiculous rules! No outside food means you have to wait 45 minutes for a hot dog! We didn't pay $30 PER PERSON to WAIT almost an hour to eat? ! I'm sure they would've made money even with allowing food in! The rides are the same except the Boomerango. Aldergrove Community Credit Union Centre is $6 and has better pool, slides and allows FOOD!
06 October 2018 16:29
The prices are honestly quite unfair, I would be okay with paying this price if the park was up to par with it but sadly its not. The bathrooms were DISGUSTING, paper towels and pee everywhere. The number of showers could not accomadate the amount of people (2 showers for 500+ people? How on earth did they think that would work out?) Pay parking is unfair and charging kids that cant go on rides the same as everyone else is totally unfair. 30 dollars to swim? Rip off.
05 October 2018 17:29
Slides are ok. You should be able to bring your own food inside. After paying nearly $150 for a family of 5, the last thing I want to do is pay another $60 for mediocre cafeteria food. The cabana rentals are decent, unless you get stuck in the lower field away from most of the park. Staff was friendly and the park seemed in decent shape. Now that I have been here. I would probably drive an extra hour+ to their competitor which allows you to bring outside food and honestly is a much better facility.
27 September 2018 8:46
This water park changed management since we visited it last a couple of years ago. On the bright side, they invested in some renovations (new slide added, fixed up a couple of old slides, added an adults only hot tub and an alcohol bar) and staff are quite friendly and helpful. On the dark side, this is now a real money grab: they no longer have discount pricing for smaller kids (free under 3, then $28 for 4 and up). My 4 year old couldn't go on half the slides due to height restrictions (reasonable), yet we paid for her as much as for an adult (unreasonable). They now charge you if you want to sit at a patio table. You're no longer allowed to bring in your own food, only water. This has definitely marred the overall experience.
24 September 2018 22:42
In one Word MESS. Just one window where toy can buy a ticket. But inside 3 person in customer service just stand. Almost never can find a locker. Stuff unfriendly.
23 September 2018 1:03
Fairly nice water slide park. The "lazy river" tube experience was a 45min line up for a 2 min ride. Not their fault, but just wasn't worth the wait. Go early! Right when they first open to avoid lines and to get a space on the grass in the shade. We left our belongings and towels/blankets unattended and no issues. The "lounge" was slow and service was soooo slow, that was disappointing.
22 September 2018 17:53
There wasn't really much the little ones. The space they did have was taken over by bigger kids or adults lounging. We didn't appreciate having to pay the full amount for the littles for this reason. We were definitely disappointed and won't be going back.
19 September 2018 4:56
First visit to this waterpark - visiting from Victoria. Went with friends and our kids. Walked on the ferry and took the 920 Bus from the ferry and told the driver we were going to the waterslides and he dropped us off right outfront instead of further back at the bus stop - much appreciated! Little confusing for foot traffic to find our way in as the waterpark is surrounded by a culvert. Finally found a little footbridge through the shrubs to cross over. We rented a cabana (#11 - great spot) and went to enjoy the park.

We found the slides to be fun and our kids (all age 10) really had a great time on all the slides. I think our favorites were the new Boomerang, Eddie's Eagle Run and funny enough, the green Junior Slide.
Found the facilities to be decent and better than I was expecting. They did deteriorate as the park got busier and the day went on. Lots of mud and grass everywhere which then gets tracked into the pools and slides. They need to resurface with either a fake turf or raised, rubber 'bar mat" type product.

Food was ok and found some of the same menu items to be a little cheaper in the sports bar/restaurant (kids ok on the patio)! Service was and food was decent - they give you lots of fries!

We left around 5: 30pm and by that time the change rooms/bathrooms were quite dirty, smelly and lots of standing water on the floors. They could use a full renovation or at minimum more attention by cleaning staff. We walked back to the bus stop about 1/2km back towards the ferry and would have been nice to have a shuttle bus going back and forth from the park to the ferry, but seems like they are not even thinking about Island customers, which in reality is probably a small percentage of their business. Perhaps have the Tsawwassen Mills shopping shuttle bus add the waterpark to their stops? Again, no easy/direct access to get back up to the highway so back up the road, across the little foot bridge and bushes.

We did had a good time though and enjoyed our visit.
12 September 2018 4:52
I took the kids here as they were excited to check out the *new* waterslides. First I have to say, it's a pretty big disappointment that they say no outside foods, trying to feed kids all day could get very expensive. The slides themselves are okay but definitely not on par with Cultus. That being said, I did really enjoy the Boomerango. It was definitely a great addition.

Read to the end.complements to the lifeguard staff, I couldn’t help but notice.
(From my 20 yrs experience as a City of Surrey Head lifeguard).
I took my grandkids for a day of fun, and some relax time for myself. They played for hours and still wanted more time. “ Can we stay until they close? ” Of course, was my answer. They live in Cranbrook and I’m taking them home in the morning.
1 hour to closing.
I looked around to see where they went.
My 13yr old was being held by lifeguards in a spinal clamp, in moving water, after hitting his head, a couple of times 1/2 way down one of the tube rides.

My staff shout out for the spectacular lifeguards who kept everyone’s safety #1.
Awesome teamwork and great spinal removal from the water slide. Professional assessment,
Great news! No spinal injury and got to walk away.
Well, they got to stay past closing and had the hot tub to themselves to warm up in for a few minutes.
I’m so impressed with the lifeguard staff,
and Brian,
the Head lifeguard.
Great to meet other professionals who take their work seriously and love it. Just like I still do!

Went over for the day with family. Had a blast! Waterslides were awesome. Crazy expensive trip though including ferry and city bus. Approximately $30 per person admission.
27 August 2018 18:12
REALLY DISAPPOINTED! This park is overpriced and a cash grab. They ding you for parking, and table fees and then ban ALL outside food and drink so you buy from the overpriced restaurant”s”- (one kitchen serving the entire park). Wait times for food were >30 minutes. Intermittent music due to technical issues. Not worth it! Cultus Lk Waterpk.is worth the drive & wait; more rides and bring-your-own-food.
17 August 2018 11:36
I only give it one star because the new slides. The water in the pool was so gross. Band aids floating around, the water was so murky that I couldn't see my feet. The bathroom was disgusting.floors were full of mud. Also now they make you pay for parking. Never going back!
12 August 2018 20:18
The price for food is outrageous! They definitely need more then just 2 people working in the candy/ ice cream shop cause waiting 45 min just for ice cream is ridiculous. The staff were really friendly tho.
