We were referred to use this company by a family member and we're very happy we went with them! By far the best service we have had in Maple Ridge from the Heating Company. The service technician's name was Nick, he was very professional and friendly. We had no issues whatsoever, he did great work and was happy to explain everything he was doing. We were able to get our boiler service, and a new hot water tank put in at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this company to anyone else. Their technicians know what they're doing! I know that sounds straightforward, but it really isn't. We have had a lot of companies where the technicians were all over the place and in the end had to come back and forth to fix things. I called early afternoon for my furnace blowing cold air. Lana was very friendly and able to send a tech over within 30 mins! Paul was so knowledgeable and explained everything to me in such detail that he may just have put himself out of a job. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Big Valley again and HIGHLY recommend them! Nick Zinn did an amazing job on a Navien Tankless water heater removal and new installation. Cathy and I found Nick to be extremely polite, knowledgeable, professional and kind. Used Big valley for 10+ years for service but switched to another company as they installed my AC and it needed to be serviced by them for the warranty.

Should have just stick with Big Valley as they are way more professional and quote much more reasonable.

As an example I needed my ID fan replaced - Big Valley was $100 cheaper for the part and the labor was half the cost.

Always get top quality, prompt and fairly priced work from them and they are locally owned and operated.

Greg is one of those pros who talks you through the right way to do things and makes you feel like you're in good hands immediately.

My water heater was not working. They took care of it within a day, then took care of my insurance and billed me after the insurance went through. Really happy with their service.

The pilot light on my gas fireplace kept going out. After another contractor gave me a verbal quote of $1000 for parts, I called in Big Valley. It took a couple of visits to finally find the problem. At some stage, the bracket for the logs was out of adjustment. Once the pilot light and gas valve were replaced, the total came to less than $850.00 for parts and service and tax. Yes, I am very happy with Big Valley and all their staff!

Hands down the best gas fitting service in Maple Ridge! Ron and the team have always found a way to accommodate my needs. As a commercial client I would never hesitate to recommend their services. There’s something to be said for old fashioned great service and experience!

Jamie saved us a lot of money with his honesty! The first outfit we called gave us a huge quote and said we needed several new parts adding up to hundreds of dollars, which just felt wrong to us. We recently purchased a 2 story home with a crawl space in Mission. The furnace was 30 years old and the hot water tank was 12 years old. The 30 year old forced air furnace only serviced the main floor. The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms were heated with electric baseboard heating. To make matters worse the forced air system's return air was supplied by 3 grills in the walls on the main floor open to the crawl space. There was no ducting.
We had air conditioning in our previous home and wanted to add that as well.
I contacted Ron at Big Valley Heating & Sheet Metal and he came by and came up with a solution and quoted us a very reasonable price to do the job. Big Valley supplied us with a high efficiency forced air furnace and air conditioner as well as a high efficiency tankless hot water heater. By using high efficiency units, the space that the original B vents for the old tank and furnace used to get to the roof was now available. Big Valley ran new ductwork through that space to the attic with insulated runs and diffusers to each room as well as return air ductwork for the upstairs floor. They also ran new return air ductwork in the crawl space to the three existing grills.
It is not an exaggeration to say that it was a big job.
It has been a couple of months since they completed the work. The systems they installed have work perfectly. The house remained cool when it was hot and it is nice and warm now that the cold weather has arrived. The tankless hot water heater supplies all the hot water we can use.
We also had them supply and install 2 new bathroom exhaust fans upstairs. The original exhaust fans had never been vented to the outdoors but instead vented into the attic space. Big Valley installed proper roof vents and the required connecting insulated ducts.
The Big Valley team, Wes, Dan, Kaelan, Luke, and Riley went above and beyond expectations. To the man they were courteous, respectful of our home and very professional. They used drop cloths and cleaned up their mess at the end of each day and took away all of the old equipment and related scrap.
My wife and I wholeheartedly recommend Big Valley to anyone that is looking for a great company with excellent service for your heating and air conditioning needs.
