The sales staff were great to deal with getting our quote in a timely manner and responding to delivery and picking up of container concerns. We used a 20' container to store our items from garage so that we could get our garage floor fixed. Truck driver did a great job delivering our container working with 58' from garage door to cerb on other side. Leaving 6' from garage door to container so the workers for garage floor repair had enough space to work with. Driver picking up container did a great job as well. I would highly recommend BigSteelBox.

I moved a 30-year accumulation of furniture and effects from Vancouver to the Gulf Islands in three containers, over a period of over a year. I can't imagine doing it any other way. We sold one house and built another, with an uncertain completion date, so avoiding a "moving day" was a huge benefit.

I had the pleasure to have Jagger Gravel look after my move. I called and emailed him a million times and he was always so pleasant. It was loaded by a super great friend of mine from a locker into a Big Steel Box. From there it was brought to a safe storage location in the current province for a few days until I could get a city permit to park on my street. It was there when they told me, picked it up as promised. There were many things out of my control, but it went like clockwork.

Fantastic customer service! Every agent we spoke with was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this company.

Be aware that they will charge PST and GST on the entire bill including the rental of the box. We did not know that PST was charged on the amount because they did not put the taxes on the quote or send me an invoice before they charged my credit card. Other than that their service was very good and the delivery went smoothly.

We rented storage containers during a major renovation and the whole process was fantastic. The pick up and delivery was super smooth and the customer service was fantastic. It's a really great option instead of conventional storage facilities and saves a lot of time.

We moved from BC to Manitoba, and our experience was excellent on both ends of the move. Both locations to drop the boxes were tricky, and the drivers aced it both in Maple Ridge and in Winnipeg.

Communication with the offices was prompt and responsive, and they could not have been more helpful! Drivers in both provinces were expert and delivered and picked up not just on time, but notified us when they were close as well.

Very happy with our experience with Big Steel Box, which we used for moving from BC to Ont. Container arrived ahead of anticipated schedule, and all staff were professional and responded to our queries promptly. Had to buy our own moving blankets and ratchet straps, which added an extra $200 to the cost (would be nice if they rented these out). Overall a very good experience.

Customer Services was really great, box was on time for drop off and pick up. The 20' box itself is very small, smaller than a moving truck. It does not fit a 2 to 3 bedroom home and more a 1 bedroom home or condo. We needed 2 of the boxes so this was the only thing we were disappointed with as I did explain all the items we had and the rep assured it would fit everything and it barely fit half of our stuff. Luckily we had a families garage to put the rest of our items in.

Very friendly service, very accurate estimate, no hidden fees. Made the best moving experience between provinces in Canada. Punctual, friendly truck drivers. Always available to answer any questions and requests. Made the most of your time, delivering earlier as possible in the day. Moved my hole house on time.
You'd need to do the physical work thou, if you are not into moving all the heavy objects you should spent more money and hire movers.
Items all arrived just as they left my place, nothing was broken or damaged in anyway.
I would do this again I would use them again, and yes, I would totally recommend them to friends and family.

We had a container for 9 months that really was beneficial cuz we could get into and out of when we needed something. They are on time with everything they do. I highly recommend them.

I moved to another province and used Big Steel Box. The drivers were professional, polite, and friendly. I recommend that if you want them to pick up or drop off in a window of time -that you check that the paperwork has this specified on it prior to signing. The drivers refer to the signed paperwork and that can cause discrepancies if times or even am or pm is not listed. Overall I really found it a great way to move. Pick up and delivery at both residences were on time, drivers were courteous and very professional. Moved from the mainland to Vancouver Island. We had the box 1 month before we moved so we could fill it at our pace (recently retired) and when it was delivered kept it for 3 weeks to unload at our pace. It was so much easier to pack and unpack as needed and place items where we wanted. This was the easiest move we have ever done.

Great service. Professional and honest. I shipped my 20' container from west coast to east and it arrived in 10 days (during covid 19 outbreak). Average delivery for other companies is around 20 days. The container was super clean, and the driver was professional. The service overall was amazing and will recommend.

It was a great surprise to see how easy it was. We moved across country with movers 10 years ago and it was expensive and more of a hassle. This way we were able to pack when we wanted, load when we wanted, etc We chipped away at it because we didn't want to move junk. It was stored for me on the other end an extra month because my tenants wouldn't move out and it cost me only just over $100. I needed an additional month because they trashed the place and I wanted to renovate. It was handy having all my stuff in the box while I renovated.
They delivered it when I wanted and picked it up when I wanted. I truly believe this is the only way to move.

Everything went well except the container was ‘dropped’ from too high consequently squashing a number of boxes and items inside from the impact. My son
Discovered the damage while unpacking and got to the back of
container. He took pictures to show but has not heard back from company. Perhaps whoever reads this will contact him.

We considered many options to get our stuff from Ont.to B. C.and chose BSB. Not cheap, but they dropped the container off when and where I needed it. The container interior was clean with wood plank flooring. Packed the container myself, how I wanted it. They picked it up when I wanted. Within 3 weeks, they dropped it off at the base of our condo on the other side of the country. Opened the container, and all was good! If you're not enthusiastic about using movers, and put a bit of thought into packing your crate, this is the way to go. Thanks BSB!

All in all it was a good way to move for us. We ended up having to have the box picked up after the horrible snow storm so we shoveled like maniacs to clear the driveway and road. We found out that the box hadn't been picked up and the guy was saying he couldn't do it because there was too much snow in the driveway.he clearly didn't even drive by. The fellow at the office sent another driver and that driver was a star! The place we were moving to was a snowy mess and he still was able to deliver it! All our belongings were safe and sound. They were very careful with it. And we were able to have it for a month while we were packing so that was great!

They were very good about dropping off and picking up the box to fit with our timelines. Moving day was pretty busy and they were there to pick up and move the box at 7: 00 AM. They explained everything. No surprises. We would highly recommend them and will be sure to use them again in the future.

Improvements to Existing Services:
It would have been good to know that my own lock needed a 2" shackle to work - we encountered frustrating difficulties trying to get our lock to fit. Also, the delivery of the Box to the final address was delayed by nearly a week, which engendered some additional challenges, due to the sub-contractor's unavailability.

We had to store our furniture for about 3 years. When I looked for containers it was important to me what material they were made off. BigSteelBox as the name already says, are made of steel. That gave me the peace of mind, that my furniture will be protected properly—and they definitely were. After 3 years, when I received my containers back, everything was in perfect condition. No, damage, no smell, perfect. The drivers are all very careful and knowledgeable and reliable. I would always use BigSteelBox again before any other company. The service is impeccable and very professional.

Brooke was incredible to deal with. There were no extras, delays or damage. I can't believe how easy it was and how polite and helpful everyone was on my move from Poco to Penticton.
