Found out how they got the nickname Bill how-much? Would give them zero stars if I could. Service department will screw you any chance they can.

I took my truck in to get the brakes done. Front brakes required servicing and rear brake pads were close to needing to be replaced. Without even looking at the brakes they wrote up the work order to replace rear pads and rotors. They wanted me to sign off on $1300 worth of work before their mechanic even looked at the brakes. I told them that the rotors more than likely did not need to be replaced as the pads where not completely worn. They tried to convince me to do the rotors before removing the rotors from the workorder and said they would let me know what the condition of the brakes were before they did anything. When they looked at the rear brake pads they still had some life in them but not much and tried once again to convince me that the rotors should be replaced. I told them to only replace the rear pads as well as service the front brakes.

Total came to $850. I felt it seemed high for the work since I remembered paying around $650 for my wife to have her brakes replaced less than a year earlier (with Bill How-much) So I compared the 2 invoices (both vehicles are 2019 1/2 ton trucks). My wife had both front and rear pads replaced for $630, I had my front brakes serviced (which was considerably cheaper than replacing the pads) and my rear brakes replaced. A 35% increase in less than a year for less labor and fewer parts.

I called to ask about the price difference and was told the pads they used on my wife's truck were cheaper and they could no longer get those pads. They also made a comment that they had accidently overcharged me for the labor and they would be reimbursing me for the difference. It's been over a month and still no reimbursement.

I highly DO NOT recommend them. After a few conversations with other locals they deserve their Bill How-Much nickname.

Sold me a suv without disclosing seizing calipers, no lever handles on passenger seat adjustment area. Passenger cover for seat belt and levers was broken. Original alloy wheels were missing and replaced with steel and the tire dummy light never goes off. When I asked about that, they said they'd look at it and never fixed it. They did fix my ignition coil, because it stopped working within my warranty period. But still doesn't work properly.
I trusted them because they hired me to work reception.so I figured I'd get an honest salesman. A month later, I had to go to emergency and missed work, and they fired me.
My whole experience with them is very negative.

Thank you Cody for working with me on the out of town sale of the 2011 Dodge Charger RT. You were friendly, efficient, helpful, and made the whole process very easy. Thanks also to the entire staff for helping out with the finances, licensing, etc. Much appreciated!

Visited the shop 3 times, spent $1,500 on a vent, and it is still not fixed! No follow up whatsoever. Lots of false promises. Not treating customers' loyalty and commitment very well. Stay away from this dealer.

Amazing customer service today. My first time at the dealership and from the minute I walked in the door to the minute I left it was customer first all the way. One of the sales team walked over to us the minute we came in the door and guided us to the service department. Jeff at the service department listened tentatively! To the problem I was having with my jeep. And then, without even being asked, he pulled up my jeep details using the Vin number to check for any open recalls that needed fixing. Amazing in itself as I didn’t know, that could be done and especially without being asked. Nice touch. Jeff offered up multiple suggestions for us to do while we waited for our vehicle (as we drove in from out of town) and within the hour they had diagnosed the problem and they ordered a part. We came an hour early and they didn’t make us sit in the lobby and wait till the end of the day to give us our vehicle back. We felt so comfortable and taken care of today. It felt like we had come to this dealership many times. Thank you to Jeff and to the service department, From my the bottom of my heart THANK YOU

Purchasing my 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 Hemi was not just a big expense but an investment, and it was definitely a negotiable endeavor.

"Profit" is not a dirty word. Im not bitter nor am I upset that Bill Howich made money off my purchase & that the people that work there will benefit from the sale. I am rather happy because it’s quite possible that I got a good deal, and at the same time, Bill Howich can make money, and the people involved can make a living. There can be real balance when purchasing a new vehicle.

Buyer Tips:

•Don't be desperate for a vechile regardless of your situation.
•Know your trade-in's worth
•Make a low offer. You'll be surprised how much of a mark up is on these vechiles.
•Do not disclose your financing (b/w, monthly, or duration). Keep it under 72 months. Get your bank involved as you might get a better rate.
•Don't go to the dealership. Research the vehicle you want online and contact them via email. Tell them no phone calls. This will save you time & money.
•When test driving show no emotion. Even if you love the vechile, just be nonchalant about it like "whatever. I've driven better"
•Trust your gut, walk away if you feel any pressure. They need your business more than you need their's.
•If buying a used vechile (even if Carfax is clean), always get a prepurchase inspection with another mechanic. It'll cost you $130 & could save you thousands.

Erica Fast & Judy Douglas were amicable and cut right to the chase by valuing my time and making this process seamless & hassle free. They took instruction well, showed me my options & extended me the courtesy of precise one to one continuity when communicating.

I've given 4/5 stars and will update after my first service experience.

Cheers BH!
Love the truck!

I would suggest for anyone wanting a new to them vehicle. Go into Bill Howich and talk to Red Jacket Rob. He was very helpful in finding a vehicle that suited me best for what I needed. Xen in the financial department was very helpful as well. She went over all the different options that worked with my budget.

Thank you Red Jacket Rob and Xen.

I recently bought a 3500 dodge off the lot and the dealership was very accommodating everyone was very pleasant to talk to and deal with there. The salesman Red Jacket Rob was awesome getting me into the vehicle I wanted and went above and beyond for me to get it. All in all it was a great experience and would definitely buy from there again. I was just recently at the dealership to see when I could get it in for a service and Jessica at the service department was amazing to deal with and got me in right away that day amd got the fuel filters done for as well. Thank you Jessica in the service department. Thank you Red jacket Rob for pointing me in the right direction amd with your continual help with stuff with my truck.

This is the friendliest, most accommodating and by far the best experience with a dealership, we have ever had. Erica and Xen were absolutely amazing to deal with. They went above and beyond for us. Not only did we get an amazing vehicle from them, but also, happy to say, we now call these 2 amazing people …friends. Thank you to both of you!

Cara was helpful, honest, and took every opportunity to make my experience enjoyable and genuine when buying my new car!
17 November 2022 13:47
Everyone was very friendly, helpful and understood my needs. Erica and Rob were helpful and worked hard to fit me into the right vehicle. Judy, was fantastic. She was helpful friendly and explained the paperwork. Which was simple and easy to understand. As per my request she had all the paperwork ready to go so I was in and out quickly, it was not a long drawn out process of hours being there. Darren the General Sales Manager was also very helpful. I felt I was given a fair trade and a purchase without hidden agendas or fee's. I truly felt that I was being taken care of and my business was important. I felt I was a valued customer, and not just a sale.

I brought my wife into Bill Howich Chrysler and we are the proud new owners of a Nissan Rogue.

All staff members went above and beyond and made it a great experience for us both!

Special thanks to Jimmy Sekerak (Sales Representative), Al Wall (Sales Manager), Judy Douglas (Business Development & Finance Director) you were all a pleasure to deal with!

I have been a customer of Bill Howich Chrysler for almost three decades. This by itself speaks of how I have been treated there. In short words.like family. Staff there have always treated me extremely well and new staff go out of their way to remember my name. Quality work and people, like Norm in parts and service, are why I will continue to deal there. They go above and beyond.period.

Norm in parts and service helped me with some winter tires and rims. Great deal and great service all around. Cheers!

I would honestly give this 0 stars or negative 5 stars. Nothing but issues from the get go. Bought a truck that I was told passed a safety inspection and then my front left bearing went witch is ok but took it into a different shop and those machanics said they have no idea why this truck passed with ALL the issues it was having. Not to mention I bought a 5k warranty witch wasn't honored when it came time for work to be done. Poor sales, very poor machanics, and the worst managementfinance team I probably ever will deal with. Stay away from this company. It should be called bill howmuch because they will screw you out of your hard earned money I had the truck 4 months and put 15k down plus bought the 5k warranty. Truck was worth 27k. I recieved $590 back when I sold it.

It was a pleasure working with Ron. We had been to many dealerships all over the island and some on the mainland and we kept running into problems and it was a breath of fresh air when working with this gentleman. He didn't lie, exaggerate or add costs last minute, which had been our experience time and time again before contacting this establishment. Ron was honest and we were able to work out a deal that was beneficial for all of us and we got a truck that we were more than happy to take home. Would definitely do business in the future. Likely will be the first we contact if getting another vehicle. Thanks again Ron.

Took my truck in for oil change. They charged me for my warranty oil change even though it’s supposed to be covered and no charge. They informed me I needed brakes done for $1200. I was suspicious so I decided to bring truck into my red water ab dealership as I was heading back to Alberta. Turns out I have 50% left on front and back brakes! No need to replace thanks Redwater!

Well, I bought a car the odometer wasn’t working since day one. I did notice while heading back home, next day call them they were like oh we can’t fix it sorry. The paperwork they give when I bought the car it says the odometer is working and I did tell the dealer and they said oh that’s a mistake again sorry. So, to cover their mistake they said we told you the exact kilometres on the car.
All I want them to fix the odometer but they just said they don’t want to spend on the old car.
The car is working fine. Just their ignorance leads to the bad review.

But I also wonder what if there was some major issues then what? Will they be like oh I don’t want to spend money on the old car.

I was vacationing with the family and after making a stop at the grocery store the truck started to act up. Tried to replace the battery and things just got worse. I called the service department and spoke with Adam, I asked if there was any trick to try and help get me back on the road and he said no. It had to come in to be looked at. As twas the end of the day and the family was uneasy, the decision was made to tow the truck in. After several follow up phone calls, including after describing the vehicle, he still called me back the next morning to ask me "what type of vehicle is it" as the fob wasn't working so he couldn't get the flashing lights as an indicator. A day and a half later, and some research on our own, I spent an hour and a half picking up some tools and getting myself to the dealership, to then fix the issue in 20 minutes. I could tell when they picked up my keys for me, from the back office, it wasn't a priority to them. You could of been the savour of what was turning into a terrible experience on vacation, and now you just added to it as we had a $250 tow bill.for nothing. Your "hey buddy" attitude might work for some. But I can tell you, your anything but my buddy.

Update: while I appreciate the fact someone has posted that they would contact me regarding my experience. Nobody has. It's all for show to make it seem like they want to fix the problem but the fact is they haven't followed up. They haven't tried to contact me to correct this traumatic event that was experienced. They just want everyone to think they have. Typical experience

A huge thanks to Tyler and the service team for looking after my little FIAT. My vehicle had a shake on the highway and was a little worried about taking my car to any local shops in Courtenay (FIATs are relatively few and far between on Vancouver Island). Talked with Tyler at Bill Howich Chrysler, and he said not to worry. Dropped off my car in the morning, and it was fixed the same day (for much less than I expected) and it drives like new again. Thanks Tyler and Team!

Bought my first car post bankruptcy from them and, during COVID. They were very helpful and even drove 45 minutes out to me to show me the car. I gave them a 4 star rating because I did have an issue with the suspension just a couple of weeks after my purchase and had to argue my point to get it fixed, but in the end they fixed it, installed my summer tires and even lent me an office while I was there so that I may have a zoom meeting in private while I waited.all this at no cost. Over all, I recommend them. Rob was my salesman and he is very good at his job. Thanks BH!

Erica Fast handled my experience at BH dealership. It was a fun negotiation. She was skillful & professional, thank you Erica Fast. I’d recommend her, she’s great to talk to. She was never far away when I needed some information. Erica was well informed, supportive and clearly passionate about her work. She knows her trucks. The only complaint is that the sale went by too fast:). I’m quite satisfied with her service and I’ll be a repeat customer. Al was nice too, but not as nice as Erica of course.

I had a great experience dealing with Erica in the sales department. She gave me a very fair trade-in price for my Wrangler and I was able to order my mid-life crisis muscle car. No BS straight shooters.

I bought a Dodge Ram 1500 last month from Bill Howich with the help of Red Jacket Rob. He worked very hard to get me a great deal with 'peace of mind', and followed up to make sure I was still happy with my purchase! He was very straight forward and I would definitely work with him again on a future truck purchase.

I had made an appointment and at that time told them I had a tire sensor out and it needed to be fixed.and said at the time I had ext warranty. I repeated the same at the appointment and told them witch one it was.so you think they would have fixed it.no.she said when the truck was ready for me.they didn't replace it because they had to phone for the warranty.ya think! So I will have to set up another appointment for a other day.it costs about $50. In gas to my home and back. It's a 1 1/ 4 hour drive one way. I'm not impressed.
