Bin 4 Burger Lounge

Came here for the first time on a late Saturday night with my girl because they had a half off burger deal with any drink purchase after 9 pm (they also have a standard day happy hour as well). It's truly hard to find a good burger under $15-20 so with the half off deal it I paid about $12 after adding some extra items to it. We had the angry bull and the breakfast club which were both absolutely delicious, along with the bruschetta and a couple of drinks. I normally don't order burgers at restaurants but this one was one of the best especially for the price. Drinks didn't seem as strong or flavorful as others, so the food definitely outshines it. Regardless, what truly made our night was the bar staff, specifically Grace, our bartender, and Maya. They were both incredibly kind, attentive, easygoing, and helped both of us with our questions and picking drink and food orders. I was super impressed and felt incredibly welcomed with the experience Grace and Maya provided for us. If you get the privilege them for your service definitely throw an extra tip their way! They were awesome!

Our experience here was incredible we were served by our lovely bar tender Grace, she has been the most welcoming and most attentive, demonstrating incredible hospitality to its fullest. Our food and drinks were very good and the portions are huge. Definitely recommend this location and will be visiting again soon.

They have an offer of 50% off after 9pm.but that's only for dine in.having said that, they don't have an option to skip the tip! I literally just paid 15% tip to the person at the cash counter for simply passing me the payment machine. It's just very late at night and I have sudden guests, but I'm never coming back here for this. If the owners don't pay their employees proper wages, it's not our job. If we get great service, honestly I myself have paid over 20% in tips. I find it unacceptable to pay sth in equivalence for someone just passing me a machine. Oh and the food? Blechhhh

I normally love Bin 4 burgers but this time was horrible. I got take out of the sweet corn and chipotle burger on a lettuce stack with fries. Fries were good a little cold but the burger was the most upsetting. Firstly it had a few tiny pieces of lettuce as the lettuce stack, there was hardly any of the red pepper and jalapeño salsa, didn’t come with any chipotle aioli either. Corn was at least abundant but once I took a bite I realized the corn was hard and chewy, either overcooked or dried out some how…

Wouldn’t get take out again from here if it’s going to be absolutely disappointing and not worth the amount I paid for.

It does get a little busy around 9PM because of the late night deal so be prepared to wait a little while for a table!

I've been coming here for years so I'm going to take my time with this review in hopes when I give them another chance in a few months, it's gotten better. The last few times have been very disappointing. I appreciate that they open later than most places around, but the food quality has been going downhill.

For example, I recently got this burger, their monthly special at the time. It's painful to think that a fish left the ocean to be treated like this. Completely dry and you can taste the freezer burn. Whoever cooked it has never tasted good, fresh (not frozen then thawed) seafood. So they try to hide the poor flavor with an obscene amount of sauce, to the point the bun was soaking wet like a shower sponge and quickly disintegrating. The sauce would have been nice in a moderate amount, but this made it way too overpowering to the point it was very unpleasant. I appreciate the waiter offering a fresh bun, but there was no saving this thing; she should have offered to take it off the bill as it was not eaten and clearly told the issues with it, which she agreed with. They really need to tone down the sauce, it's an issue with most of their offerings, and it's always overpowering and overused. It should be a hint, not all you can taste.

Their salads are also pretty bad. The greens are always wilted. It's a bit more work but it'd be a lot better to buy lettuce and wash/chop it in store as opposed to these precut greens they buy, because they go bad much faster, and even if most of the bag is fine, there's always a few rotten leaves in between. You get that plus three slices of cucumber, a bit of pepper and some seeds, call it a day.

Used to love their drinks, but their cocktails lately have been so poorly made, it's just soda and a shot, totally overpriced. When you read the description, you picture something way nicer looking, better tasting and more elaborate than what you get.

So disappointing to go to a restaurant, pay for a meal and then have to go home and cook. The price with their late night special, and the fact that they open a bit later than most, saves them from one star, and because I hope they can go back to the quality they had a few years ago.

The service also used to be better. They're now usually clearly understaffed, and it shows on the attention you get. It makes sense: these people are not paid a living wage, they rely on tips. People tip on a % of the bill. So when the restaurant is the busiest (during the late night deal), the servers are also making the least per table. But restaurant owners in North America will sell their mothers before paying people what they're worth, and instead rely on the customer to do so, but overtime this has consequences. We used to come once per week and we miss it, but we have regretted every second chance we've given them in the last year or so.

I just had a Salt Burger with some French Salt sticks on the side. The only thing I could taste was salt. I didn’t finish the meal it was so bad. It has been back to back disappointments for me. I hope eating in house is better than their delivery quality.

Update: I regularly have the Big Dipper which is messy as hell, but worth it. Note, you must like salt. Their house salad dressing is delicious. Tried the special, the Ball Park. The hot dog overwhelmed the beef, but the toppings were amazing.

Just visited the Yates Street restaurant and was highly disappointed. The floor was slippery, the menus were sticky and the food only so-so. I ordered a Bistro burger … chicken, as a lettuce stack. It came as a regular burger in a bun. The chicken was very thin, tough and dry, stringy and no flavour. The fries were ok, but the vinegar had zero flavour. Disappointing all around.

The Plant One on Me is the best vegan burger in Victoria, in my opinion. Nothing is missing.it has delicious vegan cheese, aioli and more. So delicious!

Worst visit I've ever had to Bin 4, and in no good conscience recommend this restaurant. The service was terrible, the restaurant wasn't very busy yet we waited 40 minutes for drinks (including water) and over an hour after that for food. Our server, who I believe was Mia, only came by our table after 20 minutes to take orders and at the end to give us our bills.

The food was extremely over cooked and nobody came by our table at all so I could mention it and have the burger remade. I didn't end up eating it and picked away at some fries while I waited to see if our server (or any server) would come by. When our server eventually came by asking if we wanted our bills, that was the first time I was able to say that I was unhappy with my meal. After all that, I was brought the bill and still fully charged for it.

If only the service was bad or just the food was overcooked I wouldn't have been so upset, but together it made for a pretty poor experience and a complete waste of money.

After a comfortable afternoon (low humidex) of shopping, decided to rest for food and drink at my favourite neighbourhood spot: perfectly fresh & delicious goat cheese bruschetta, Bin #4 burger with a delicious side of almond praline salad, and a perfect red wine sangria (delicious mix of hard liqueur, fresh fruit, red wine). Which is going to bring me back with three of my best friends! Soon!

I order a salad with my meal and got soggy pickles instead, then when I returned the soggy pickles I got in return, a ball of rotten salad that had the texture that made it it seem pre chewed, I'm talking about a ball of wet rotten salad leaves tucked in the middle of my plate

Ok experience, pricing on food, happy hour and specials has increased, the amount of food decreased. Can't blame the pandemic as the lignup is always out the door including all of the delivery guys. On the other hand, the staff is friendly and place is clean.

A sub - $20 meal with a light beer in downtown Victoria and next to no waiting even on a Friday night! $11 burger+fries with any drink felt like I was getting too much for my money

One of the best spots in Victoria for a burger and drinks. Come here often and absolutely love it. Only downside is the sometimes long wait lines, but that goes to show how great this place is

Food was okay I guess. The service was very slow. It took so long for them to even ask me what I wanted to drink, clear my table after I was done eating, and to bring the bill. I was nearly done my meal before the waitress asked if I was doing okay. I spent 1.5 hours there when I should’ve easily only spent an hour!

Dirty. Felt bad for the people waiting in line walked in and saw a dirty floor. Were advised we only had at least an hour to eat. Others were loud and were not eating so this is where I felt bad for people waiting outside.

June13. Placed2orders at the Yates locations for pickup for6pm. Waited 15 minutes.chips were cold and hamburgers were dry. We live right across the street from this establishment. Do not recommend this establishment if you want good warm burgers and fries.

I have been told this is the burger place in town to visit! The service was friendly though it did feel a bit slow. After ordering a drink, it felt like a long wait until it arrived and I could order. I did enjoy their burger version of a beef dip, though the au jus was almost more like a gravy, and they provide a decent portion of fries with the order. Overall, it was a positive first experience and the length of service did not ruin my night as I enjoyed using the time to catch up with my companion.

Very skilled staff and competent cooks and I'm very impressed with the quality of the staff not leaving me to want, all the way around a very good experience with the restaurant and the staff and the cooks highly recommended

Horrible food and a terrible general manager. Out of all the locations in Vic this is the worst one. Go to the sannich or Lanford location, don't waste your time here.

Sometimes dry and sometimes amazing. This chain of restaurants is mainly riding on the coattails of it's past reputation. The decor hasn't really been updated since it originally opened and all of the new restaurants have been modelled on the original restaurant that opened years and years ago. The customer service seems to vary as much the burgers. Sometimes sub par and sometimes amazing.

Hit and miss. Most of the time its great, other times, not. For example, tonight ordered 2 burgers with fries.and the fries were dark like they were sitting in the fryer too long, mushy, greasy and unappetizing. My partner took the fries out of the box and it kept its shape. Disappointing that they would serve that to their customers

Great food but worst experience, would get better service at Mcdonalds.

Went for dine in, we were told that wait time was about 45min and they would give a call when table became available. We didn’t get call back but went back about 45 min later to check up on time.

However, our name wasn’t even on the wait list, and they were struggling with technical difficulties with the reservation system. They told us to wait about 20 mins+ more and asked us to leave and would call if the table was available. They treated us like impatient customers said something about don’t come in if we don’t call you. When clearly, they didn’t even put our name on the list!

I don’t mind waiting, but rather than accepting their mistake and apologizing, they blamed on corona virus, and that it was normal to wait about an hour and it would be better if we dine somewhere else.

Fyi: open table reservations take priority over waitlist, so if you see some spot available within 1-2 hours book it because it is faster.

Food is 5 star, but would never go back to be treated like a beggar.

The servers are attentive but not overwhelming. They made sure to bring the kids food first. Big portions.

Obviously best place to have burger n those big onion rings cravings, must try the onion rings and the choice of burgers are enormous to drool over

Just left about 30 minutes ago and had to toss up this review. Maddy is the best server I’ve ever had, absolutely hilarious and on the ball. Big thanks for making dumb jokes with my fiancé and I, definitely made the food taste 20% better. Been coming here for 5 years but she super made the late night visit stand out!

Went here for lunch. Seated immediately, served very quickly. Food came out exactly how I ordered it, drinks refilled before they were empty. Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Parking can be a bit crazy if you come during a busy time, but you are well within walking distance of a few parkades and plenty of paid street parking (if you dont mind a couple extra bucks).

Loved the delicious burger I had nice house salad with tasty lemon dressing. Awesome service friendly staff.

I end up here almost every month and love it every time! The Wild Mushroom burger is my favourite and I love how you can choose to get half of two different sides at no extra cost (unlike other restaurants). They added the Pina Colada to the drink menu this year and it is super tasty. They also have great monthly cocktails. And during happy hour, cocktails are on special which makes them that much better.
The service is great nine times out of ten and the staff are always super cheerful. The price matches the portions and I always feel stuffed by the end of my meal.
I will definitely be going back again!

I visited with a group of friends earlier today. Always a joy. One of my friends had a particularly good time, he came out of the bathroom raving about the pomegranate soap.

It's at a great spot downtown. It's not a very big place, but it is very busy. The staff is extremely efficient, so the wait time is minimal. They have a very diverse menu of burgers as well as some delicious salads and not burger options. That being said, burgers are the main attraction, and Bin 4 does them well.

The food is consistently good, and you can't beat the half-price burgs after 9pm, but the last few times I've been the service has been lackluster. I understand that it gets busy, especially with UVic students for late night, but the hostess staff at the front counters have been quite abrasive lately. When the line stretches outside and people prop the doors open to put their name down, we have been told with raised voices to keep the doors closed and wait our turn. They seem to treat us like children, not customers.

This was just incredible! Healthy options, gluten free options and good quality ingredients. I over ate. At the same time I don't have that heavy feeling. I am so impressed. Thank you to the fantastic staff as well. On it without bugging. Kind and smiley. Will be back very soon!

Thier burgers are pretty good I'll admit that. Personally I think it's a little overpriced and I don't like how crowded it is. Feels more like a bar than a burger lounge. Food is good however.

Honestly not to my taste. Olive tapenade on my "Chicken of the Sea" burger way too salty. Combines a small fast turnover sized place with bespoke burgers.

Wow, best burger I've had in a long time! So many options to choose from, I had the feature burger, the Havana, and my partner had the chicken with brie and bacon, and we were both so impressed. Really tasty and fast and friendly service.

Gotta love bin 4 in Victoria. Come after 9pm for late night half of burgers. Show up a little early (8: 45 they start talking names) because there is a line. They have a monthly burger that’s always interesting. My go to is the Dirty Bourbon burger. The bison burgers are also quite good.

Great service we had last night. Food arrived a bit late, took about 25 min. I guess we are growing impatience. Wine choices not good at all you guys can certainly do better. I know burger and beer, but if you are offering wine, then do your homework. Burgers were great and tasty. Onion rings on the other hand, bad. I could not finish them.

It's a lot of food. I can't finish a whole meal by myself. All the burgers I've tried are really delicious. The deep fried pickles are good. I like all the dips I've tried. They have a good selection of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. You can get your burger on a stack of lettuce too which is great!

Great burgers and the homemade chips there are great. I'll still rate it 5 stars but with the other, more innovative burger joints in town, this place should come up with some new fresh ideas and implement them to keep people interested rather than the same options.

Enjoyed a juicy hamburger with fries while sipping on a ceasar! The ambiance was laid-back and the music was at a perfect volume. We where a group of 6. All of our meals came quickly and everyone enjoyed there meal. The price is very affordable for the sizes of the burgers and sides. We definitely all where full as we left.

Our server was smiling, kind and always there if we needed something. All of our orders where right and came quickly after we ordered.

Overall experience was Great, I will come back this summer to enjoy their outdoor deck.

Huge range and some great combinations. But the burgers were over cooked and dry, pork and chorizo should be moist but it was just a hard dry brick. The side salad was stand out part of the meal.
