The workers are nice the atmosphere is somehow okay but the food needs some improvements. I don't know if it is the quality of the food they use or how they cook it, you cannot help yourself thinking that the food doesn't deserve the price. I understood that it is a meeting point for the locals that's why it is hard to find a seat. But not a place that I would choose for meals.

The service is awesome, the staff are very welcoming. They take great care, the order that is presented before me meets my dietary needs. If you want healthy, hearty soup, this is the go to place in Gibsons. There are many other yummy options as well, Thank you everyone at Black Bean Cafe, once again you are Awesome!

Love the old fashioned turkey and cranberry sandwiches, it’s great knowing that gluten free bread is available, I highly recommend stopping by when in gibsons.

My favourite place on the Coast - because of the friendly staff, the beautiful location, and the great food. Selfishly I'm sad it's gotten so busy but super happy that it's doing so well! Also happy they've taken over the ferry location!

Busy, but nice-tasting food to be had here. Smallish in size, but if your timing is on, you'll get something to satisfy the taste buds.

Came here on a busy Saturday morning for a coffee and to sit on the patio and read. Although the place was packed, the staff was very friendly and I didn’t mind waiting for my order. The coffee was very nice. I’ll need to come back for breakfast or lunch because everyone at tables around me were absolutely raving about the food while they were eating.

Had breakfast after coming in from Vancouver on the ferry. Only a few places were open so early. Got a big table for 7 of us. My friend said the coffee was smooth. Lots of options for breakfast entrees. Because I have allergies to gluten, egg and dairy, and they don't take any money off the price of my entree, I gave my eggs to my friend. It's too bad that restaurants don't adjust for a substitutions. For example, if I order a hamburger at a restaurant, but want cheese, I pay a bit extra. But if they only have a cheeseburger on the menu and I can't eat the cheese, I still pay the cheeseburger price for a hamburger. If I don't want eggs and CAN'T eat eggs, I shouldn't have to still pay for them, and not get them. To keep the value of my money, I took the eggs and gave them to someone who could eat them. My plate looks so empty compared to my friend's breakfast sandwich, with double eggs! I usually won't go back to restaurants with this type of pricing. But seems like my friends all liked their meals and drinks. It was $42 for 2 entrees and 2 drinks including tip and tax.

Authentic little bistro with fresh food and great tasting coffee. We had sandwich, bagel, muffins and coffees and everything was delicious! Definitely recommend stopping by

We are visiting Gibsons and had planned to not go anywhere twice, but the coffee here is so good, we came back! First time we also had the cinnamon bun which was incredible. Today we grabbed a couple strawberry rhubarb muffins; also incredible. Food and coffees seem fairly priced considering their size, and the place has been busy every time we drive by so I'm guessing the rest of their food is stellar as well.

Hands down the best coffee and sandwiches in Gibsons. The most wonderful family owned business that I know with excellent people and great service. A must see when visiting the coast!

Came here for a quick bite and some morning coffee. Staff was super friendly and the food was top notch!

My girlfriend and I shared the Mediterranean Tuna sandwich which came with some kettle chips! Flavour full and filling. I help myself to their artichoke, spinach and cheddar skin best scone I've ever had will definitely come back. I had the iced Americano and she had the iced latte also delicious coffee.

I took a photo of the scone but forgot to take one for the sandwich because we gobbled it right up!

Fantastic fresh food. Friendly staff. Dog friendly patio. Liked it so much visited twice. When we arrived on ferry for a great lunch and again before we departed for breakfast to go.

They need to put some food at below $8 and not baked goods. We are not all tourists. Charging $7 for a 6 oz banana strawberry yogurt drink, is a disservice to customers. The image attached is a bill from a different restaurant where I spent $92, six dollars at a time because I was given the choice.

Right at the ferry port. Had breakfast while waiting for the delayed ferry. Great and numerous gluten free options. Delicious coffee also decaffeinated and with plant-based milk. There is no separate seating area. You sit on the picnic benches in the harbor.

Great food options for everyone, gluten and or vegetarians. Coffee was good, only suggestion is to have the staff let you know the coffee will be ready on the side when they give you the order number. Outdoor seating give you views of the water.

If I could take a ferry every single day from the mainland just to eat their fresh muffins and mouth watering breakfast sandwiches I would. It was so good I came back twice. The staff were so courteous and attentive to detail. The atmosphere was rich with smiles and aromas of coffee, food and the sea:) The water station on the side is cool and they have SOO MANY OPTIONS for everyone:) Everything they do is made to perfection!

Its everything you want in a cafe. Vegan and vegetarian option too. Great food and great atmosphere.

Local coffee place. Absolutely recommend. It's very relaxed and chilled out vibe here, the breakfast is are all day, and there are sandwiches and a lot of selections to choose from. They also have some pastries such as scones and cookies and muffins, so you can always order that in a coffee if you're not looking for too much food.

If you’re looking for the best breakfast sandwich on the coast this is where you’ll find it. Also their muffins are so soft and gooey. And their coffee is great and reasonable prices.
